Little disappointed with our 2 night stay. We arrived early evening after a long trip from UK. Check in was very slow and also gave us incorrect information about our room. Little disappointed with our 2 night stay. We arrived early evening after a long trip from UK. Check in was very slow and also gave us incorrect information about our room. We came down about 7.30 to get some food and went to top deck to get a view. Most of the area was blocked off with work being done. Went down to reception to ask about getting food and at 8pm we were too late even for bar food. We asked about food recommendations locally and were told to go to the 7/11 store. Next day needed a lie in as traveling to Australia the following day. Work on the flooring in the room above us started and noise and glue smell was dreadful. Asked if we could move but told hotel full. Didn’t seem full. Read less

The only thing that could be changed is the pricing of drinks at the pool bar. I know you are paying for the view, but it was more expensive there than having a drink at the Marina Bay Sands bar. Our room was good, quiet and clean with a large comfortable bed and great black out curtains. The room had a kettle and plenty of tea/coffee etc and provided toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturiser. The shower could have been better - it was the old fashioned style with an arm attached attached to a pipe , which kept slipping down and falling off on the odd occasion - but it was OK. We would certainly stay here again. Read less

The bathroom has the usual amenities (except it's a shampoo and conditioner 2-in-1, so bring your own conditioner) and they use MALIN+GOETZ products. I didn't have meals at the hotel because the property is attached to a mall and is in a good spot on Orchard Street. The pool didn't get crowded during my stay and was a nice and relaxing. The only issue I had wasn't the hotel's fault. There's a park across the street and has a festival (I think every weekend) with blaring music until 10pm. Bring earplugs if you sleep early and will stay on a Saturday or Sunday night. Read less

Thanks for a fantastic stay! This hotel - part of the Shangri La group - is ideally located right above Somerset MRT station on Orchard Road and has a stunning rooftop terrace and infinity pool with incredible city views. I'd definitely recommend paying the premium, if possible, and opt for a Club Room, which provides access to the 19th floor lounge for breakfast and a two hour slot in the evening for food and drinks. The breakfast was a real treat with a rotating, a la carte menu of Asian, Western and Healthy options. Special thanks to Jeraldine for being so efficient, welcoming and friendly! (Evenings in the Club Room were fine but could get crowded and noisy with big groups.) We were given a Panoramic View Room - really spacious and well-designed. Like all Singapore hotels, the laundry is extortionate, so head to the Cuppage Plaza Centre, 2 mins from the hotel, and drop your stuff in to Laundry Day. Ran by a lovely old Chinese couple who did a bag-full of clothes overnight for the same price as cleaning one shirt in the hotel. Read less
