For $250+ dollars a night, PLEASE stay at the HOLIDAY INN. This place is NOT a resort, it is a budget inn, in disguise. My hotel room was disgusting and unfortunately, I did not realize the ugliness I found until my LAST night there. There is MOLD growing on the wall and there was a random baseball under the curtains, as if the room was never even cleaned or looked at behind the curtains!! I'm not talking "a little mold", the entire wall from the bottom of the baseboard, half way up the wall to the middle portion of the window. How has NO ONE in housekeeping seen this? I heard a dripping noise and moved the curtain and a random baseball came rolling out from under the curtains. I absolutely understand that "things happen" and maybe the ball got missed, but with the mold and the location of the baseball, its obvious that these rooms are not cleaned to the specifications that you would assume a RESORT (what you're willing to pay for upgraded pleasures) would entail. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. FIND ANOTHER LOCATION ON THE GROUNDS IF YOU WANT LUXURY. THIS PLACE IS NOT IT!! Read less

The lobby and pool is beautiful and overall it was a great experience. That I’d give a 5. However, once my door would not lock, so they sent someone up to “fix” it. The next day a screw just fell out. I called again and mentioned the top lock wasn’t working and I was feeling unsafe. I got an eye roll. They told me it would be almost impossible to break down the door. Look at these pictures and you can decide for yourself. Also-don’t eat in your room-ants were everywhere. For those two reasons, I give the room a one. This is room 11171. And please Dolphin, don’t apologize on here after the fact, when I came downstairs twice over this. Read less

We visited this hotel July 1 to July 6. I usually read all the reviews before booking and hoped it would be nice but it’s a bit deceiving and we were disappointed. Considered moving hotels but my kids were too exhausted. The Bad. Need a major room Remodel. They said it was updated but looks Ike they put a bandaid on a dated room and called it a remodel.. 1. Rooms are very dated with popcorn ceiling and musty and dingy. Decor is lacking and bland. 2. Hall floors and walls leading to rooms are cracked and dirty. 3. Light in rooms is lacking 4. Beds are small (double not queens) 5. Bathroom includes shower and toilet in a very tiny restroom. Sink is right outside in small arrea. There are no fans in the bathroom and hot water would run out. 6. Outlets are coming out of lamps 7. No microwave or mini fridge in standard room 8. First time room clean they didn’t replace our hand soap and 2nd time they still didn’t replace. We had no hand soap for 2 days. We ran out of shampoo and it wasn’t replaced. Had to ask for both. 9. Never heard a vacuum when maids cleaning. That’s probably why floors feel dirty. 10. Looks like it’s never dusted. 11.. Boats only go to Epcot and Hollywood. You have to guess which Park the boat is going too until the captain get off the boat and walks up and yells “Hollywood” or “Epcot”. Buses go To Animal Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom bus takes you to the Disney Ticketing Center then you have to take a monorail to Magic Kingdom which is very very inconvenient. 12. Luggage carts are only used by bellman. You can’t get your own and take down your own luggage. You have to reserve bell service. Which of course then now you have to tip someone. 13. Resort fee is $42-$45 and it doesn’t include self parking.of $35 a day. 14. Front desk don’t know the Disney info since they are not really a disney hotel so you miss that Disney customer service experience. 15. Staying at a Disney Value resort would have felt like an upgrade. The Good. 1. Nice lobby 2. Nice pool area (they have 3) 3. Near Epcot Overall Feedback: Don’t stay here is you have high expectations of the feeling in the room. If you want that nice fresh feeling you won’t get it. If you want a decent place to stay near the parks then this is for you. We won’t be staying best again. I heard the Swan was the same. Read less

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Dated but convenient to parks

Jul 5, 2024 AggieShelley Texas

The best attribute is the convenience to the parks. The property is dated, the rooms are dated, but the lobby is nice. There is a decent selection of restaurants but there is no microwave in room, so that was a hassle. The multiple pools and outdoor activities looked nice, but the parks were our focus.
