Location is good - about $10-15 by Uber to Icon Park, just 15 minute drive. This is a huge conference hotel - as per some other reviews , it can get noisy if there is a conference ongoing. The golf course was exceptionally maintained - our 3 kids (12,14,16) played 2 rounds there any thoroughly enjoyed it. Cost about $300 each round, but that included 2 carts, club rental, driving range time, and 18 holes - which we thought was actually good value considering the quality of the course. Staff , particularly in the clubhouse, were very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay here again . Read less

Stayed here as part of a package deal with Virgin Holidays. Plus points it is great value for money at the moment, it’s clean and well looked after, bad points are that at present they only have one restaurant open in the evening per day and the wait times were terrible and if they are holding an event they were struggling to cope. 40 to 50… Read more

I recently spent 3 nights at this property for a business meeting. It's a very large hotel (approx 1500 rooms) with a large convention facility. There are both good and bad aspects of the property along with one big problem, which led to this poor review. I'll start with the good things: 1. The property is very nice. There are numerous restaurants, several pools, golf courses, spa, etc. The public areas are very well maintained. 2. My room was very comfortable and clean. It was a nice size with a very comfortable bed. It has a small refrigerator and safe. 3. The staff I encountered (mostly front desk) were all very nice and tried to be helpful. 4. The catering (food) in the convention area was very good. We had breakfasts, lunch, and a reception. Everything was well prepared. Here's the bad: 1. It's very difficult to get anyone on the phone. On the day of check in, I received a text regarding online check in. I had reserved a king size room but was only offered a double queen on the online system. When I called, I was on hold for at least 10 minutes. While staying, I found that calling guest services connects you to the same number.....again, long hold times. 2. Apparently, the hotel has a large number of double rooms with few kings (see above). I reserved a king but was told that it was just a request. I did get a king but there was no indication on my reservation that the room type was a request. If that's the case, reservations should be "run of house." I would have been very unhappy with a double room. 3. The decor is a little dated.....for instance, textured walls/ceilings and dark hallways. 4. I had a couple problems with my room. When I checked in, the refrigerator did not work. It was replaced promptly. Later, I noticed that the light on my clock did not work. I reported this to the desk (to avoid the long hold times) but it was never fixed. These could have been noticed by housekeeping before my arrival. 5. There are numerous "up charges." Parking is $25 per day.....at a very large property, this is excessive. I was charged $10 to use the fitness center. I've never been charged for this at any other hotel. FInally, the big problem that caused me to give the poor rating. As I mentioned, I was attending business meetings. On the afternoon of our first day, a cheer-leading competition moved in. We were told that there were 7000 people associated with this group. As you can imagine, that event comes with a large number of children, loud noise, and constant running around. It was not conducive to our meetings and we were disrupted frequently. The same happened in the hotel corridors......constant running and loud noise. The parents didn't seem to care. The common areas were overrun by this group. The pools were a mob scene.....even the one designated as a "quiet" pool. There were constant lines for elevators. The hotel staff did nothing to minimize the disturbances caused by this group, much to the detriment of other guests. If this had been a vacation stay, I would have moved to another hotel. Given the size of this group, it should have had the entire hotel. While I enjoyed several aspects of this property, the poor judgement by management to allow such a disruptive group will likely keep me from returning. Read less

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. Was not expecting much after reading some negative reviews but we had an amazing stay. Everything you need is on the resort, you do not need to leave. If you do, there is a lot within walking distance or a quick Uber ride. Grounds were beautiful and the rooms were very spacious. Greats size for a family of 4. I do see how the sheets could be a touch softer but the beds were extremely comfortable. Saturday, the pool was crazy busy. The bartenders tried hard to keep up but it was impossible. Also, the pool deck was messy with old towels and empty food containers and only a few people working. This of course could have been helped if patrons would have cleaned up when they were leaving. The only negative was the price for Easter brunch. Although it was a man impressive spread, I could not swallow the price tag. A discounted rate for hotel guests would have been a pleasant touch since it appeared most customers where from outside of the resort. Overall, I look forward to planning a return stay! Read less

The pools were kept very nice and there was plenty of sun loungers to be had there is also a pool just for laps. The pool side bar has many cocktails and draught beers all at a reasonable price the food menu is also very good and a bit pricey but well worth it. The barmen were all very interested in getting to know us and came across as very polite as were all the staff I met here. The grounds are worth a walk and are quite beautiful.the hotel is so large they hold many business conventions so the bars and restaurants can get busy so plan your evenings in advance. I will definatley be coming back here. Kind regards R Jell Read less
