Lobby beautiful, staff nice- that’s where the positives end. Rooms esp bathrooms need updating, floors are filthy, need updated coffee makers, fridge not cold. The wood sliding bathroom door is bizarre. Room supplies that should be standard need to be requested. Parking with valet was convenient but pricey per day.

We had an excellent time here and this place is fabulous. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but Ms. Perez stood out in the restaurant. We found ourselves seeking her out every time we went to eat. I would recommend this place to anybody. It’s well worth uour hard earned money.

Perfect 10s across the board. Took a vacation to the Keys in May, staying 3 nights each at two resorts in Key West and one in Marathon. As an afterthought we added 3 nights in Miami Beach at The Palms, which turned out to be the highlight of the entire trip. The Palms: A great mid-beach location close enough to the action of South Beach but far enough removed to enjoy the quiet during the day. This is not a national branded mega resort where you’re a number, it’s a relatively small family owned resort that makes you feel like family. The resort itself gives a laid-back island plantation vibe. If you want boom-boom music at the pool this place is not for you. There’s a lobby bar and a restaurant serving meals all day. There’s a Tiki bar at the pool and an army of servers circling the pool and beach areas to take your food and drink orders right from your lounger. We never had a problem finding 2 loungers at the pool or the beach regardless of the time of day. The Staff: Every single person we interacted with at The Palms went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, from bellmen to front desk to restaurants and bars to pool and beach. There’s a 20% gratuity added to every food/drink purchase so you might expect the staff to mail-in the customer service. Not here. The service team at the pool is a perpetual motion machine, even in the 95-degree heat we experienced. This is a reflection of great training, accountability, and core values, which is a credit to The Palms. Shout-outs to the following people who helped make our stay exceptional: George (food & beverage service at the pool) Michele (food & beverage service at the beach) Jorge and Hermes (cabana and chair service at the pool) All the bartenders at the tiki (Andrew?). Vele (bartender at the Esensia Lounge lobby bar) Read less
