Excellent 5-star Hotel on the river. This is a lovely hotel very well located for a stay in Bangkok. The rooms are a good size, quiet and well appointed. All the food offerings are very good, with the breakfast buffet something special. Mocha and Muffins, much more than a "Cake Shop", is a great asset to the Hotel, with its all-day menu offering, good for breakfast, lunch, etc. Loved their smoothies. The pool facing the river is excellent and for some retail therapy take the hotel shuttle boat to the Iconsiam. We loved our return stay, and we look forward to our next visit. We in tented for the start of our family holiday to be busy with the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, but where we stayed was a lovely surprise. It was an oasis for us to wind down, relax and take a long breath and enjoy our family. This resort, exceeded our expectations, all the services provided by the Anantara team were top notch every person that worked there was welcoming, and helpful. We travelled on the free shuttle boat and caught the hop on hop off boats to all the temples and markets near the river. And the hotel had a lovely pool complete with a pool bar to cool down afterwards. An ice bath was also available in the morning for those that were daring. A well stocked fitness gym, an outdoor tennis court , and a well thought out day spa. The buffet breakfast had a lovely selection of the usual western menu (bacon, eggs, toast, yoghurt etc) but it also had a lovely Asian influence of not just congi but Thai curry noodles, Indian Dahls, Japanese miso, and Korean kimchi. My favourite had to be the juice bar, and the mango station. All in all this stay was a lovely way to be introduced to the the diversity and exotic city of Bangkok. Highly recommend this hotel, it was not far away from the city jungle, but enough to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the river and nature. Five stars! Read less

Stayed here for a few nights and found it really good. Rooms are well appointed and quiet. Hotel is in a good location on the riverside and next to a handy shopping mall away from the tourist centre but the hotel boat takes you to the boat pier/skytrain station so getting anywhere in Bangkok is easy. Breakfast on the outdoor terrace is great with an immense choice. Only ate at the pool bar which was good and has a happy hour. Recommend for a more relaxed stay in such a busy city. Read less
