We stayed only ONE night; wish it could have been more. Steps to the southernmost point of South Beach where you can see the cruise ships enter and leave the port. Like all low rise hotels, they have a certain charm you'll never experience in the chrome plated hi-rise hotels. Quaint, and no crowded noisy lobby... I mean, if I wanted THAT, I'd… Read more

Like all low rise hotels, they have a certain charm you'll never experience in the chrome plated hi-rise hotels. Quaint, and no crowded noisy lobby... I mean, if I wanted THAT, I'd stay in downtown Miami or NYC. This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a less busy part of Ocean Drive (between 5th and 4th) and less traffic means a lot less noise. Also, the weekend Concierge is superb, friendly and extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to return very soon. Keep up the good work! This was even better than last time (2019) Only one downside; the coffee shop doesn't open until 8AM (I'm up well before that!) But even with that one minor thing, this is still a hidden gem Read less

We stayed on the top floor and the first night was ok to just get your head down for the night. Even though the walls must be so thin because it was so loud, you could hear everything outside. Everything looked very average and was clean in the room. The second night we were interrupted by a fire alarm around 8pm, which we made our way out the hotel and waited outside to be told nothing and after no staff came out to tell us it was ok, we heard the fire alarm turn off and everyone went back inside. Around 10pm then I heard scurrying in the ceiling really loud just like rats or mice. It was awful!!! After hearing it for 2 hours none stop till midnight, crying because it was so horrible to listen to, I had to check out and spend the night sleeping in the airport as luckily our flight was in the morning anyway. I would never ever go back to this hotel again, all just seemed an unorganised shambles and don’t want to be staying in a hotel with rodents! Read less

This hotel is awful avoid at all cost. It had a terrible mildew smell. My room was on the first floor right next to the reception and front door. The walls are paper thin so all you heard was people coming and going all hours of the night. People checking in and out early in the morning or playing music you couldn’t get any rest of you really tried. The bathroom and shower are so tiny you barely have any standing room. The bedding looked old and worn out. There was also a bug in the shower. I ended up checking out after one night and booking another hotel elsewhere. Just not worth the money they are charging at all. Book at your own risk!!! Read less

While location is ok-ish, we were VERY disappointed by our stay. Upon arrival I asked the person at the front desk if our room was noisy. "well, it is indeed" was his answer. He directed us to another building (!!!), ie. we were not able to stay in the main hotel. The other building reminded me my $10 stay in East Asia when backpacking as a… Read more

ZERO charm, you could here all conversations (and other noises...) from other room. NOT what you except at $288 per night. AVOID this place. Read less

We stayed one night in February prior to sailing and 2 nights at the end of our cruise. Andy could not do enough for Mr Douglas Ross's family (!!) and was an absolute star throughout helping us with room allocations, checkin, luggage storage and taxi cab booking. Our rooms were well equiped with shower stuff and hairdryer, TV, aircon etc. I would suggest cushioning the corners of the wooden bed frames as I did bang my leg a couple of times (that's not a critism, just a suggestion). The cafe attached serves a great selection of food and drinks 8am to 7 pm and our rooms were situated through the entrance. There's a pretty courtyard to the side too with cafe seating and our rooms overlooked. All the cafe staff are really helpful and add to the whole experience. Super near the beach and beach front restaurants and bars and Walgreens and CVS for essentials. Reasonable rates and altogether a great choice for us. Read less
