Esme Miami Beach

South Beach, Miami

Virgin rating

The hotel

Bringing an edgy yet sexy Espanola vibe to South Beach, Esme is a hotel come “village” that offers a fun and sophisticated place to stay to enjoy the best of Miami. There’s no doubt that the rooftop deck is the place to be here. Chill at the pool by day, whether it’s in the water or on the very ‘instagrammable’ day beds. As the day draws to a close, enjoy a sundowner from The Roof Bar and soak up the music. Live DJ sessions carry on into the night on Friday’s and Saturdays so you can celebrate the weekend in style. There’s plenty of other bars and restaurants to enjoy at Esme, make sure you book a reservation at the hidden Sushi Bar with only 12 prized seats so you can devour nigiri to your hearts content. As you walk through the buildings of the hotel you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into Spain with the plant lined terraces and deep red tones, and then that glorious sunshine will hit you as you leave the lobby – where you’re just 4 minutes’ stroll from Ocean Drive and the beach itself. If you carry on down past the Versace Mansion (which we’d recommend booking into for lunch!) to the Art Deco Gift Shop, you can join a tour of the Art Deco district. Or make use of the complimentary bicycle rental from the hotel to explore Miami Beach at your own agenda. If it’s more down time you’re looking for, the hotel offers a beach service with towels and chairs too.

My friend and I had just stayed here recently for one night. We were in town for a convention that was going on. And we had done our research ahead of time and we found this place. We were very intrigued by the hotel and thought it was quite nice. The staff was friendly and welcoming. While we were attending our event, we wanted to keep our bags with the staff, and they were very accommodating. We noticed that they had valet parking, but we decided that we wanted to use the 24-hour parking which was not that far from the hotel. the distance to our event and the hotel was not bad at all. The room itself was very nice and clean, we did notice that the bed was a bit small then how it was shown in the pictures online. However, the room had everything that we needed and was very accommodating. We had breakfast that was included in our reservation, and may I just say it was the best breakfast we have ever had. I would definitely come back here great staff and great atmosphere. Read less

A great stay. The location is awesome and close to everything. We weren't aware of the free bikes, beach chairs, etc. that were offered. Staff was amazing and super helpful Be aware. This hotel is much different than your standard chain hotel. The rooms are small and spread across multiple buildings. Having said that, we loved to cool, retro… Read more

1st the hotel is cute. Lots of areas around there to go to, walk to. Nice rooftop pool, bar. Desk staff was very nice. The coffee makers in the rooms don’t work. Rooms are really small, which we knew. Our biggest complaint, same as I read on another review, they tack on $40 a day for amenity fee. I had heard this. I have an email from the hotel… Read more

Rooms are really small, which we knew. Our biggest complaint, same as I read on another review, they tack on $40 a day for amenity fee. I had heard this. I have an email from the hotel staff assuring me the fee was included in the rate I booked. When I checked out, the price was more. They have you sign at check in. Then say you approved and signed. Add the $$ amount in everything you sign. They are a bit deceptive with this practice. Even though my email says it’s included in the rate, they would not refund the extra fee. Read less

Super cute boutique hotel in the heart of Española. We loved being within walking distance of all the restaurants! Having beach access was fantastic and we loved that it included chairs and towels. Our room was actually the one shown in the picture on this listing! It is super tiny but who needs space when you’re in Miami! The rooftop pool is… Read more

Our room was actually the one shown in the picture on this listing! It is super tiny but who needs space when you’re in Miami! The rooftop pool is small but adequate and the property is clean and well kept. Wouldn’t stay for a long period of time but perfect for a short stay and you certainly cannot beat the price! Read less

Sun, shaded areas and a great pool- with food and drinks. The room was a King. Very comfortable with a large and well stocked bathroom. Robes, and plenty of towels. The alleys are plant covered and looked like you were in Spain. Great eating in a charming area that is a street adjacent to the hotel. Will stay here again! Read less
