If you are planning to stay here, particularly at a cottage, you should read the reviews on the separate cottage page because they are TERRIBLE and not untrue. If you are planning to stay here, particularly at a cottage, you should read the reviews on the separate cottage page because they are TERRIBLE and not untrue. This place bills itself as a “luxury” resort, but is anything but. My family and I booked 3 separate cottages for a trip earlier this month and they were not clean. Others who have posted reviews added pictures of dirty couches and baseboards, and that is exactly what you get. To add insult to injury, when they hand you the keys to your dirty cottage they also tell you that you have to pay extra for housekeeping services, including if you want new towels or your trash removed. It’s unreal. Then, after we finished our trip, they emailed me and told me that they were charging me for damage that I DID NOT DO to the room. In that email they invited me to respond or call them with questions, but when I did that, they ignored me. After I followed up, I received an incoherent form response saying that they already charged me and so there is nothing I can do except dispute the charge with my credit card. Which apparently is their MO because if you search these reviews for the word “damage” you see that they’ve done this exact thing to others—charging them for damage they didn’t do. Damage that is more likely a function of their poorly maintained property. And, to preemptively respond to the requisite management comment that it would have been my responsibility to alert them of any damage when I checked in, in fact, that is NOT my responsibility. That is your staff’s responsibility. Your staff should have been in that cottage cleaning it prior to my arrival. So, either they missed the damage because they didn’t do such a great job in cleaning or inspecting it, or they did the damage themselves and are now trying to blame me. Either way, this is totally unacceptable and gross, inappropriate money grab. Read less

We love the Orlando resort, and try to frequent it as much as we can. Always a Great time, and we love the staff. This trip we booked last minute, and we wanted to secure poolside Cabanas as I have some health issues that require me to stay out of the sun as much as I can. While trying to reserve cabanas online without yet having a room number, I had some difficulties. So I wrote a email to the activities group ( I easily found the email address one there website). I received a quick response from Sara who is the Cabana Concierge. Well she was very helpful, and I with her help I was able to book my cabanas for 3 different days. When we arrived and visited the pool the Cabana Team were excellent. Santiago & Tatiana were so helpful. I didn’t get the names of all the other team members (so many assisted us) but everyone was extremely courteous, attentive, and quick to assist with anything we needed. Again, a huge thanks to Sara and the team for making our stay so comfortable, relaxing, and the way a long weekend away from home should be. We had a large suite on the top floor, which was wonderful. The furniture and fitting were top class. Views were far reaching from all balconies. Location next to the mall and cinema etc is great and we used this for dinner each night. Unfortunately the service in the hotel is completely lacking. Grumpy staff and a general feeling that no one can be bothered. There's clearly a massive management leadership fail here. This led to there being no 'holiday atmosphere' throughout the hotel, even around the pool. There are so many other places to stay that have it all. Read less

The staff at Margaritaville Orlando is hands down the overall rudest resort staff my family and I have ever encountered. Not just one person, or two, but the majority of them were not only rude, but condescendingly rude. From the time you pull up to the front door, the valet service manager " Stephen Rozerio " walked up to my family vehicle and aggressively told us to move our vehicle, not "Welcome to Margaritaville", could I please ask you to move your vehicle ....etc ! He was a completely disrespectful ! Then when I approached the front desk about him, the desk clerk was almost as rude as he was to me, refusing to even look me in the eyes and help correct the problem. The kids that work the "pool entrance gate" are beyond rude ! With the exception of one young man ( glasses , tall ) he and Maurice ( a pool waiter ) were possibly the only friendly individuals at the entire resort. The event calendar promised daily events for kids as well as adults, there were 3 at the pool the entire time we were there. When taking your family on a vacation, you just expect a lot more than you get at Margaritaville Orlando. Very disappointing. I believe a lot of his has to do with the "built in" 20% gratuity with everything you purchase ! No need to be friendly, you're getting your 20% regardless ! We would never go back nor would we ever recommend this resort to anyone at anytime. As stated before, it would be different if one or two employees were rude, but in our case, it was one or two were friendly ! There are many resorts in Orlando, keep looking, don't make this one your choice. Read less

Really awful service. Staff morale seems to be on the floor and they in turn are passing that on to the customers. It seems many of the staff here would do really well at Karens Diner. With so many options in the Orlando area it really is shocking. Re-training urgently needed !!! Not just one or two staff members but most !
