The hotel

The gorgeous gardens and pools at Krabi La Playa Resort provide a great getaway, offering up endless hours of relaxation. One of the resort’s swimming pool is pretty traditional, a series of interconnecting pools accompanied by sunbeds, poolside dining, and swim-up bar with the other ‘Emerald Pool’ is something a bit different. Both stretch right up to some of the hotel’s renovated rooms and suites, allowing guests to step right into the water from their terrace. The two acre gardens are just as inviting, with their own bar and seating spots. And, if that’s not quite enough space to relax, you could always head to the sands of Ao Nang and Noppharat Thara beaches, 150 meters away, with shopping, dining and nightlife nearby.

On arrival they were very helpful and friendly and when I pointed out some discomfort they had no problems to accommmodate to another room. We like the location and its facilities. Never had any problems with transfers or outings here. We will come back here everytime

My family and I spent two weeks at this hotel July/August. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating at all times - nothing was too much trouble. The pools were lovely 3x main pools that came off of each other - one with a swim up bar - and the emerald pool located on its own - happy hour ran twice a day and longer than an hour - just a shame the beers weren’t part of happy hour - only cocktails and juices. The music playing around the pool was very dated and monotonous after 14nights but this would be my only criticism. We were B&B and the breakfast choices were very well catered for - we never went hungry. The rooms were well kept and air conditioning was much needed. Hotel liaison person for trips was always around and gave us good prices for the trips we wanted. The hotel was well positioned with 7-11s close by - less than 10minute walk to the beach - amid everything but away enough to be quiet. When the hotel got busier they were quick to accommodate more sun loungers around the pool. Read less

Good points - great location and a lot better than the previous time we had stayed in krabi at another hotel. Location was a huge plus point with a 7 Eleven conveniently about 2 minutes from the hotel and then if your turn left aol the bars, restaurants and beach etc. plus the awesome night market if you turn right. Again perfectly located. Staff were friendly and room was ok to be honest. Ample for what we needed. Bad points - my family thought the selection at breakfast was poor. Also, the food and drink on-site was very overpriced and when you have a 7 Eleven and all the other shops within a very short walk, prices at the hotel seemed to wish to take advantage of tourists who can’t walk more than a hundred yards. You are not on the beach here, you have to walk for about 10 minutes to get there, there is some uphill walking. The local beach is beautiful especially at sunset. I liked the vibe that came with this location, it was touristy and had bars and more people around. The hotel room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was okay - the frying of fresh eggs was quite dire if I'm honest. The pool area was not too busy, also clean and I found it a relatively aesthetically pleasing environment to chill in.
