Quick weekend getaway. Lots to do in walking distance from hotel. There is decent night life for just spending the weekend. The lobby is very nice and comfortable. Checking in was a bit time consuming. They spend too much time with each guest. The line was short.

I had my bachelorette party at Margaritaville resort, we rented cabanas and our team member Jacob was so attentive. He had to deal with a lot of us and still did such a great job. I would recommend traveling to margaritaville to anyone! We had a blast.

Jacob was absolutely fantastic and really ensured that all our needs were met for my best friends bachelorette event!! He was very tentative and accommodating. He was able to answer any question we had and was very enthusiastic the entire time!

We stayed in the 4 bedroom townhome. The amenities and cleanliness were wonderful. Had fun trying to make the perfect margarita using the Margaritaville Blender. We spent some time at the community pool which was a great party atmosphere. Kristie was our server and she was always smiling and eager to please.

We booked the Margaritaville Resort Orlando Cottages with our family of five - 3 small children under 7yrs old. We usually stay at different Disney resorts, but decided to try a new resort off property this time. I would not recommend this resort for families with small children. It’s more of a “party” resort for young adults celebrating special occasions. We had a few issues during our stay which was Thursday through Sunday in September 2021. First - They did not accept AMEX which I tried to use both during booking directly with the resort and when I got to the hotel. Finally they had to call me back for a new form of payment. The hotel front agent said that their system is temporarily not accepting AMEX , then they had a separate payment system for incidentals and drinks - which weirdly gladly took my AMEX. Second: they gave me a band for “two free drinks” with my reservation type upon checking in. The band had a faint smell of vomit. My family and I decided to visit the pool to redeem our “free” drinks and swim on our second day at the resort. Upon arriving we discovered there were no more children’s life vests for use or rent we arrived at the pool around 1145am. We also had to “check out” guest pool towels with our room number. Not very resort like, we sat down on some sun bathing chairs in the sand (which was filled with red ants) , no splash pad for a family friendly resort , only a feet washing and sand shower which the children played with. Attempted to get a drink and snack at the Salty Rim Bar and Grill, the line was over 20 minutes to which I asked a server how to get beach service and he said you have to wait for the server in your area to come visit. After waiting for a server to come visit us for over an hour and becoming fustrated that the children were not able to swim freely because of lack of life jackets and inability to grab a quick snack or drink we decided to leave the pool, we were unable to locate the towel return, and witnessed quite a few people enter the pool that “lost thier access card” I was even asked to let a women and her family enter the pool area- meaning they probably aren’t staying at the resort but rather visit frequently to use the amenities. Security is present around cottages and are pretty intrusive, but they just let anyone come in the front gate on the “resident, resort guests side” but they weren’t present at the pool area. Third: They “upgraded” us from a two bedroom cottage to a three bedroom cottage upon check in due to refusal to take my AMEX payment. This resulted in and extra flight of 18 stairs to the top floor bedroom. I believe the 3 bedroom cottages have about 35ish stairs two separate flights. I did not like the layout of the cottage , with young children it’s not great to be on a separate floor. The “upgrade” also came with a ceiling leak in the main kitchen/dining area which we discovered upon waking up the morning of check out, luckily my children did not wake up first and walk downstairs to the puddle. Also the cottage was not in walking Distance to the pool with 3 small children in the heat. Instead we had to drive to the lobby or call the “shuttle” which is a golf cart and not safe For small children. Pros: kids enjoyed the sand at the pool area. Was only about 10 minutes from Disney, plenty of restaurants and shopping near by. Cons: not really a family friendly resort , overrun by non-resort guests, beach service hard to come by, valet parking is 22$ - way overpriced , cottages were overpriced for being secluded from the pool and lobby of the resort . Have to climb 30+ stairs (after a day in the park it’s not the funnest), cottages aren’t a family friendly layout. Read less
