I wanted to add one day due to airline changes and couldn't do it online. I spent 20 minutes on the phone where he was having issues, then was contacted by text message the day of with the wrong reservation information (they had me booked for a single day instead of three with no acknowledgment of my original reservation), and then when I got to the front desk to check in they still had the wrong information and we had a wait while they rectified it. Upon getting to the room we had a dead cockroach and even after I reported it it took two days to clean up, even after there was a "deep cleaning" done there was still some weird white powder in the closet carpet where I wanted to store my things. There were no sheer curtains, and we were in a corner room so unless we wanted our neighbors staring straight into our room we had to have the blackout curtains drawn and stay in a dark box. There were people partying until 3AM on their balcony 2 of our 3 nights, which the front desk did nothing about. I did approach the staff with all these concerns and got, "invited back" for after some renovations were completed?? Barely an apology and no solutions or anything to help recitify. I'm a Bonvoy member and am very disappointed - we'll be staying at a St Regis, Regent or boutique hotels in the future for this price point. Read less

The restaurant brought him a sorbet, no charge. He was so excited and it was so thoughtful. This is a hotel and hotel chain getting it exactly right in our new world. Discerning parent tested and family approved. Thank you Ritz!! Read less

At breakfast, the main dining room allowed a guy to eat barefoot - how is this acceptable? Checked out early because of drilling and hammering (manager told me that construction is 7 days a week from 9am - 5pm.... this was a Sunday morning.) Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this property. Def an awesome property and enjoyed our stay tremendously. Pool was great. The Ritz is very central to lots of attractions but we didn’t leave the property at all. We all got massages and enjoyed them tremendously!

The Ritz Carlton is absolutely stunning, one of the best hotels in Central FL. We just checked our today and we had a blast! GM Jon and his team were delightful and the hotel was as good as we expected.
