Ok, so the property is located in the heart of Flagler which makes it one of the best properties around. There is a Springhill Suites on the beach, at a heftier price, and other old fashioned hotels nearby that are begging you to stay at less than half the price but they do not provide the same level of privacy and security that Hampton Inn provides. I have not gone into those hotels so I can not compare interiors. for me it boils down to location, privacy and security because I usually have a few teens in tow. This time, Hampton Inn was my choice due to price, had the Springhill Suites been comparable I would most likely have chosen there based on oceanfront location. Hampton Inn parking, as others have stated, is tight and for the additional cost of $10 a night I would hope everyone could be accommodated with at least one space. Hotel lobby is clean and fresh with a comfortable adjoining space to enjoy the free continental breakfast. We did eat there one morning, bagels and juice. There was also fresh fruit, cereal, ready-to-make waffles, pastries, eggs and hash browns available. The room smelled a bit upon entering, I thought I detected a urine smell but others thought it was more like a cleaning agent smell. It did not linger. We did notice the carpet had not been vacuumed well (if at all) as there was a food snack on the floor near the dresser that had gone undetected. Otherwise, everything appeared to be clean and well appointed. Linens were not cotton, a pet peeve of mine, but did not show wear. Ample towels in the bathroom but like a lot of hotels they are sized for kids not adults. Beds were comfortable and seemed updated. No problems with A/C or noise as others have complained. Overall we enjoyed our short time here and are likely to return if pricing is more competitive than others of equal quality. All service employees were pleasant and accommodating. However for a Hampton Inn it was average, I was not recognized as an HHM upon check-in and did not receive any HHM benefits that I know of. The biggest gripe I have with all hotels is that many of them do not ever acknowledge the status of members or look for upgrades or additional benefits to offer members....so why bother joining? Were referred to this hotel by airline, not sure what to expect. When we arrived were treated so well made plans to come back in next 2 months. Wonderful staff, front desk workers were knowledgeable of area and very helpful.

The hotel was close to Flagler Avenue and I chose it to avoid drinking and driving. My issue is $189.00 on a Sunday (not holiday weekend either) and it seemed there were many rooms available. Once in the room it was very small and it took forever for the AC to get cold. The staff were very friendly from check-in to check out.

The location and design of the hotel made us feel like we were at an exclusive hotel. The walking distance to the beach was great for the family and the surrounding businesses are very accessible. We enjoyed the overall experience and the staff was very helpful.

The Hampton Inn looks like an old Florida summer house. Rooms are clean, beds comfy and sheets nice and crisp. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They have this parking gate, that never worked when we were there. We had to buzz for somone inside to raise the gate. Would stay again. Read less
