This was a Tuesday and there were maybe 10 ppl total all night In the bar on the 4 th floor. There are cameras everywhere in the bar area, all hotels have them but no one could find the phone... I’m calling ........ on the staff that knew we had a two hour drive home to Vero beach. This was predatory in the time of COVID. If mariott management can’t have better protocols, then I don’t need mariott. I own a restaurant & I know there are cameras & bartenders phone numbers available. This is crap.... Read less

Very nice hotel, but has lost the WOW factor over the years. Slow and very expensive service at the private beach. Tired sunbeds and towels. We returned drinks that were no good! 17 USD plus tax for one bottle of Fiji water. Food was not very tasty. Worst part was no lid/cover on food trays when served. Leftovers were left out for hours before… Read more

This is located right on the beach but the view of the suite we had was mostly of the parking lot--by the way there is no self park, and charge a lot for overnight parking, the suite was spacious (2 bedroom, large living room, kitchen, and dining, 2 balconies, plus a laundry room) but seemed outdated and not as clean. I splurged on this room and found what I thought to be the nicest hotel in south beach. I did a lot of research on the exact room I wanted. Upon arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a different one, but when we got there I wished we had the one I planned for. We arrived exactly at check in time, but had to wait in the nearby lounge for over an hour for our room to be ready. Again, not even the one we wanted. Waiting with a 2 & 3 year old was terrible. No free food was comped or anything. We asked for a crib at check in and even before arriving. It wasn’t brought until around 10pm. The glass windows all around the suite were filthy. It completely ruined the feeling. They could’ve been easily cleaned and maintained but weren’t. We had the concierge order us a limo to take us to our yacht after check out and it was late. Then the driver kept WASTING OUR TIME. Taking us to the wrong places constantly. The good: I was feeling under the weather and our bell boy offered to go across the street and buy me cold medication. I used it my whole trip and it really helped. The brunch restaurant inside the lobby is really pleasant. Our room had a nice bathtub and three toilets. Read less

Last week, a few friends and I visited the W South Beach for vacation. This is my third straight year visiting the W South Beach during March and once again it was nothing short of spectacular. We are not only loyal guests of the W South beach but are also loyal Marriott Bonvoy Members and the manager, Rick Ueno upgraded us to the most amazing WOW suite. It was the most beautiful hotel room I have ever stayed in. I am a frequent traveler and have stayed in many upscale resorts and no room can even compare to the WOW suite. The suite had the most beautiful views and was 1900 square feet! Rick has been so fantastic over the past 3 years of me knowing and communicating with him when I come to the W. He has always made our trips special. Before arriving, a concierge Majd reached out to me asking what he could do to make our stay amazing. Throughout our stay he was constantly checking in with me to make sure everything was perfect (which it was!). We we arrived in our room, we had a bottle of champagne, chocolates and fruit. He also helped us get upgraded to the WOW suite. I have nothing but great things to say about the staff and management staff at the W. Everyone was (and always has been) so attentive and friendly. The service is fantastic. The pool is beautiful and the beach is just breath-taking. The pool and beach staff/waiters are always on their A game as well. I HIGHLY recommend this resort. I can't wait until our next stay. Read less
