My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the spectacular Betsy Hotel again. What a visit! This time we introduced the Betsy to our daughter and future son-law, who now are as excited about the Betsy as we are. The mix of being a 3-minute walk from the beach combined with the interesting sights and restaurants of the city-like South Beach makes for a superb location. We were taken in again by the elegant yet comfortable décor, with special art and photographs on display throughout the boutique hotel and great jazz piano serenading us. We had several delicious meals at the LT Restaurant during our stay -- the first-rate food and upbeat atmosphere at the phenomenal hotel restaurant are always a treat. But the people are what makes the Betsy so special!! Bellmen Fritz and Juan were very helpful and made us feel at home every time we saw them with their warm smiles. Chris and Fritzner at the front desk were very accommodating with everything we needed. The concierge, Paul, had great suggestions again, including an Art Deco tour leaving from the hotel lobby which our daughter and son-in-law enjoyed and a less known French bistro, which was excellent. In the restaurant, Anna, Daniel, Joanny, Rene and Sebastian and several other staff members helped make our meals a treat. We highly recommend the Betsy and can’t wait until our next visit! Read less

The Betsy is so lovingly and intentionally designed and operated, it won my daughters and I over completely. Our 5 night stay could not have been better. The lobby always has joyful energy, and so often, great live music. The photos of the early years of the The Beatles and The Rolling Stones (and others) throughout are an experience in themselves. There is an air of serenity about the entire property, which the generous staff elevates with their kindness. We ate at the restaurant twice during our stay, and both times Franco was our waiter. He was so welcoming, unhurried, and happily shared his local knowledge. A true professional. Juan the bellman was amazingly friendly and helpful, and upon checkout Fritzner at the front desk, along with Fritz the bellman, were so sweet and kind when they saw how sad we were to leave! The Betsy is a testament to a family who runs their business with community awareness, giving back, and the goal of a top notch guest experience as the driving force for what they do. Our personal post script is that during WWII, my daughters' grandfather was posted at this hotel (The Betsy Ross) when the US Army took over local hotels to house troops during training, which made it extra special for us. Paul (a concierge) , is knowledgeable , can properly read his audience , provided relevant info and proved easy to speak with and quite helpful. And Evan, who helps at the door takes amazing initiative, can solve logistics in a timely, rational and quite helpful way. Read less
