I cannot emphasize enough how amazing The Slate is. From the moment we stepped out of the car (arranged by them and only 10 minutes from the airport) the staff helped us feel welcome and valued. The room was extraordinary - a mixture of comfortable and high-end. The housekeeper assigned to my room was exceedingly kind, helpful, and efficient. I wish I could remember her name - she deserves a shoutout. Thank you for an amazing stay. I am already planning a trip back! Read less

The layout is well thought out, and the rooms are clean with everything you need. While I know the hotel has won numerous design awards, the design of the D-Bunk suite didn’t quite appeal to me personally—though that might be a matter of my own personal taste. The breakfast spread, however, was fantastic. We also dined at Black Ginger, the hotel's renowned restaurant. While we loved the boat ride, design, and atmosphere, the food itself didn’t live up to our expectations. We were hoping for something a bit more impressive. The location is great - only 10 mins from the airport. The beach behind the hotel, separated by a road, offers plenty of street food, restaurants, and massage spots, which was great as well. Overall, a good stay with some mixed experiences! Read less

My family and I have just return from our wonderful stay at The Slate. We stayed for a week in the one bedroom pool villa and it was truly fantastic! A generous sized space both indoor and outdoor. The swimming pool was a great size and the massage room was just fabulous. The hotel is well suited to children with a baby pool, large main pool, lovely kids club and child friendly dining options. There is also an adults only pool, if that’s more your vibe. We enjoyed that the hotel was in a quieter area of Phuket, but that it also had some great locals restaurants and vendors on the beach road. We also enjoyed the restaurants in the hotel, a good selection of food and friendly staff. Staff throughout the resort were fantastic and made us feel welcomed throughout our holiday. Many thanks to the fabulous Nim who was so warm and helpful, exceptional! A lovely place for a peaceful holiday and I hope to come back soon. Read less

Given flower corsages and scented towels during check in! We had a pool villa 2002 and Pearl Shell suite 1303. Both superb! Our villa was awesome! 2 masters slept 2 adults eqch and the middle villa was made up for the 2 kids with a sofa bed. Phenomenal butler service by Teddy Bear! The daily breakfast buffet was delicious. We didn't end up eating any other meals there as the beautiful beach and numerous restaurants are just outside the hotel. My husband and kids did the complimentary thai boxing instruction which was great. We had complimentary massages. Mom got an in villa massage as there are tables in the villa. Kids got foot massages in the villa twice! The spa is okay, I would recommend touring before reserving a treatment. Husband got bit up by mosquitoes during massage and waiting for the service there. I splurged for the in villa bbq dinner for all of us and well worth it! Location of the hotel is great with beach access. Close to airport. Overall experience phenomenal! We will definitely be returning! Read less

The rooms are very comfortable and spacious; we had a Pearl Bed Suite near the adult pool area and this was perfect for us. Breakfast was excellent every day. What really makes this hotel somewhere we might visit again is the staff. Everyone who engaged with us, and there were a lot, went above and beyond and could not be faulted in any way. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Read less
