Enjoyed a fabulous 8 night stay at the Tubkaak with my husband and 14 year old son. The resort is truly stunning - photos don’t do it justice. We stayed in a pool villa which was gorgeous with our own private pool and outdoor bathtub - highly recommended. My son had a bed on the floor which was big and comfortable enough for a 6-feet-tall teenager. The hotel is set an half hour away from busy AoNang in a peaceful and beautiful bay. Unless you’re going to Krabi for the nightlife i would avoid tacky AoNang. If you are planning day trips to the islands the tour companies will collect you and it’s not too far to travel. The staff at the Tubkaak are exceptional and cannot do enough to make you feel cared for. My son was stung by a jellyfish on a snorkelling tour (which we arranged independently)and the hotel made up and delivered to our room a special poultice for him. Then followed up later to see how he was. Breakfasts overlooking the stunning beach are delicious. Unfortunately there is a plague of jellyfish in Thailand right now and hundreds washed up on the shore. As a result we didn’t swim off the beach but we did take advantage of a couple of the hotel’s free kayaks and otherwise sat by the pool. Hotel restaurants are good but not cheap. Would recommend using the hotel shuttle on Tuesday and Thursday eves to the night market in Ao Nang for some delicious street food. Hotel spa is wonderful. Again you pay more than in town but the experience is worth the extra and still a whole lot cheaper than a spa treatment back home! All in all a wonderful stay at an exceptional hotel. We hope to come back one day! Read less

Just.... WOW ... WOW....WOW. This hotel is the most amazing place. It exceeded my expectations a milliontimes over. The resort is so special, and the perfect size where they have created the most magical of surroundings. What makes this special place even more beautiful are the wonderful, attentive, professional, kind and beautiful staff. I have medical issues and as a solo traveller I could not have been better looked after. Every day they would check on me! It was like being surrounded by family. The Manager Ben was fantastic in every way and made sure my needs were fully met. Kim and Hana were like angels... as were all the other staff. The breakfast was out of this world ... as were all the other meals. I have travelled to many countries and many 5 star hotels in Thailand but this one is outstanding. So much so that I have changed my other hotels to return again tomorrow so that I can spend more time here to finish my trip off. I simply can't wait to return tomorrow. Read less

We ended our trip to Thailand at this hotel knowing we would need a peaceful and relaxing stay….it did not disappoint in any way! The grounds are fabulous, pool area spotless and the beach really well looked after. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, every single person greeted us with a warm smile and a greeting and really made us feel important and not just another visitor. Hana was lovely, as were the younger guys around the pool but in all honesty we couldn’t fault the staff. It was a lovely touch having soft drinks given out whilst sitting round the pool in the afternoon too. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice and both restaurants served great lunch and evening meals. Be sure to take advantage of happy hour with its great choice of cocktails! We also had a wonderful Thai massage at the spa and can highly recommend. On our last day we weren’t leaving the hotel until 8pm and had to check out at midday so asked if we could leave our bags somewhere whilst we used the pool etc. The staff were so helpful and arranged a smaller, vacant hotel room for us to use free of charge. The location of the hotel is a fair distance from Krabi town and Ao Nang but the hotel offers transport at an extra cost. We decided to use a local taxi service opposite as he was much cheaper and grateful for the business. There is a 7eleven nearby which is great for snacks/beer and sun cream top up and the taxi will wait for you for no extra charge. This trip was booked to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and we are so glad we picked this hotel, we were treated so well and made to feel very special. Thank you to all the Tubkaek staff. What a lovely lovely hotel. Set in beautiful gardens alongside the beach. It feels really secluded and tranquil, so a good place to unwind and relax. We stayed here for six nights in March, which covered my birthday and our wedding anniversary. We were lucky enough to book a table on the beach decorated with lanterns & candles and we were looked after by our waitress Hanna who was simply wonderful. A truly lovely experience not as expensive as you would imagine .. food here was the best, the Italian restaurant served wonderful pizzas, lamb chops, , steaks, and wonderful service in a really pretty setting overlooking the beach with the traditional Thai food served in their main restaurant. Also a very lovely setting where sometimes gentle music played and once a week they had a beach disco. The beach is a lovely white sandy beach and a fabulous view of the islands. There are five or six hotels along this beach and You can use any of them to go for a meal. The gardens as well as the beach areas were immaculate and very tropical. Also, the pool area was a delight and served drinks and lunch any time after 10 am. Right up until sunset. Our room was a Seaview room and right on the front overlooking the beach and gardens. It was absolutely beautiful with a an outside bath, huge bathroom and high ceilings in the bedroom with a view of the ocean. All the staff here were very polite, very happy and always rememberd our names which straightaway makes you feel special We would most certainly come back if in the area. Lovely lovely hotel Read less
