This hotel is unlike any other ritz I have every been to...where to begin while checking into the hotel there are fire alarms going off and no one is ever stoping to them what so ever ...we proceed to the elevator which again are telling us about the fire alarm we get to or room and there is still food in the fridge the walls are dirty and there is a hole 5 inch hole in the wall in our room I called downstairs and the moved my room, and meet them on the 9th floor we stood out side of our room for what seem like forever before I decide to go down stair and get the new keys because no one ever came to met us. We went to the pool at the JW and I was great.after dinner we are going to bed and realize there was no turn down service and our queen bed are not queens at all at this point it’s midnight and I just want to go to sleep so I end up sleeping on the floor and at some point my daughter joins me. I get up to have a cup coffee to find the railings and Banister on my balcony have blood all over them.I then proceeded to go downstairs to get a cup of coffee which takes 45 minutes. At this point I return back to my room to find out if I can receive a late check out to which I’m told the best they can do is give me another hour. At this point I explain to them the whole situation and they asked me if my family had eaten breakfast yet and I said no so they sent me downstairs to have breakfast.Upon check out I spoke to the manager who took care of my breakfastAnd told me she could not refund my room but she could send me a voucher for another night which I still have not received I called checking on the status of this I am still awaiting a phone call. I think the next time I’m looking for a Hotel I’ll be staying at the JW next door or the four seasons. Read less

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway and I was pleasantly surprised to find a lovely hotel with exceptional service. We did a package that included breakfast, valet parking and a small daily credit. Check-in was seamless, our room had a nice view of the pool and golf course, and we found it comfortable. Only small complaint was the bed was a bit too soft for us, but otherwise offered a huge TV screen for watching the Masters tournament which was on while we were there. Pool is big - we had no problem getting chairs in the morning. And the employees there to set up your chairs were very friendly and super helpful. The service at the pool was solicitous - we never had to wait too long for drinks or food which always seems the case at most pools. We wanted to use the adult/spa pool but it’s only available to those with a spa service. You can apparently buy passes - which were sold out the weekend we were there - so we never experienced it. We ate breakfast at the Harvest restaurant - a good selection of options. We had lunch at the pool restaurant called Bleu which was good, and finally had dinner at Knife and Spoon which was EXCELLENT. The service there was exceptional - they initially seated us next to large family with a high-pitched crying baby. Without us ever having to say anything, they noticed our displeasure and proactively moved us to the other side of the restaurant. I had oysters and a steak (delicious!), my husband had shrimp cocktail and swordfish which he gobbled up. A soufflé for dessert was the perfect ending. The servers were so attentive without feeling cloying - they quietly monitored their tables with discreet and efficient attention. While it’s an expensive meal, we left feeling like the experience was worth every penny. Finally every time we called the valet for our car it was sitting up front waiting for us. This place is a well-oiled machine! Kudos to the great staff at the Ritz - we are looking forward to going back soon! Read less

I have never wrote a bad review before, especially at this hotel which we have been coming to for years, and I chose to ignore the multiple bad reviews I recently read, but things have really gone down hill. I will preface this by noting that the staff in the club lounge were attentive and very accommodating. What we weren’t prepared for was the lack of service in other aspects. We started off by having to switch rooms on arrival due to a black stain on the chair and curtain. We were skipped completely for turn down service on the second night, then on the third night, we were skipped for housekeeping all together. I called the front desk and said we would be headed out for dinner and to make sure housekeeping came during this time. We came back at 8 pm, and the room wasn’t touched. Needing to put the kids to bed at this point, I went down to the front desk and asked to switch rooms, which Breanna was sincerely sorry and gave us a different room. So we packed up our entire room and moved. The club lounge has changed due to the remodel, and it just seems they do not cater to kids whatsoever. We talked to a few other people who had similar complaints. Over the years, they had multiple options for kids, now nothing. For being a resort in Orlando, where kids are a huge focus, it just seems odd they are trying to keep kids away from the club lounge. Also, there are zero snacks or anything offered during the day. They are supposed to have grab and go and light snacks from 2-5, but when we asked about it, we were told no and to come back at 5:30. The other main concern is the condition of the kids playground area. We had to take a few pics because we were shocked at the condition of it. It looked like the aftermath of a college party. There were ice buckets laying all around and on top the slide, garbage and towels strewn about, and two hours later we looked out our balcony and it was still exactly the same. There were also groups of people walking over from the Marriott with their beach towels to use the pool and playground area, and no one monitoring this whatsoever. It seemed they were extremely short staffed in the mornings by the pool and most of the time we had to get our own chairs and towels set up I know things are different with covid, and you can only use covid as an excuse for so much. Our flight was changed a day, and instead of adding on another night here, we checked into the Four Season for a night and they honestly blow the Ritz out of the water. The Four Seasons represents a true 5 star hotel, and we always thought the Orlando Ritz set the bar just as high, but not anymore it seems. Unfortunately, I don’t know if we can say we will be back here- something changed either with management or standards, and we are so disappointed because we have been coming here for years and have never once had a bad experience! There were noises through the flimsy door, the walls and the ceiling. Limited TV Chanel’s. Saggy beds. Housekeeping forgot to clean our room one day and only once showed up for turn down service, even after we complained. The shower stall is small at 3’x3’ and the towels and the bathrobe (we had to ask for one) are as simple as they could get away with. The toilet made noise every half an hour or so. The A/C compressor made such a noise every time it came on, that we kept it off as much as we could. There was an outlet only near one side of the bed. There is no free WiFi, nor coffee in public area in the morning. Additional $90 @ day for mandatory valet parking (that was sometimes too slow) and resort fee (which offers very little with lots of limitations). Read less
