Virgin rating

The hotel

There are so many fantastic beaches to explore in Florida, and Palm Beach is one you should be sure not to miss, particularly with such a great hotel available as a convenient base to explore. Once you’ve dropped your bags and checked in to the comfortable guest rooms, you’re just a stones throw away from Rosemary Square, home to West Palm Beach’s best shopping and dining. It won’t take you long to wander to the beaches either, lined with boutiques and galleries to browse before you dip your toes in the sand. When you return, why not freshen up with a dip in the outdoor pool, or grab a seat at Bistro Ten Zero One for a relaxing drink and a bite to eat.

I stayed here few nights when visiting the area. The property was packed with families during our stay so I figured it was family friendly. Good use a bit of renovations. Staff was friendly. Not too far from the mall and close to the freeway.

I have stayed here twice for business in the last 2 months since it is high season in Florida and my preferred Marriott location is either sold out or too expensive. I will say that this last stay will be my last at this location. The rooms are completely out of date and need a renovation. I was put in a room next to the elevators and that is all I heard day and night. The previous time I was in a room that had connecting doors and I felt as if the person in the other room was in my room. The doors to the hallway don't have a tight seal, light comes in from all angles. I do like that there is a lounge at this location and I have had a decent breakfast each morning along with a fully stocked beverage fridge and great coffee. However the location of this hotel is not ideal either. You have to cross the train tracks and a very busy intersection to get to all the shops/restaurants/convention center. I did find the hotel staff to be friendly except for one front desk team member. This last trip I was checked out of my room twice by "someone else" . This made me have to go down to the desk multiple times to get new keys. As I did this, the one individual argued with me twice about my check out. One instance where someone else that wasn't my name checked out of my room. And the other instance when I was actually checking out on my correct date, argued with me that I was checking out the next day. Read less

Stay far away from this hotel. The lobby area was renovated but the rooms have not been renovated and have mold in the bathrooms, old carpet, uncomfortable itchy beds and disgusting pool area with dirt on the bottom of hot tub and pool. If you have an issue, don’t expect any help from the managers - and if you complain to Marriott, they will blow you off. I gave management and Marriott every single opportunity to make us whole after our terrible experiences before writing this review. The managers here and Marriott do not care whatsoever whatever you suffer through here from the endless aspects of filth and nastiness. There is no complimentary bottle of water, no microwave, nothing - just musty old moldy rooms. This hotel is apparently known for just being a hotel for people who missed flights or are forced to stay for business - however - be aware that no matter the reason you feel you have to stay here, you will 100% regret it. Stay FAR away and stay at a Hilton or anywhere else and know that the pictures of the rooms on their site for this hotel and highly photo shopped and edited. Oh - and be ready to be charged (without disclosure) for almost $20 parking per day and $20 WiFi whether you asked for it or not. Read less

Watch out for your credit card bill. The hotel overcharged me over $2,000 for a 3-night stay. Days later the hotel staff still hasn't fixed their errors. In fact their attempts at fixing it have only adversely affected my credit even more. The General Manager has been no help. The hotel seems extremely short staffed and sloppy errors abound. Place is a dump for $400. Carpets frayed, walls dirty. No pictures on walls Not enough pillows. Mobile checking didn’t work. Paid $14 for parking in an open lot with gate left up and 5 cars. Not a good start. Would not stay here ever again. Far from what you’d expect from Marriott.
