My husband and I stayed in Miami for 3 nights at 3 different hotels. The Palms was the clear winner. We stayed there in the middle of our trip and should have never left. The staff were all professional, friendly, and accommodating. Our ocean front room had an incredible view, was very comfortable, and was stocked with all the necessities, plus some! We especially appreciated the green initiative that the hotel has adopted. The entire property (inside and out) was clean and well cared for and I like to think that the guests have a hand in that. There is signage in all the right places to remind you of how to take the steps to keep Miami looking beautiful. There is even a fun beach cleanup activity (fill a bucket, and they will give you a gelato). We will definitely be returning and next time with our 6 year old (it’s a great place for families too). Although located on Collins Avenue, there is very little in the direct vicinity but we enjoyed using the boardwalk into South Beach. Access to the fabulous beach is quick and very easy. The pool area is nice and we had no difficulty getting a subbed and receiving beach towels. In our view, overall the place lacked a little atmosphere, there is a nice bar area but didn't have the vibe to match its decor. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend an early start to watch the sunrise from the beach. Read less
