Nothing less than idyllic, Cape Panwa offers a quiet retreat in the southeast corner of this popular island. Excellent service, stylish rooms and world-class amenities can all be enjoyed as well as a secluded beach for hotel guests only. All suites and villas boast plenty of space and light with airy décor. There’s a variety to choose from, ideal for couples, families or groups of friends. Activities at the Cape Panwa abound – although if you want to do nothing more than laze by one of the 2 pools, that’s absolutely fine! As well as sporting activities, there are cultural activities and a spa in which to feel truly pampered. Children are welcomed with open arms and there’s plenty for them to do too, allowing parents time out to soak up the sun. I had an amazing time at this resort with the Michael Baisden Travel club! It was the ultimate resort …from the food, room, pool, beach and massage was amazing! I would definitely recommend this resort and would like to come back and stay longer. If you are thinking of going, you should and don’t miss the spa for a massage. It was so good!

After a very cold, wet and windy start to the year in the UK, we were looking forward to our May stay at Cape Panwa. We've been many times previously, but this was our first stay in May, as we usually stay in October. We arranged our airport transfers directly with the hotel, and when we arrived at Phuket Airport, it was so nice to see friendly faces who immediately recognised us and led us straight to our vehicle - No hanging around, which was wonderful after the journey we'd just done. When we arrived at the hotel, it was just like we hadn't been away. We were met on the steps by Voytek (the GM), Jakob (the new assistant manager) and Maggie (the guest relations manager), who swiftly checked us in and got our luggage transferred to our room. We had the same room that we've had for every stay at Cape Panwa, and it didn't disappoint - It was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and has great views over the beach and out to sea. A lovely touch was that the bed had been decorated with a huge 'Welcome Back' message from our maid. Although we were tired, we did have an invite to the Manager's cocktail party that evening, so we had a quick shower, a change of clothes, and we made our way down to Uncle Nan's. The evening was a fantastic experience, where we mingled with other repeat guests and some of the management team and staff. I came on holiday unwell, having issues with swallowing, but no matter which restaurant I ate in, the staff went out of their way to ensure there was always something that I could eat at breakfast and dinner. Special thanks here go out to Jakob and chef Nattawut - I would not have got through my stay without all of the help you provided, especially the tamarind tea! During our stay, we also had afternoon tea at Panwa House. We've had this on several occasions when we've stayed at Cape Panwa, and find it a wonderfully relaxing way to spend the afternoon. The food served is also of excellent quality and variety, especially considering that I'm gluten intolerant. We also dined at Top of the Reef - Our favourite evening dining experience. The food again was excellent quality and variety and the service provided by Supatra and her team was second to none! There have been many staff changes since our last stay in October 2023, but in our opinion, these changes have been good for the hotel. Maggie has really settled into her role in guest relations, and is a great asset. Nothing is too much trouble for her. Jakob is a breath of fresh air - always around, always smiling, and always checking that everything is OK. His management style, along with that of Voytek, gives us confidence that the hotel is in good hands. It is always good to see our old favourites - Mai, Somchai, Jhar, Jennifer, Sandy, Surasak, Kasim and Asaree. These members of staff always go the extra mile to ensure that you have the best time possible while you're on holiday. Also deserving of a mention are Ice (with her beautiful voice and talent at the piano) in Otters Bar, and the resident band who we consider to be amazing in Cafe Andaman. We did find that the hotel still has a lot to do when it comes to their new staff. Many of these do not interact with the guests. Not sure if this is because they do not understand English very well (which we experienced several times during our stay) or whether they just lack any confidence. This is such a shame, when the hotel has seasoned experts like Somchai, Jenny, Sandy and Jhar, who should be used as role models for any new intake. Despite us finding that May in Phuket was too hot for us, and the fact that I was unwell during my stay, neither of these ruined our holiday - We had an absolutely amazing time, and are already counting down the days to our next stay in October. We were very sad to leave. One final thanks to Khun Voytek, for all the things you did for us before and during our stay. It's all very much appreciated. Read less

My husband and I who were married here in 2018 were initially disappointed by the reception and in particular Khun Maggie. However the beautiful Jenny, Sandy, Chai, Khun Aom and Khun Geoffery were quick to turn this disappointment around. Khun Aom and Khun Geoffery could not be any more accommodating, or professional, as were the original pre covid days. The resort has a new GM and although it is tired and dated ,is being updated as we speak. The beautiful resort needs some love and attention and the new staff, like Khun Maggie need some Customer relations training. Hope to see you again soon. Michelle and Peter Burke Read less
