The main comment I have about the Hilton Garden Inn South Beach was that their service was absolutely outstanding in everyway. The concierge, Caroline, could not have been more helpful, kinder and generally nicer than most other concierges in other hotels I've stayed. My room was comfortable and very clean. The concierge, Caroline, could not have been more helpful, kinder and generally nicer than most other concierges in other hotels I've stayed. My room was comfortable and very clean. The mattress and pillows were excellent very comfortable. The bathroom is very up to had plenty of towels and the water pressure was strong and proper temperature. The breakfast Was adequate. Terrible customer service and poor overall experience. Way below Hilton standards and as a Diamond we have stayed at many different Hilton properties. Parking is at a hotel next door and you have to schlepp your own baggage down the street on the sidewalk and then haul them up a flight of stairs to get to the lobby. Terrible customer service and poor overall experience. Way below Hilton standards and as a Diamond we have stayed at many different Hilton properties. Parking is at a hotel next door and you have to schlepp your own baggage down the street on the sidewalk and then haul them up a flight of stairs to get to the lobby. Once in, the rooms are absolutely tiny (we were in a "Penthouse" lol). The Breakfast was terrble. cold and expensive. THEY double billed our breakfast (we receive daily credit for breakfast at all hilton properties). No apologies. And even though it was a weak buffet, they charged us a mandatory $6.56 service charge on top of the double charge for a self serve breakfast they would not refund. 100% would not recommend. After seeing our room it had very little space, mould in the shower, dirty shower head, a see through bottom window so the apartments opposite could see in and stains on the wall. During our time at the hotel our room was cleaned 2 and a half times, I say half as this time they only emptied the bin, helped themselves to some gum left in our room… Read more
After seeing our room it had very little space, mould in the shower, dirty shower head, a see through bottom window so the apartments opposite could see in and stains on the wall. During our time at the hotel our room was cleaned 2 and a half times, I say half as this time they only emptied the bin, helped themselves to some gum left in our room and put the wrapper in the toilet, and changed two towels. During our 10 days at the hotel our bedding was never changed, floor never hoovered and room barely even cleaned or attempted to clean. We even ran out of toilet roll as it hadn't been changed, hair was left on the floor after being 'cleaned' which was neither of ours as it was a different colour to both mine and my partners. The 'breakfast' was awful. The first day we went to breakfast it was a very small buffet, and no one was around to take our order for the first 10 minutes. There weren't even any instructions of how breakfast worked, eventually a staff member came to take our order and what came out was very disappointing. A small portion of French toast ( a slice of bread) and a small supposedly three egg omelette. However trying to not let this ruin our holiday even more we decided to try the breakfast the next day, and that left us even more upset. The staff member took our order and then sat on his phone for the next 20 minutes ( not even relaying the order to the kitchen) the chef even came out from the kitchen to get coffee from the buffet and stood on his phone.After waiting and being made very aware our order wasn't coming we eventually asked again for our order. The waiter's attitude stunk and we were made to feel bad about interrupting his phone time to chase up our food. Eventually solid rocks of pancakes and a omelette made of one egg came out. The waiter then disappeared into the kitchen so we couldn't even complain about our food. After this awful experience we didn't even bother going for breakfast anymore as the staff etearly didn't want to be there and we felt like we were bothering of them. We would have complained but staff were too busy gossiping when even checking in guests! There was also only one lift working however the 'broken' one was right by our room and we often heard and saw it being used by staff... Read less

The hotel was in an excellent location, which is about the only positive attribute it had. Parking nearby was not possible; the elevator didn't seem to function very well; the breakfast area in the windowless basement was depressing; and hauling luggage up the steps to the lobby was challenging.

Not a Hilton Quality Hotel... honestly speaking I expected more, I know other Garden Inn Hotels on other cities, and their quality is superior. Seems old and a little dirty. The personnel on the counter and restaurants were ok.
