We booked in the UK with an independent travel agency that uses Gold Medal Travel. The picture on the brochure of the fabulous outside villa pool area and central water park sold Encore to us. We were a group of 12, 3 families, 6 adults and 6 children. Before we travelled, we confirmed with encore the set up of the villa. I spoke directly to Encore concierge and asked if the villa would have 3 double rooms and 3 twin rooms. I was told that it would. On arrival we were greeted warmly by the staff member at reception. They checked us in swiftly and took us to our villa. They showed us around and gave us the number to call if there were any issues. Once they left, I realised the bedroom set up wasn’t as we’d been told. There were 5 double rooms and 1 twin. Arguments ensued as the kids decided who slept where. We’d had a long day (one lost suitcase) and with the time difference it wasn’t something we wanted to do anything about at the time. The next day was an early start at the parks. A rushed breakfast and out the door for a day of fun. On returning it became clear there wasn’t enough seats around the dining table to all eat dinner together. Also not enough plates and glasses for everyone at once. Plus a very sparse set up of kitchen utensils. We dealt with all of that, but it’s disappointing. The picture of the pool in the brochure was stunning. A large open pool area, plenty of space. What we had was a small pool, 3 sun loungers and a table that seated 6. There were 12 of us!! We tried to call the number that was on the leaflet on the villa to request more towels. The phone on the villa didn’t work and wouldn’t connect us. All these things together left us with a feeling of encore being an average resort. Not one we’ll recommend or rush back to in the future. Read less

I made the mistake of cancelling the townhouse I'd reserved at another resort and booked this house for our 5 days in Orlando. How I wish I had not done that! I chose this property because the house came with a pool and hot tub and my children thought that seemed like SO MUCH FUN! Turns out the pool and hot tub were broken and would not be fixed during our stay. They smelled like disgusting stink water so we couldn't even sit out back to eat or enjoy the spaces nearby. The water in the pool was SLIME and they were so kind as to eventually offer to refund the extra $200 I was charged to heat the hot tub (which is such a scam it isn't even funny). It only took 8 or 9 phone calls for them to make the gracious offer for that refund. The AC in the house was broken upon our arrival. The house was 85 degrees. I don't even know how many times I called asking for them to fix it and each time they sent the same person who would look at it and tell me to "be patient, it SHOULD cool a degree per hour" once it gets dark. On day 4 and after more calls letting them know it didn't even cool the house below 82, they finally sent the same guy who spent the whole day walking in and out of the house working on replacing a part that he admitted he should have just done on day one. Finally that night it cooled it down to 72 degrees. That meant we got to enjoy one night of our stay with cool and and that was the only night that one of my three children didn't come into our room crying because they were "too hot to sleep." Unacceptable! The first floor bathroom toilet didn't work. We discovered that on the second day. The master toilet also did not work and my husband was so sick of calling the office about all the problems we had that he decided to fix it himself (which he did, but the pipes in the walls behind the toilet still made a horrid, loud screeching sound each time it was flushed and would continue to run). There was no hot water when we arrived. I didn't find this out until it was midnight and I could finally relax after the whole day of travel and hassle with the Jeeves people about their insane check in procedures. They actually checked me in and then had the audacity to call back an hour later saying they forgot to make a copy of something and I needed to come right back. I said no, I'll bring it by in the morning and they LOCKED ME OUT of the house by changing the door code. Sent me an email stating that and threating eviction procedures. I WAS ALREADY CHECKED IN! At the time they decided to lock me out, I was cooking dinner for my children and they left me standing outside unable to get back in. My pot of food was beginning to smoke on the stove and my 3 children were still inside. My daughter started to scream and cry and I finally got her to go around to the back door to let me in. GOOD THING THE BACK DOOR DOESN'T HAVE A FUNCTIONAL LOCK!!! Otherwise I'm not sure she'd have been able to get it open and God only knows what would have happened. A fire was not far off. The Jeeves people could have killed someone with their irresponsible, shameful tactic of locking me out because of their own mistake. Shame on them. They did come fix the lock on the door when I called about it, but try explaining to 3 children under 8 why Mommy has to lock them in their bedrooms that night because the door doesn't lock. That was real fun sleeping with an eye and ear open. The resort itself was nothing special. Overpriced crap food. There was foam that the kids found was fun on the first day we were there but the rest of the days there was hardly a bubble so they were disappointed in that. The tubes for the slides are houses WAY out of the way not even close to the stairs where you've got to lug them up to the slide. They also keep them in the hot sun so they really burn you as you struggle to get it where you need. They also don't tell you a kid can't wear a floatie or you can't carry your cell phone up to the slide top and make you take it all the way back down. The moral of the story is take that $2k they want for a couple nights here and stay at a Disney resort or somewhere else. Stay anywhere else. I am STILL WAITING for that manager to call to apologize and resolve the issues we had while we stayed. They promised each time I called that the manager would "be in tomorow" and would call. What a joke. Everytime we called we were fed the same BS line about "we will check on that and get back to you" but they never did. Probably because they knew the pool wouldn't be fixed or anything else and didn't want to tell us that until the night before we left and had no choice. I will post this review anywhere I can in hopes it steers people away from this place. We have gone to Orlando every summer for 8 years and this has been the WORST experience and ironically, it was the most EXPENSIVE PLACE we have stayed. Buyer beware! Read less

