The Plymouth Miami Beach

Miami Beach, Miami

Virgin rating

The hotel

Take yourself just one or two blocks away from the hustle and bustle of South Beach, and you'll stumble across this hidden gem! You're still right in the heart of everything Miami has to offer - restaurants, bars and shops galore - but when you're chilling with a cocktail by the Art Deco style pool here, you'll feel completely chilled at the same time. If you're more of a beach person than the pool, hop aboard the The Plymobile and they'll take you straight to the beach hut where you can grab some towels and a lounge chair, and soak up the rays from the sand. It's not all rest though - try out a bit of kayaking or paddle boarding, or simply enjoy a good old game of connect 4 with your pals. You've surely heard of the famous Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill in New York - well now you can get your sashimi fix right here in Miami, and right here at this hotel! The high ceilings of the rooms give an airy, spacious feel. If you're travelling as a couple, we'd recommend the One Bedroom Terrace Suite so you enjoy a romantic soak in the bath tub, right in your own bedroom!

Upon first appearance this hotel is so stylish, however, it does feel style over comfort. We were in a suite which consisted of a living rooms with pull out sofa bed, toilet and sink plus large bed (in small room making it difficult to navigate round - bruises on leg to prove!) with a beautiful en suite (with the lowest water pressure on a rainfall shower I’ve ever had!) Pull out bed was dreadful. Every spring to be felt, 1 pillow given between 2 people. Even when the sofa was made as a sofa it was not in keeping with the decor of the room and looked tired and shabby. 2 coffee pods complimentary then $2 dollars each - not sure if this was per day or per stay as didn’t specify. We actually checked out of this hotel a day early, due to flights being cancelled and rearranged for earlier but this was actually a relief as my children would have another bad night on the sofa bed. Oh, and $45 per day to use the pool - not really worth it. If I was going back to Miami I would not choose to stay here. Read less

This is a great hotel that is located well. It’s close to the beach, 20 min walk to ocean drive and 10 mins from Lincoln street. The rooms are decorated well and the beds extremely comfortable. The staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts is in a separate building but very good value for money. Overall a great hotel that I… Read more

A budget friendlier hotel that feels like a more expensive place! A gorgeous art deco boutique hotel with amazingly comfortable beds, a nice pool area, great showers, and great service. I am rating this 5 stars based on value-for-money. I have stayed at far more expensive or bougie hotels that don’t manage to create the atmosphere of service and uniqueness that is found at the Plymouth. We are four middle aged women staying in two rooms and everything here was absolutely a delight. Read less

Your car will get towed!! I wish I could give this hotel a higher rating because the location is good, and it’s a charming place. But upon arrival the valet did not ask if we were going to valet, didn’t offer to take the keys. They took our bags and let us leave the car in a no parking zone and our car got towed. There was no attempt to find the owner of the car. They watched the towing company take the car. The same guys that took our bags. We witnessed the same thing happen to other guests, which can lead you to believe they have some sort of scam going. I reached out to the hotel via email, and NO ONE has gotten back to me. Read less
