Thank you so much to the Raffles Singapore team for making my birthday stay a beautiful and absolutely special one. From the moment Vanessa escorted us to our suite and said, "Welcome home" to our fantastic team of butlers to the really sweet poolside team and super-attentive Ludeth from the Tiffin Room, I could not have asked for a better way for my family and me to celebrate my 24th. Each of you made Raffles Singapore our home, and pulled all the stops to make us feel extra valued. For a huge hotel chain and a super luxurious one, I am beyond impressed with how Raffles honours the charm of Singapore through their genuine and authentic staff. My family and I have stayed at hotels all across the world and Raffles tops our experience, Raffles doesn't feel like another hotel. Raffles feels like home. Kudos to the Raffles Team! Read less

I wanted a memorable goodbye before leaving Singapore combined with the belated 40th birthday celebration and did Raffles Hotel deliver! Online check-in took all the formalities off the table and upon arrival I was taken straight to my suite. To my surprise I got upgraded to immense and gorgeous Grand Suite, on the 3rd floor of the main building, which has a huge terrace overlooking inner green yard. The room is completely soundproof and even if it’s Singapore downtown with much construction work, no noise gets in. After recent renovation the rooms and the whole property looks stunning and no expense was spared, everything is of the highest quality. Surprisingly there’s no ironing board in the room but it was promptly delivered upon request. Quirky items include the bath pillow, special pillow menu or complete stationery box. I usually get annoyed with the electronic controls but Raffles IPads are really intuitive to control curtains and aircon. Nothing was too much to ask, all staff is super kind and treats you like royalty. We were running very late to Long Bar and then to dinner and the staff arranged later booking, even if the places were full. The hotel staff was never annoyed with our many pictures requests and joked around about our late arrival. Lastly, breakfast was absolutely delicious. My check-out got extended to 4 pm, just perfect. Thank you Raffles Hotel Team for making my stay and 40th birthday celebration so memorable!!! I’ll definitely look forward to coming back! Read less

Previously I was raving how good the service was at Hotel Kempinski at Capitol. After having my Wedding Anniversary celebrated over at Raffles Hotel for a 2 night staycation, it has made to my list of the best hotel in Singapore. Every detail was meticulously paid attention to which I will share in details below. Upon arrival, there was no need to check in at the counter. All we had to do was to relay our reservation to the staff at the counter (situated before the entrance) and we were swiftly ushered in for a photograph at the grand lobby. Before we know it, we were attended by Amir who showed us to our room at Palm Court Suite while giving a brief orientation of the hotel. However, one point for improvement would be for the staff to explain the privileges that the package entails i.e. where to spend the dining credits / where to claim the 2 welcome drink and etc. Shortly after, we were introduced to our butler and our luggage were also sent over. Another point for consideration was that we would appreciate that the staff remove their shoes before entering the room if the hotel guests have done so. Moving to the rooms, we love the newly renovated rooms where you get a good mix of the modern colonial interior. The rooms maintained the old switches while the ipad served as the main control for the room. The room was of a good size at 70 sqm and has a layout typical of a English Home. We were first greeted by the parlour, followed by the bedroom and a walk-in wardrobe before leading to the bathroom. The bath tub is large n free standing which made it really luxurious. The children amenities came in a complete set of shower gel, shampoo, sun screen, after sun lotion, body lotion, insect repellant and hand sanitizer.  There was even a special baby bath towel with the signature General embroidered on it. The baby cot provided was the wooden type n it was wide. Spacious enough for my toddler to flip around the bed. Across our room was a large patch of grass which was very suitable for kids to run about. It was also the wing facing the main hotel lobby. Turn down service was cute as there is a short story placed on the bedsheets cover every night for some bedtime story. The bed and bedsheets were really very fine and comfortable. Service staff are friendly and very responsive. As my husband had made a note that it was a celebration for our wedding anniversary, the hotel had made a note on their system. When we had our breakfast at the Tiffin Room the next morning, service staff had greeted us good morning and wished us happy anniversary. This was also practiced in restaurants operated under the Group. We had our lunch at Yi by Jereme Leung n our buns were plated with happy anniversary wordings. Another area that was lacking was the breakfast spread. Quality & selections were not as extensive as Kempinski (prosecco was served for breakfast). Even Shangri-la Valley Wing breakfast at the Summit Room serves steak and caviar for breakfast. There were local delights served during breakfast such as nasi lemak and mee goreng but it was average. We enjoyed the freshly squeezed juices, the Raffles blend coffee and the crossaint. For the second day breakfast, we opted for in room dining and we liked the breakfast better. Last but not least, we thoroughly enjoyed the Heritage Tour conducted by Mr Roslee who is a long serving staff of the famed hotel. The tour also included a visit at the Sir Stamford Raffles Presidential suite which was an eye opener. It was great to listen in to his anecdotes of serving royalties & celebrities. If the time permits, I would be glad to listen to him talk all day. As we could only book the heritage tour on the check out day, we were given an extension to check out till 5pm. Mr Roslee had reassured us that we shouldn't be rushed and he would see to the arrangement. Upon check out, Mr Roslee and his staff saw us to the door and helped with luggage and were waving good bye even after the car had driven off . We were truly impressed by such impeccable service rendered at Raffles Hotel. It was really money well spent. Can't wait to be back at the hotel for another staycation! Read less

