The Plymouth Miami Beach

Miami Beach, Miami

Virgin rating

The hotel

Take yourself just one or two blocks away from the hustle and bustle of South Beach, and you'll stumble across this hidden gem! You're still right in the heart of everything Miami has to offer - restaurants, bars and shops galore - but when you're chilling with a cocktail by the Art Deco style pool here, you'll feel completely chilled at the same time. If you're more of a beach person than the pool, hop aboard the The Plymobile and they'll take you straight to the beach hut where you can grab some towels and a lounge chair, and soak up the rays from the sand. It's not all rest though - try out a bit of kayaking or paddle boarding, or simply enjoy a good old game of connect 4 with your pals. You've surely heard of the famous Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill in New York - well now you can get your sashimi fix right here in Miami, and right here at this hotel! The high ceilings of the rooms give an airy, spacious feel. If you're travelling as a couple, we'd recommend the One Bedroom Terrace Suite so you enjoy a romantic soak in the bath tub, right in your own bedroom!

Great experience!! Friendly staff, and the best sushi and drinks we have ever had!! The bartenders are great. Within walking distance to beach, and they will take you down in a golf cart. The beach staff was very nice and jumped right in and had us set up in our chairs and umbrella. Great experience

Upon arrival, the hotel lobby was a vibe. Cute, plenty of people, music, drinks, amazing decor. Hard to find a receptionist and there’s a slight smell of mildew/dampness/mold underlying the lobby. The pool is a great little spot to hang out(a little dirty in corners) and their private beach is a couple blocks away which includes two beach chairs but if you want an umbrella, expect to pay $22. Additionally the chairs are removed at 6pm just as the beach is cool enough to hang out on. Oh and the golf cart that takes you to the beach, stops operating at 3 but it’s an easy walk so no bother. Rooms were great although the receptionist couldn’t find which room we pre-paid for and requested on our reservation. She almost put us in their neighboring, lesser quality tower until I was able to find proof of a pool view room payment. 2 times within the 3 nights of our stay, the lobby restroom flooded into the main bar and elevator area, causing human feces and urine to pollute the main walkway/ lounge area. Sooo that wasn’t great. The receptionists were sweet young girls, but often didn’t have the info we needed and weren’t easy to find. One offered to send a bottle of wine to our room as a gesture of thanks for our good attitude during the flooding, we accepted but never received it. This hotel has a ton of potential but I think either the owners or managers aren’t paying close enough attention to experiential quality. So many things seem to fall through the cracks. Sushi restaurant offers a great happy hour menu at the bar which was a perfect snack to hold us over til dinner. And good restaurants and shopping are about a 20 min walk away. Read less

Guno and the rest of the team were great and super helpful. They were fast and very friendly. Would definitely recommend the towel and umbrella services as it was comfortable and convenient and a good break from the heat. Beautiful view of the water.

Nice little hotel in a half decent location. Close to the beach, a shop and coffee shop (Joe & Juice). A short walk or bike ride to ocean beach strip. Pool view room was a nice size. Probably got the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept on. Bar has a good variety of drinks to choose. All the staff are nice, helpful and polite.

I love the SBH hotel and Jefferson was delightful on the beach! The whole staff was great and they make a great team. Top tier customer service. See you soon! I frequent Miami and this is always my go to experience because it never fails me. And it’s super close to the beach
