I had a very good stay at the Swan Reserve - not to be confused with the Swan. That said the Swan Reserve is part of the Swan and Dolphin complex and guests at the Reserve have both access and charge privileges at the Swan and Dolphin amenities. Oddly I gather the Reserve’s pool is exclusive but it’s smaller. That actually sets the theme of it - it’s on the edge of all the Disney magic but just a little detached. It’s a five minute walk to boat dock for transport to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. They have buses to Animal kingdom and Magic kingdom next to the hotel entrance. As others have noted the Magic kingdom buses drop at the monorail not the park. The hotel itself is very pretty - essentially brand new. The rooms are both modem and very functional. There were many easy to access plugs and usb outlets. I was able to use my Marriott Suite Night Awards to get a wonderful suite with views of three parks including the Epcot fireworks. Note - they told me they ares having trouble meeting upgrade requests so YMMV! Speaking of YMMV - they have a limited capacity fireworks viewing at the top floor but it is invitation only and not every night. When I asked about mentioning it online they asked me to note the invite limit - usually it’s filled with elite levels that didn’t get an upgrade etc. The workout room was great - even had Apple gym kit cardio. Nothing is perfect though - two flaws. The phones are answered by dolphin staff that don’t know the reserve and we’re a bit callous. The manager says that’s being looked at. The on site staff were wonderful! The restaurant is not open early enough for rope droppers but the elite vouchers work for early room service so it was ok. This is a Marriott property so you get the ability to use or earn Marriott points. It’s also considered a premiere Disney resort so you get the extra hours perks for stays, restaurant reservations, genie queue etc. Overall a good stay for someone who wants the Disney bubble with the ability to detach slightly. I’d recommend it for certain! Read less

However, if you want a beautiful hotel with modern design then winner winner chicken dinner. This gorgeous property has everything you need after a long day at the parks. The pool is lovely and they have cabanas available for rent. The on property coffee bar (Grounds) has a good mix of food items, drinks, and coffees that will hit the spot anytime of day. If you want to see and be seen, the lobby bar is beautiful and the staff is friendly. Their restaurant Amare is also a delish option. We had a Suite on the 8th floor that offered fireworks views at both Magic Kingdom and Epcot. We were also invited to a fireworks viewing party on their 15th floor terrace that included drinks and snacks. Read less

The Swan Reserve rooms were slightly bigger than our recent stay at the Swan. The bathrooms were bigger, but less counter space. The floor to ceiling windows were a big plus, especially if you’re on the Epcot or H Studios side. The pool had many toys, steps, and shallow area, and service was excellent - pool area was liked by both adults and kids over the Swan (maybe not the Dolphin slide). Although cabanas are smaller (4 person) and there is no hot tub. The firepit seating by the pool is very nice and pool bar is very nice. Tangerine food by the pool was excellent. The junior suite with dining table and couch was great to hang out during a big storm that came through. The restaurant Amare we ate both seated and as room service, both we thought were good and we have pretty high standards. Others in the group didn’t enjoy the food so maybe it depends what you order. We would still prefer a stay at Swan or Dolphin due to proximity to Epcot and H Studios - on a hot humid day or during a rain storm , that extra 1/3 mile and crossing a fairly busy street makes a huge difference. Plus more restaurant options at Swan and Dolphin. If it was a romantic trip then I might book the Boutiquey feeling Reserve, but with small children it is all aboit convenience and amenities. Recently, I stayed at the new Swan Reserve Hotel in Walt Disney World. It was the first time in my many trips to Disney World that I did not stay at a Disney resort. However, although the Swan Reserve is not a Disney owned resort, you will receive the same benefits as Disney resort guests. Our room was beautiful and spacious. The staff was lovely and very friendly. The pool was a nice quiet place to relax, if you want more action you can use the Dolphin pool which has more going on with water slide, activities, etc. The restaurant was great for breakfast with a delicious buffet and provided great lunch for the poolside bar. My only complaint, would be the convenience. We had to walk across the street to the Swan hotel in order to take the water taxi to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and regarding transport to the Magic Kingdom, the Hotel's bus only takes you to the TTC and then you need to take the monorail or ferry to Magic Kingdom Park. Other than the issue of convenience the stay at the hotel was a wonderful getaway. If you are a couple looking to avoid the rowdiness of children at Disney this is a great place for you, the same for business people who may be attending conferences. Read less

Reserved a one night stay the day before our visit via phone reservation and secured a traditional room with no view. We did not hear anything from our neighbors above or beside us! This would be our next option for a quick Disney stay! Read less
