We booked for a villa for 4 nights and it was the end of our 2 weeks holiday. Loved the villas interior, but you can’t enjoy the terrace because of the mosquitos. The buggyservice is handy, but sometimes you had to wait quite long time. The pool area is fantastic, but the poolboys could concentrate on their job and not in staring at the guests. Overall, the service could & should be in an other level if they want to be recognised as a 5-star resort. Have to mention Maria from the breakfast service, she is very professional & friendly. Other breakfast staff… they should go on proper training. Most of the dinner staff too. Also want to mention the guy who welcomed us when we arrived (can’t remember his name) and was very entertaining & and helpfull everyday. Fitness center lady was as expected. The front desk team is among the laziest I have seen, just hiding behind the computers & not recognising or greeting guests in the lobby. The place simply lacks proper management. We visited several places this time and got really excellent service for example in a 3-star resort. After the difficult years one would think that everybody would try their best so that they will get guests returning and good reviews. Here they have chosen other path, which is pitty as there is so much potential. Finally, I lost my sport watch somewhere (maybe in the resort, but can be somewhere else too) and sent two emails asking about this. Nobody cares to reply, not even the management when writing directly to them. Nice to see that somebody from the management is reading the reviews in here & replying… Read less

I booked 7 nights at the Vijitt as part of my girlfriends 30th birthday and we absolutely loved it. The private pool villa was amazing, we didnt want to leave to continue on to Bangkok. Lying next to the pool surrounded by all the trees and thatched roofs, listening to the birds and Cicadas, it felt like we were in paradise. The staff were also brilliant, everyone was so friendly and helpful. From the restaurant staff to cleaners etc, we had lots of friendly interactions which added to how much we enjoyed our holiday. The food at the restaurant was great, lots of famous thai dishes and curries that both looked and tasted amazing. The same goes for the cocktails, if you go I would recommend the "Banana Milky" cocktail. It's perfect for the 30 degrees plus weather we had every day. Above all this, you can get everything ordered to your villa if you want to chill out. As for location it is a bit out of the way, however there are local restaurants within walking distance and the big buddha, old town, and patong beach are only around 15-30 minutes away in a taxi. I would definitely come back here if I'm ever back in Thailand. Read less

We had to cancel our booking as my husband had emergency surgery. Our booking was from March 9-20, 2022, and I notified the hotel on February 19, 2022, of our unfortunate need to cancel. I requested a refund as they offered credit and were told they would refund my credit card, but there would be a 5 percent fee. After not receiving my refund by March 24, I reached out to them and was told that my credit card had been refunded on March 8, and the money came out of their account. I explained that there was no refund ever made to my credit card. I never did receive a reply and have sent several emails to them asking for them to reach out to my credit card company to find out where the refund was made if they had made it. As of today, April 6, still no refund and no reply to any emails since they said they replied on March 24 saying that they had refunded me. Before I booked this hotel, initially, I read all the reviews, and I felt that this was a good choice and their customer service was good; I was wrong. I will post another review if there is no refund within the next week. Read less

Negatives-impact of covid meaning hotel was very quite meaning that even with happy hour the bar was empty. Needs a tidy up again no income for 18 months so I can understand that. We were unable to sit on our balcony due to the mosquitoes. I had to just go outside for five seconds and I was bitten so we stayed in our room enjoying the view from inside after a relaxing day out or a day around the lovely pool before going out again. I was glad I didn’t take a pool villa as I’m sure we would’ve been bitten all the time. We went half board which gave us flexibility of either having lunch or dinner in the hotel. Rawai town was very quite so we didn’t see the point in taking a taxi there to sit in a quiet restaurant: Trips to Naka market on Saturdays and Sundays was well worth the effort with street food live music and usual market stalls.
