My husband and I stayed here for a night on our way back to Orlando from Key West. First issue was with our luggage. The parking attendant very clearly said to give the ticket he gave us to the receptionist so she would know where our luggage should go. She insisted time and again that this wasn’t necessary, and they would know where to direct it. She refused to take the ticket. So we just had to go to the room and hope for the best. The room was very nice with a well stocked bar, although why on earth anyone would want to pay those prices I have no idea. As we have found out on our many travels, often style gets in the way of practicality. The bathroom had a huge mirror but the only lighting was what can only be described as mood lighting. So nowhere to do hair or apply makeup. Back to the luggage. Inevitably my husband had to go looking for it and found an attendant with it on a trolley trying to find out where it belonged. We went out for dinner then decided to head back for a night cap at the bar. Alas this wasn’t to be. It was bouncing with dance music and you couldn’t hear yourself think. It would be nice if a hotel this size had more than one bar to cater for all guests. Although while we looked through the hotel it was apparent that their target audience was much more for young affluent clientele than retirees like ourselves. We had breakfast there the next morning which when it arrived was just ok. The only way I could describe this hotel was chaotic. Was glad to check out and won’t visit a W again. Read less

There were several issues I had with my stay starting at the very beginning. The welcome experience was severely lacking. The Welcome Desk talent that checked me in did not confirm and reservation details and had a couldn’t be bothered attitude. She did not confirm any reservation details and barely spoke while processing the check in. I arrived at the hotel around 11:30am and was told the room wasn’t ready which is understandable. I walked away and not 3 mins had passed when I got a call from the hotel says my room was ready. That to me shows that the welcome desk talent didn’t even want to check to see if rooms were available. When I arrived back I was simply handed my keys and sent off. Once I arrived to my room I was greeted by a horrible smell of mold/humidity. I also noticed that the sheets had small red and yellow stains and were ripped. As I left to have lunch I asked the Stylist in the hallway if the room could be sprayed with some sort of deodorizer and she said yes but I doubt it ever was since it smelled just as bad when I got back later. The room was also missing shampoo and only had shower gel. I did have to call and request shampoo and conditioner. When the sheets were changed on the 2nd day there was an even bigger tear in the new sheets. Not something I would expect from a W Hotel. I reported the issues on the Bonvoy App when I was prompted how my stay was going and they sent someone to replace the sheets. While appreciated I don’t believe that it should’ve happened twice with different sheets. I used my Marriott Bonvoy points and 130,000 points later I feel that this property is certainly not worth it. The only reason I didn’t give a 1 star review was because the WET bartender Katie and other talent I encountered throughout the property were friendly and attentive. I have included pictures of the sheets Read less

A Vibey busy hotel with great beach access. Large pool areas with loud music and good views. Rooms were modern and comfortable with lovely open plan bathrooms. I stayed in two bedroom suite with kitchen which was great. Reception was a bit slow and service generally could have been better.