We very rarely write reviews, let alone a lengthy one. Yet, this time we feel we have to, so that we may give the hotel the credit it deserves. We held our Wedding Solemnisation and Reception at Raffles Singapore's Jubilee Ballroom on 18 Sep 2021. It was clearly one of our best decisions ever. Planning for a wedding during the pandemic period was psychologically stressful, but both my husband & I agreed that choosing Raffles Singapore as our wedding location was a blessed decision. Raffles Singapore clearly stood way out from the other hotels we have been to (both local and overseas) with its impeccable service - from its employees' proactiveness, thoughtfulness, meticulousness, to the hotel's beautiful unique colonial facade and decor, to the top-notch facilities available. We also received many compliments from our friends and relatives for the wedding menu (Yi by Jereme Leung). We stayed in the Residence Suite (Marlborough) - an extremely spacious suite with a parlor, pantry, bedroom, 2 washroom (powder and bathroom) and 1 foyer. There was a huge array of items for use (we literally almost did not have to pack for essentials), we had a great afternoon tea on-the-house enjoyed in-suite, and the electronics (tv, curtains, lights etc.) could be smartly controlled from the iPads provided. We felt like royalty. It was clear that a key differentiator of Raffles Singapore's were its employees as it was evident that they perform their duties with strong passion. There are several individuals we would wish to highlight, as they greatly contributed to our perfect wedding and comfortable stay: 1) Penny Tan, Raffles Wedding Specialist: We are extremely grateful for her efficient help and wise nuggets of advice in the months leading up to our wedding. Our plans had to be changed multiple times during this period of uncertainty, and many decisions were made only last-minute, but Penny was always very understanding and always went an extra mile to ensure that things went well for us. We were not the only couple that she had to respond to, yet, she stayed patient with us, and was always proactive in ensuring our wedding run smoothly. 2) Budi, Raffles Banquet Manager: Budi went the extra mile to ensure that our Wedding Banquet went well. Indeed, our programme went smoothly; we were briefed clearly on what we had to do at each point (e.g. pre-event rehearsal, champagne toasting, cake cutting), the food was served at the perfect pace alongside our programme, and Budi also checked in on my husband & us frequently to ensure that amidst our busy schedules, we were still well-fed and hydrated. 3) Bharath, Raffles AV Support: My hubby & I were rather ambitious - we prepared multiple videos and songs that we wished to play throughout the reception. Bharath provided strong support to our Groomsman (who was coordinating the media) and ensured that everything went smoothly - from the media transition, to the volume of each music, to fading in/out media at the exact right point. 4) Claren, Raffles Butler: Claren gave us an orientation of the suite when we first checked in. She did a great help by helping to request for us a late check out the day after the wedding, and planned for our afternoon tea to be served only the next day as she intuitively knew we would not have had the time to eat on the wedding day itself. The next afternoon after the wedding, while my hubby and I were just strolling at another corner of Raffles Hotel (far from our suite) and Claren called out to us and asked if we had our afternoon tea. We were taken by surprise that she still recognised us (we were all masked up!!) amidst the many guests of Raffles Singapore, still remembered our afternoon tea, and it made us feel truly special. 5) Amelia, from the hotel main lobby: Amelia brought us to our suite when we first checked in. She was very friendly and approachable and chatted with me the entire way to the suite - it wasn't a near walk, but she made it very enjoyable with her amicable personality. We decided to spend an extra night at the hotel before our Wedding Day and to our great surprise - we were upgraded to the Residence Suite. The surprise was revealed to us only when we found ourselves walking into the incredibly spacious suite. 6) Grace, from the hotel main lobby: The morning after my hubby and I had breakfast at Tiffin Room, we wanted to take a photo for keepsake at the iconic main lobby. Grace, being very observant, caught sight of us and volunteered to take a photo for us. The effort she took to take that photo was why we think she deserves a special mention - she patiently waited for all other guests in the background to go off, before half-kneeling down to take a good shot for us. She even brought us to another iconic photo-spot (in front of the hotel, at the foyer) and took another memorable keepsake photo for us. Raffles Singapore is now our favourite hotel ever, and we look forward to visiting it again in the many years to come. Cheers, Daniel & Ashley Read less
