Esme Miami Beach

South Beach, Miami

Virgin rating

The hotel

Bringing an edgy yet sexy Espanola vibe to South Beach, Esme is a hotel come “village” that offers a fun and sophisticated place to stay to enjoy the best of Miami. There’s no doubt that the rooftop deck is the place to be here. Chill at the pool by day, whether it’s in the water or on the very ‘instagrammable’ day beds. As the day draws to a close, enjoy a sundowner from The Roof Bar and soak up the music. Live DJ sessions carry on into the night on Friday’s and Saturdays so you can celebrate the weekend in style. There’s plenty of other bars and restaurants to enjoy at Esme, make sure you book a reservation at the hidden Sushi Bar with only 12 prized seats so you can devour nigiri to your hearts content. As you walk through the buildings of the hotel you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into Spain with the plant lined terraces and deep red tones, and then that glorious sunshine will hit you as you leave the lobby – where you’re just 4 minutes’ stroll from Ocean Drive and the beach itself. If you carry on down past the Versace Mansion (which we’d recommend booking into for lunch!) to the Art Deco Gift Shop, you can join a tour of the Art Deco district. Or make use of the complimentary bicycle rental from the hotel to explore Miami Beach at your own agenda. If it’s more down time you’re looking for, the hotel offers a beach service with towels and chairs too.

Super cute boutique hotel in the heart of Española. We loved being within walking distance of all the restaurants! Having beach access was fantastic and we loved that it included chairs and towels. Our room was actually the one shown in the picture on this listing! It is super tiny but who needs space when you’re in Miami! The rooftop pool is… Read more

Our room was actually the one shown in the picture on this listing! It is super tiny but who needs space when you’re in Miami! The rooftop pool is small but adequate and the property is clean and well kept. Wouldn’t stay for a long period of time but perfect for a short stay and you certainly cannot beat the price! Read less

What a find! This beautiful hotel is so cool! Tony at the front desk was charming. We arrived early and he arranged for our bags to be secured while we visited the rooftop pool. Sun, shaded areas and a great pool- with food and drinks. The room was a King. Very comfortable with a large and well stocked bathroom. Robes, and plenty of towels. The… Read more

The alleys are plant covered and looked like you were in Spain. Great eating in a charming area that is a street adjacent to the hotel. Will stay here again! Read less

We booked an 'Accessible Superior King' with booking.com, which was described as a 23 square meters room and with matching photos. What we got (room 229) was tiny, with hardly any space to move around the bed, with nowhere to store anything and with a small wardrobe, already full with a fridge, a safe, towels and whatever else. What we got (room 229) was tiny, with hardly any space to move around the bed, with nowhere to store anything and with a small wardrobe, already full with a fridge, a safe, towels and whatever else. And all this facing a wall. A nightmare. We went down to reception to ask for a different room. Mr. Tonee Dang, who was in charge, offered us an upgrade of over 400 USD into the Louise Suite with a balcony around the corner of Washington Avenue and Española Way. Just to get out of the previous mousehole we accepted a final price of over USD 720 for the suite. All was fine here, although the suite was not very big, but it was exposed to one of the noisiest corners of Miami Beach, so we had to use ear plugs. Staying for just one night we didn't have any breakfast here, so we can't say anything about that, nor did we have time to use any other facilities. Read less
