The hotel

As soon as you step through the front door of the Hard Rock Hotel®, you’ll feel like a rock ‘n’ roll icon. Where is it

Within easy walking distance of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure plus Universal CityWalk and a quick shuttle bus ride to Universal's Volcano Bay. Transfer time from Orlando International Airport: 20 minutes.

Hotel information

650 rooms and suites. All with air-conditioning, 49" flat-screen TV, iPod docking station, coffee maker, mini-fridge, safe, iron and board, bathrobes and hairdryer. Standard Rooms are 375 sq ft and have 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. 

Garden View Rooms are 375 sq ft and feature views of the hotel's gardens, with 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Pool View Rooms are 375 sq ft and feature views of the pool, with 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. 

Deluxe Rooms are 400 sq ft and have 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. 

King Suites are 650 sq ft open-plan suites, with a large living area and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Future Rock Star Suites are 800 sq ft and have 2 bedrooms. With 1 king-size bed in the master bedroom, and twin beds in the second bedroom, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Rock Royalty Club Rooms are located on the 7th floor. and include exclusive club benefits (listed below), with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Rock Royalty club benefits include access to the Rock Royalty Lounge. Continental breakfast, 7am-10am. Personal concierge services. Hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine - 5pm-7pm. Evening sweets, 8:30pm-9:30pm. Complimentary coffee, assorted teas and soft drinks. Evening turndown service. Discount on cabanas*.

The hotel is located within walking distance to CityWalk and Theme parks, but this is the only nice thing. The hotel is just ok and nothing special. Rooms are tiny and minimal decorations. The mattresses are uncomfortable and the linens are cheap. The food is astronomically expensive- $7 for a bottle of water. Clean enough.

The woman who checked us in didn't quite have a room available (we showed up before check in time) but she went ahead and upgraded our room from garden to pool view and gave us a room! Our experience was amazing from the moment we walked in. The woman who checked us in didn't quite have a room available (we showed up before check in time) but she went ahead and upgraded our room from garden to pool view and gave us a room! Any questions we had were promptly answered by sending a text or going to the check in desk. The water taxi to Universal was always pleasant! The room itself was fantastic with comfortable beds, a nice shower and working fridge and TV. The full service bell boy (if that's what it's still called) was nice too. They walked our luggage straight to the room as well as from the room to meet our car. The artifacts that decorate the halls made the whole hotel an experience in itself. Read less

Resort was very clean! Customer service was amazing! We stayed on the Club Level which costs more per day; however, it includes breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day, and heavy appetizers (usually enough for dinner) in the evenings along with beer/wine. Overall, it was a cost savings! Would 100% stay here again!

Well Hotel looks nice stayed in the club level problems started when we went to the club for Happy Hour. They show a few beers but when we asked for one they only had one of that type left and iam telling you we were the first people in line when it opened.Well returning to the room we got greeted by giant roaches running around sink countertop.… Read more
Well Hotel looks nice stayed in the club level problems started when we went to the club for Happy Hour. They show a few beers but when we asked for one they only had one of that type left and iam telling you we were the first people in line when it opened.Well returning to the room we got greeted by giant roaches running around sink countertop. Well we had plans and went out tufted it out that night to deal with it in the AM hours went to front desk 730AM guy had a lady assistant manager come to desk said sorry but also said no other room to change us to. Only option was to pack up out stuff have it stored in baggage and wait until others check out and rooms get cleaned to see if we would get another room. I said we cant do that we go back and forth from parks to room. I said why cant we keep the room until a replacement was available .She said no not we can not. All she cared able was spraying our room so that is was ready for the next guest and basically the hell with us. Not acceptable for the price you pay at the Hard Rock and the club level Read less

Best hotel in Orlando. We have stayed here 4 times and we are always sad when we leave. The staff is amazing. Abby at the front desk and the VIP Coordinator Kate made us truly feel special when we arrived. Also want to give a shout out to Carmen at Emach & Bolios for helping my wife when she forgot her cash and could not remember her room number.… Read more
