Overall our stay was very pleasant. The room was nice with a full kitchen. The AC was a bit noisy. Large TV in the room. Great view of the Gulf. Sizable fitness center. Didn't like that you couldn't use the stairs to get to different floors. Staff could have generally been friendlier. Like the complimentary champagne at check in!

Great Value and price. The property was in a good location for walking to most attractions. Super easy access and proximity to beach. Excellent room space for family sharing. Staff was super friendly. Service was fast. Not crazy about bed, woke up sore.

1. The room isn’t bad, however, I was jolted out of bed early this morning by loud noises and then a jackhammer. There was no mention of this until I got to the hotel and asked about the pool bar. 2. The front desk people, Brook especially, were less than helpful and rather rude, disinterested, and preoccupied. It was if I was a different species of customer because I booked my stay with Cheap Hotels. 3. The elevator got stuck on the 15th floor, a recording stated the elevator was malfunctioning, which scared the hell out of me, so I punched the “open door” button for what seemed a lifetime and finally the door opened. I decided not to use any elevator on that wing and to walk the flight of stairs up to the 16th floor, not knowing that the doors would lock behind me and that all the doors are locked, so after discovering the 16th floor was locked, I was stuck outside, so I had to walk 16 floors down. Some of the floors aren’t marked, there is no notification stating that a guest will be locked out, no emergency posts, etc. 4. There are no phones and no way to contact the hotel people to alert them that I was stuck outside - 16 stories up. The only choice I had was to walk down 16 floors. It was rather creepy walking down the stairs because they aren’t well lit, they are concrete and the steps are slippery, and it felt eerily like I was in a serial killer movie. As I descended I kept expecting Freddy to jump out and stick me. When I expressed concern to Brook and the gentlemen that an elderly person might panic or have physical problems descending 16 flights of stairs, all they did was give me excuses as to why there are no emergency procedures or options for this type of situation. Once again, no empathy or sympathy that I had to walk down 16 stories in my flip-flops. Even though I am in reasonably good shape, my knees ached all night and are still aching. I would assume my trip will be less than enjoyable if my knees ache the entire time we are here. 5. A nice man called - after I told Brook that if she really was a manager that she should have by now developed a little better sense of empathy, sympathy, and concern - he apologized - which Brook nor the other front desk clerk did - and offered to give me $30 hotel credit - I declined. 6. However, the night wasn’t completely a disaster because I went next door to the Wyndham and had a great dinner. The wait staff and food was par excellence. After eating there and walking around their hotel, I now wish I had booked their hotel. I can recommend it even though I can’t this one. Read less

We have stayed at this property a few times and it is a terrific location. I love that you have easy beach access and can walk either direction out of the front of hotel and get to restaurants, bars, shops. We enjoy staying at Hyatt hotels and would recommend checking out this one in Clearwater Beach.

Mold on the shower head and the shower drain is out of order. Waiting for GM to reply (just reached out so stay tuned for updates) but so far great location (stayed at Hilton down the road previously).
