Riverside Hotel

Fort Lauderdale, Gold Coast Beaches

Virgin rating

The hotel

Full of Old Florida charm, the Spanish tile floors and and overhead fans means that this classic hotel fits in well within the Cuban feel of Las Olas Boulevard. The road is the forefront of everything from restaurants to fashion boutiques, art galleries to bars - so it's a great alternative to the oceanfront hotels of Fort Lauderdale, and the beach is still only a 10 minute drive away! There's a wide variety of dining options available within the hotel too - with Wild Sea featuring an impressive raw bar and a creative seafood menu, all of which can be enjoyed whilst watching the yachts sail down the river. The Golden Lyon Pub and Preston's Wine and Martini Lounge both offer happy hours for a pre-dinner tipple too. If you're not planning to spend much time in your room, the Micro room offers value for money, but upgrading will give you more space to relax in for families.

Perfect location, helpful and friendly staff, fabulous restaurant and pool near the river. I would stay here again. A minor complaint would be that the room had a slightly musty/moldy smell, and that the micro room bathroom doesn’t have much space for toiletries. A minor complaint would be that the room had a slightly musty/moldy smell, and that the micro room bathroom doesn’t have much space for toiletries. I was surprised how spacious the “micro room” (338) was. It had plenty of space for our small and medium sized suitcases, and a walk-in closet with a safe, fridge and ironing board. I enjoyed staying at a hotel with some character that isn’t part of the big chains. Read less

We so enjoyed our stay at the Riverside. My husband is disabled and the staff was especially caring and helpful . Garfield went out of his way to assist us loading and unloading the wheelchair. I recently stayed at the Riverside for 3 nights in a King Junior Suite, city view w/balcony. (1104) The room was located in the tower. I never expected to be able to see the canal that runs along the property. It was the best of both worlds with a beautiful city view, as well as being able to see the parade of yachts and the water taxis pass by.… Read more

I never expected to be able to see the canal that runs along the property. It was the best of both worlds with a beautiful city view, as well as being able to see the parade of yachts and the water taxis pass by. The location of this hotel is perfect. There's a water taxi stop, many eateries and shopping all along Las Olas. It's a very walkable, charming area. The rooms are a little dated, but very clean. The housekeeping staff did a great job and were very friendly, as were any hotel staff I encountered. Will definitely return. Read less
