Excellent hotel. Couldn’t have asked for better, had a 2 bedroom family suite for 2 adults 2 children (14 & 10). Lovely kitchen area with a table. Hotel has its own cafe/grab and go bar which is an absolute life saver after a long day and not wanting to get ready to go out to eat! Pool is great and open until 11pm. Shuttle to Universal parks brilliant
Only negative is games room credit machine didn’t work and the staff can’t do anything about it as it is an external provider.

We stayed for a week at Surfside as a base for the theme parks. We chose it primarily because it offers 2 bedroom suites with separate double and twin rooms. This gave us the privacy and our teenage sons the space they needed.

It was excellent value and the room was just like the photos. Only downside was that it could do with a little more storage.
The hotel was spotless and looked brand new with a great pool and reception.
The snack restaurant was better than expected and I wish we'd eaten there earlier.
Staff were very nice and helpful and check-in/out hassle-free.
Very good location for Universal parks and City Walk with a free bus every 10 minutes or so. Easy to get an Uber from, which we did when we went to Disney.
Picking up our hire car for the rest of our Florida trip was easy from the desk in reception.
Overall a great choice for families, great value and very much recommended.

Stayed here for the first time as we usually choose dockside. Reception staff were incredible and allowed us to check in an hour earlier whilst also giving us a pool view. Stayed here for the first time as we usually choose dockside. Reception staff were incredible and allowed us to check in an hour earlier whilst also giving us a pool view. The food options here compared to dockside are a lot more limited which was disappointing. We chose here as there is an access gate right opposite the main entrance however this was locked at 8pm which meant you have to walk all the way around. Very inconvenient when it is pouring down with rain and your centre metres away from the entrance.

A Great Hotel and Very Convenient!

Definitely a must-stay place! The shuttle service alone made it worth it - didn't have to deal with traffic and my vehicle stayed in the garage during the heat of day. Early park entry - another win! The rooms were fantastic and overall atmosphere was excellent. Highly recommended!
