I’m a Saratoga Springs Native....born and raised. Worked the race track every summer. Now that I have moved away I was very excited to stay at the Saratoga Springs Resort and relive some “hometown” memories. I was very disappointed in how it does not resemble Saratoga at all!! First of all Saratoga is a relatively small city with Victorian influences which is not at all portrayed in the architecture of the resort. Secondly, where are all the pictures of the celebrity horses or even just the horse races themselves. I googled the concept of the resort and found out that the architect himself is from Saratoga. I would have never believed that!! Very disappointed!! Not even close to the class and elegance that Saratoga Springs exhibits.

We’re about to be regulars....

What can I say about Saratoga Springs other than I loved it! Full disclosure- we are a military family and use our local base to book our trips/park tickets. So the rates we pay are lower than the general public.

I’m going to get the only negative out of the way right now- we stayed in Congress park, it was the 4th bus stop in the resort.
That’s my only negative, maybe 2 different buses so there are less stops and you get back to your room faster, the ride seems even longer with sore feet and a small child on your lap.
We stayed in an updated one bedroom villa, that was just beautiful, we felt right at home. The small foyer (perfect for parking our stroller when we came back from the park), the kitchen, Murphy beds, laundry....it was very home-like. Our room was directly across the parking lot from the bus stop, so we would walk to the stairs (2nd floor) and go right to our room.
There was also the matter of how close it is to Disney springs, I needed Starbucks every morning, I can’t make it without good coffee. It was also nice to end each night wandering around looking at Christmas decorations and getting dinner and desert, not to mention shopping!
We really enjoyed our time at Saratoga Springs, my only concern now is, will we be able to afford that same room post-COVID. We we’re supposed to stay at port orleans but since it didn’t open yet, our reservation was moved to Saratoga. At first I was so sad, but now I feel spoiled with the change/upgrade.
My husband was home on leave from his deployment so we only stayed 3 nights, I could have stayed a month!! The bell man that drove us to our room, stopped to take some family pictures of us on the tour of the grounds. Everyone was wonderful, the employees all seemed to really enjoy their jobs and greeted you warmly.
Being in the COVID era, I was worried about safety....if that is your concern....DONT WORRY. The buses leave seats open, have barriers between groups, and every single place you look throughout Disney has a 6 ft sticker to let you know where to stand. All of the items in the rooms have bags marked sanitized and everything felt very safe. We will definitely be returning to Saratoga springs!!

Nice room, lack of customer service

Stayed in a renovated room which was very nice. Room wasn’t ready until after 6pm due to housekeeping, but we were okay with that because we were eating dinner at a park. There were a few small things that needed to be repaired, like the bathroom door lock. We called the Disney phone line and didn’t hear back. Found a dirty sock and dirty towel in the washing machine, from the previous guests, yuck! Reported it to the Disney line and they said a manager would be in contact, never heard from a manager.

Clean, comfortable and big 1 bedroom. I had plenty of space to move around. Having 2 sinks allowed for 2 people to get ready at the same time. Room had a garden tub and stand up shower. We didn't use the tub but I know it would be helpful for small children.

We stayed at the Tree House Villas for a week and it was our 8th different property to stay at. You check in at Saratoga Springs and then you can walk, get a bellman to take you on a golf cart or catch a shuttle that runs over there like a bus to a theme park. They are quite secluded, so if you are looking for solitude this is the most remote Disney resort we have stayed at. There are stairs to walk up as the villas are on stilts above the woods and riverside. Inside there are 3 bedrooms, a nice kitchen, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer, a deck and a BBQ grill. My advice is bring groceries in or have them delivered for a service. It’s a long walk back to the restaurant and store to get a snack. Another tip, when returning from parks get off at the first stop and walk the 1/4 mile to the Villas. If you ride it all the way to the stop where you catch the shuttle to the Villas it’s an extra 30 minutes of wasted time. The Villas are roomy, quiet and self sufficient, downside is it’s a good walk to anywhere. We walked to Disney Springs and it’s well over a mile. We are in good shape so not a big deal for us but if you struggle with mobility this may not be the place for you.

We continue to review this and working to open up these options to more customers. In the meantime check out our FAQs to see if this can help answer any immediate questions.
Rest assured; we will notify you as soon as we know if your holiday has been affected.

Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
