I couldn’t possibly recommend to stay here. Main issues -Bizarre hotel layout, had to drag bags through bar courtyard and into ice cream shop to get to room. -Noise, most of the hotel rooms are horrifically noisy from the club downstairs. The staff know this. My room literally shook from the bass. -Customer Service is very poor. The air conditioning broke our last night from 6pm. It was 80 degrees in the room. The staff did nothing to notify guests it would not be fixed, offered nothing in return, were rude when informed it wasn’t working. ‘Yeah we know it’s a hotel wide issue’. There was no way we should’ve been charged for that night stay given it was so disgusting in all of the rooms. The hotel refunded the taxes and fees but wouldn’t refund the night. -Taxes and resort fees on top Resort fees are ridiculous for this hotel when most of the amenities weren’t even available when I was there. The hotel pool was closed the entire first day, I asked multiple times would it be open ‘yes’. Eventually conceded no. Did nothing to tell me this on check in and multiple questions. Hotel breakfast is not on site but 500 metres down the road, the first 2 mornings I did not need tokens for this and the third we did, the hotel never told us this and my parents had to walk in the heat down only to be told to return for a ticket. The hotel did nothing to tell us this. The staff were just not friendly, barring one manager who was eventually helpful in cancelling my return trip (I did not want my parents to have to stay in that hotel again). Location is great for south beach, but there are better hotels. I would never stay here again and am confused as to how it has gotten 4/5 on Tripadvisor overall. Read less

We stayed for 2 nights and the location is great, you are right in the center of things and although our room was to the front, we didn't hear much from all the activity below. The room was very basic and looked nothing resembling the photos above. Good bathroom and shower though. We did have a big corner room which was nice as we were doing a lot of travelling and so had a lot of luggage. The was a smell of weed on the corridors for the entire 2 days. The tiny pool area was dirty and so was the pool, however the beach is just yards away so why bother. Breakfast was awful, very basic and left sitting for hours, i didn't bother on day two but my husband said it was no better. Overall the room was clean, the location was great but for what we paid, it just wasn't worth it Read less

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights & received the best service ever!! It was a bit of pain to get to, but the room was quite nice, large & clean. I had read on a previous review that the rooms at or near the front of the hotel were loud, so I brought some ear plugs & I slept great!! Every time we needed anything, we made a call to the front desk & someone was at our door within minutes...I would definitely stay again!! Read less

We stayed at breakwater for 5 night. Everything was very nice, from the girls from receptions, and here I want to thanks Alex, she was very helpful and kind. Also Lili was a great helper for us! The hotel was very well maintained, despite the fact that our room was on the Main Street, we didn’t hear any noise. The only inconvenience was the fact that breakfast wasn’t on the hotel, every morning we had to take a walk to another restaurant from another hotel. But…morning walks are a pleasure…I think! 🤭 We enjoyed staying here and we will return, for sure.👍 Read less

Place was okay, room was clean, but lobby was rundown. Showers are nice and the workers are nice. Surrounding area is cool too
