Overall great experience. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Kelly by the pool area who goes above and beyond. Shame about Isa in the reception area who is aloof and condescending. He needs training and development to reach customer care level of colleagues.

Here now and check out in a few days. Have been coming here yearly since 2017 every November and it continually has gone downhill. This property just doesn’t have the look, feel, or service worthy of the Ritz Carlton name. First, if you see my photos you’ll see ugly poorly maintained elevator signage that looks like it’s from a motel 6, curtains with unraveled hems and my patio furniture with stains all over it. That unacceptable at this price point. Additionally, when I checked in it took a really long time to find my room as it’s on level 2 which no one thought to tell me meant I would take an elevator up to 3, walk down another hall, take another elevator to level M and then walk some more in another wing. And the additional elevators look like service elevators. Not posh or luxe at all. It’s embarrassing really. They tell you here to always give them 10 minutes to pull your car around. Today I called at 9:48 am. I took my shower and came outside at 10:20. The valet acted like I was being difficult and told me to be patient. My car showed up at 10:30 — 42 minutes later! That’s just not right. I ended up being late for a meeting in Fort Lauderdale. When I checked in, I was told they would call me when my room was ready, and when they called they said to stop by the front desk to get my key: this was impossible to actually do as there were 11 tour people checking in and everyone was busy but no one was assigned to give our keys to guests already checked in. Just a mess. There is also drilling going on in the building where my room is starting early in the morning, but there’s no mention of construction on their site. No warning. Not cool. The plug-in in my bedside table doesn’t work and my phone has an annoying buzz making it hard to even hear anyone when you call. I’ve been to 87 countries and loved the Ritz in Dubai the most. This location? It’s no where near the level of others. They need serious training here. I do like having a room that opens right out to the pool. Read less

The hotel is beautiful, extremely clean, and everyone who works there had nothing but top-notch service to give. Starting with the guest relations manager Jenna… she was amazing! She made sure I had the best room and the best service, and even knew my name days later by the time I checked out. I ate at the restaurant a couple of times for breakfast and ordered room service a couple of times, and each time I was very pleased with my food. The close walk to the beach was also perfect. The staff who worked at the beach setting up chairs and taking food and drinks orders were always around and always ready to provide top-notch service. I truly felt like a special guest the whole weekend. Thank you to everyone at the Ritz Carlton for making my solo self-care retreat the absolute best. I’ll definitely be returning to your beautiful hotel! Read less

This was my first time at this hotel. I have stayed at several others in South Beach and if you’ve done the same, you know how harrowing it can be to get good service.
