The hotel was fantastic in a central location. My room was wonderful, I couldn’t have been happier!! The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond when I lost my passport. The amenities including pool, restaurants & bars were brilliant!!

Summary - A perfectly good accommodation for a short stay in Bangkok for a family of 4. We stayed here for 3 nights and mainly used it as a place to rest and recover from the day's trips and sightseeing. Location: The location is good, within walking distance to the metro, plenty of local eateries, and massage places. Nothing we visited in terms of markets and shopping centers was more than 30 minutes away by taxi or metro. Breakfast: Very average. Not a great choice but sufficient. There was an egg station during the weekdays, but it was not available on Sunday (our first day), which was a huge disappointment. Rooms: A family of 4 stayed in one room, and the kids had a large bunk bed which they enjoyed. The rooms were quite dated, as is most of the hotel. The shower was very powerful but was handheld, not a rainfall showerhead. There was a separate bath and shower available to use. Restaurants: This is where the hotel did well (apart from breakfast). We ate lunch at the Mexican restaurant (poolside) and had a fine dining experience at the Indian restaurant (Rang Mahal), and the food was excellent. Rang Mahal was incredibly expensive by Thailand standards. However, it is a fine dining experience with views overlooking the city. For those in London, it was like paying for your local Indian restaurant but getting upmarket cuisine and views like the Shard. Pool: A lovely outdoor pool to relax and escape the Bangkok heat. It was very shallow on one end (under 1m) and then went to about 1.5m. The water was lovely and warm.It was at the pool restaurant where I had my only really negative experience. My wife had returned from outside and brought back a bottle of water to the pool (we had already had several pool snacks and drinks and spent a decent amount of money) when the staff jumped on us about not bringing in external food and drink - it was one bottle of water. They were quite insistent and rude about this, insisting it was hotel policy and not about money. After I said they could just charge me for a bottle of water and let me drink the one we had, they went away - poor customer service and showed some of the true colors of the hotel. Would I return? The breakfast was disappointing, and the experience with the staff at the pool was annoying. If I'm here for 1-2 nights, I would stay again, but anything longer, I would stay elsewhere. You can always visit the restaurants without staying at the hotel! Read less

Good location, but hotel is waaaaaay past its prime. Room very run down, mould in and around the AC-vent, hallway carpet looks like 10 year wear. All in all simple not the value expected for this price, you can get much better, even in same area (Sukumvit). Or you go a little out (10-15min), then you get 5 Stars for some money

This hotel has a great location! The rooms are spacious, and if you’re not fussed about the dated and tired decor then it’s ideal! The carpets are stained and dirty in the corridors. Only one of two lifts was working during our stay; meant for a long wait. At times we used the stairs, here there were loose floor tiles, unsafe tread and terribly marked and stained walls. A lick of paint and updated flooring would sort this easily. Breakfast was mediocre at best, the fresh fruit was the best offering. There’s not nearly enough seating. We had a family suite which was huge, but the beds were unstable, the valance sheets were stained with what looked like blood and the aircon was really noisy. The shower curtains were old and brown and the extractor fan hung from the ceiling! The two redeeming qualities are the location and staff who were kind and polite. Read less

Second time at the Rembrandt . Location is excellent and staff are always at hand to help with the famous Thai smile . Staff word incredibly hard to make your stay comfortable . We stayed in the leading rooms that are a little tired and in need of a refurb . Glass bottled water in fridge is free however this may be a H&S issue being glass . Seeing some people take them by the pool . Not sure why they do not use plastic bottles like most hotels but I understand we are trying to reduce plastic . Big shout out for Toubby and the boys in consiege they are brilliant and will give you any information should you ask . Taxis and where to eat and the best Thai massages . Also the reception staff and the staff at breakfast and also the room maids . Thank you all 🙏🙏❤️ Read less