We ate at Finn’s which was ok, it was strangely quiet with us being the only diners. The resort was very busy at this time as there were lots of large family groups celebrating Passover with outside gatherings and parking on the roads. I hadn’t anticipated the use of golf carts in the resort and it did seem like there were as many carts as cars, some of which were being driven by children. Read less

I must say I am extremely disappointed in the level of service we have received. Since we got to the property we have not been able to open the door for access without a maintenance call to allow us access. The access code provided upon check in never worked. The following issues were experienced so far during our stay. We paid good money to stay at this resort. We placed a deposit to assure that the property was left in good condition, but the property was in terrible condition when we arrived. My family and I have stayed here many times and we have never encountered an experience like this. We don’t mine paying a premium for a nice place to stay while on vacation. We definitely did not receive the level of accommodation we paid for during this stay. Encore stay complaints There were roaches Linen was dirty Door has not worked When we checked in the house was dirty, floors were dirty, dishes in the dish washer (which left a smell in the house), trash can broken. Refrigerator was leaking water. Lights fixtures missing bulbs Outlets are not working in some of the rooms Towels were dirty Broken iron Coffee maker was broken Never received a call back from a customer service supervisor as promised I called about 10 times. Each time I had to get into the home as the access code provided never worked. Completely disappointed with the stay Read less

We just spent a week with our family at this resort. Our stay here was full of issues and disappointments from the arrival. We arrived late due to a delay in getting our rental car. Here are our multitude of issues: 1. When we arrived the house was 80 degrees. We called the management and they sent someone out who told us that all of the AC is controlled by the main computer and no one turned ours on. it is also set to go no lower than 72 degrees. 2. We found that the house, though made to house 10 people, didn't have enough pots or pans to cook for 2. We had to request extra pans twice. Also, if you plan to cook as we did, there were also very limited other kitchen supplies. Like one serving bowl. 3. They give you 3 sets of towels for each bathroom. This was 12 for us. So, if you have 9 people or 10 like the house advertises, you will have to use the same towel to shower and use at the pool. (You can get an extra set of towels for $5.00.) I was told this was why they had a washer. We had no kitchen towels or dish clothes and had to call to request them. They brought us 2. 4. When we walked into the home, the entire floor was sticky and there was melted chocolate on the hall carpeting and in one bedroom. 5. There is a large sectional in the living area and the entire back was broken on one side, the springs were broken on the other side and the back cushion was ripped. One kitchen cabinet had a broken hinge, as did one of the dressers in one bedroom. The vertical blinds were broken and would not close. 6. Each house has a beautiful pool and what we thought was a hot tub. We were told it was not a hot tub, but a bubbling water feature unless we paid $44 a day to turn on the heat in the hot tub and pool. The pool was a little cloudy when we arrived and on day 2 or 3 we smelled chlorine so we figured it had been treated. This was too late because 3 of my 4 grandchildren had bilateral ear infections from swimming in that pool and our medical bills were around $700. 7. We paid to have a gas grill and when we arrived we noticed no propane tank. We had to call twice to get them to bring it to us. 8. There are no cleaning supplies for the house if you spill or want to clean the counters. 9. There were lots of bugs and small worms in the house. 10. The staff was nice, but not very helpful and did not communicate with each other. 11. They advertise many events during the week. We were attending the ice cream social with the kids and when we couldn't find it, we asked. They said that they did know anyone wanted to do it and the event director was not working. They eventually got everything out but it was an hour and a half later. 11. Lastly, When you are planning your vacation here, you need to know that after the cleaning fee, care package cost, daily amenity fee and taxes, your bill will be at least 27% more than the cost of the house. It was very costly for our family of 9 to go from Chicago to Florida and we wouldn't let this resort ruin our good time. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It was a disappointment from day one to day seven! Read less
