W Singapore Sentosa Cove

We had a wonderful stay. I loved the modern and fun vibe of W. The staff were very welcoming and warm. We really enjoyed the pool and noticed the kids having a great time on the slide. Great amenities (pool, gym, spa treatments), attentive service, clean and comfortable. I would recommend W Sentosa without hesitation and can't wait to stay there again. Location-wise it is further away from Sentosa's main attractions of Palawan and Siloso Beaches (Adventure Cove, Universal Studios, etc) but is manageable with planning and utilising the Sentosa Bus B (noting the last bus back into W is at 10pm from Beach Station). The W Singapore has 240 rooms, of which, 27 are Suites! This is an excellent ratio making it more likely to get a complimentary Suite upgrade! Before arrival, I had some questions and communication with the hotel via the mobile chat function on the Marriott Bonvoy app. I mainly chatted with Charlene who was AMAZING! She was so quick to respond and organised everything (and more!!!). She really impressed me! On arrival, I was greeted by Stacey who checked me in and also Sebastian (Room Director). We had a warm and friendly conversation and I was upgraded to a a Corner Marvellous Suite overlooking the marina! This suite is fantastic and you can check it out on You Tube at Love Flying and Hotels. It Is very luxurious! As an Ambassador elite member, I opted for Breakfast as my welcome gift. The other choices were 1,000 points or the local amenity which was a W t-shirt. Stacey gave he t-shirt free and 2 complimentary drinks vouchers (from a selected menu). Stacey showed me to my Suite and was very friendly and welcoming - nice girl! As I explored the grounds, a staff member called Jaya gave a warm welcome and gave me a private and thorough tour, whilst others had a friendly chat! Being alone, this was very welcome! During my stay I again interacted with the hotel via the mobile chat as well as face to face - and both Vinny and Rex were so amazing - exceeding any expectations! They were so friendly and Vinny also responded several times despite having already left work for the day! There are 2 pools, a large pool shared between children and adults and a smaller but still large, infants’ pool. There is a Spa open from 10am to 9pm and a 24 hour modern fitness centre. There are a number of restaurants onsite and the food is great! Check out Skirt which is the signature steakhouse where they offer the option of choosing a set menu with wine pairing. Another option is the Kitchen table where you can enjoy a seafood buffet or Sunday brunch and everything in between. Being vegetarian, the hotel allowed me to order from the in-room dining menu as it has more veggie options and eat at Skirt (as the Kitchen Table was closed). This was a very nice gesture! Prior to arrival, I asked the hotel to organise a special breakfast for me – cheese omelette with a side plate of fruit – specifically, berries such as strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, some mango and avocado. The hotel was more than happy. There were a few other things that the hotel did for me and clearly went over and beyond my expectations – they had set the bar very high and it is a hotel I highly recommend worth visiting – I will definitely be back along with the St. Regis. In-room sound system is fantastic, felt like we were in a theatre. Loyalty Experience Team reached out in advance; attentive during our stay. Enjoyed the breakfast spread and friendly service. Excellent housekeeping---our rooms feel so comforting, after a long day out in the sun. All these plus a free shuttle bus for easy access to a host of interesting activities and places to visit in Singapore. Overall, we felt well taken-cared-of during our stay. Thank you W Singapore. Their Whatever Whenever service is the best practice ever! The one-bedroom suite we got was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, with a fantastic view. The breakfast is excellent. W hotel has everything you want from Asian selections, Middle East, Western, and more, but what I love the most is their salads. Those Endive salad, watermelon salad, Mediterranean salad, Heirloom tomatoes salad and Kale salad are divine. I eat them daily, along with fresh salad from the salad bar. They also have fresh green juice. The hotel grounds are excellent with the lawn and the pool with the slide, so they’re great fun for kids. We forgot to bring our phones and iPad chargers, and we asked if they had any for us to borrow. They got us all the types we needed. We went to Vivo Mall one afternoon, and it got so late, around 9 pm. We waited for the taxi, and it’s been 30 minutes, and all the taxis were booked. We didn’t know what to do, so we called the hotel and the concierge helped us out and arranged for a cab to come and get us to the mall. All the gentlemen at the concierge are great. They’re so helpful—a big shout out to Kumar for helping us arrange the taxi from the mall. I got my period during our stay. I called reception to find out that the shop sells at the shop downstairs, and the receptionist said we can provide them for you, and they have both pads and tampons. I was so impressed. Our 5-year-old boy had a bad cough from the weather change, and I rang reception to find out the distance to the clinic or hospital. When we returned to the room, there was a tray of beautiful fruit, a mat toy with markers, a beautiful note wishing our boy a speedy recovery, and balloons. It was such a remarkable and memorable stay. Thank you to the W staff for the beautiful stay. You guys are fantastic. Read less
