We stayed 5 days in May 2022 in Beach Bungalow (Room 202). 3 days with rain/sun, 2 days with sun. Our overall rating score is 4 of 5. Let’s break it down. Pros: 1. Clean, pristine and sophisticated room. Nifty-looking interior and exterior. Outside patio is great with little exceptions (see. Cons). 2. Soft descent to the water. Flat cost inside the water in front of the Bungalow. Nice! The waters is 0.4 - 0.5 meters deep, no more. In the front of other bungalows that located nearby our bungalow the waters is less low (around 0.2 - 0.3 m). 3. The small distant island in front of beach bungalow is the good opportunity to meander to it ‘by water’. The path takes 10 min one side. 4. Broad-ranging meals. Each day restaurant offers certain cuisine (Sri Lankan, Italian, Mexican and others). 5. The staff is warmly-welcoming and go-to. 6. The hotel perfectly set up and well-maintained transfer in and out. Timing was great. Outbound flight was scheduled on 09:55 from Male, so plane was prepared to be depart from the Cinnamon at 06.10 am. 7. Entertaining shows for the first two or three days of our stay was interesting (live music, DJ), but the forth, fifth were the same and no changing in shows at all (same songs, same singer). But on Friday night there was… Ocean Discovery … wait-for-it SLIDE DECK. Friday. Night. On the background of live music (the same as before). 8. Azure waters. Free ride to coral reef twice a day (at 10 am and 3 pm) where you will have one hour to do snorkelling. But it is because the island have not home reef AT ALL. Cons: 1. Beach bungalows are extremely close to each others. Without difficulties you can hear shouts, tittle-tattle from the neighbours. No privacy at all. When sitting on your patio you see neighbour’s wall at the distance of two meters. 2. Umbrella that used as a cover from the sun because of sunbeds are located underneath it stays too close to vegetation where a lot of insects are flown (for example, huge bees), so only one of two beds are stay on the opposite side of vegetation and is proper to use. If you love insects it will not bother you. Otherwise - it will. 3. Ants in the bungalow. A lot. After room cleaning they were disappeared on a short time and resurface again in a few hours. 4. Flies in restaurants were coming on the third day of our stay (first two days the sky was clear). And didn’t flied anywhere. It’s awful to eat when flies fly around and touch your meals. 5. 5.1. Crows! In restaurant. Yeah, if you prefer to sit on the open side of restaurant get ready to crows look at you and wait while you get up from your chair so they were able go to your dishes, glass and grab a food, drink you beverages. So you had not have the opportunity to leisurely get up and go grab a desert. 5.2. Crows were shouting on the island during our stay. That afflicts disturbance, especially while sleeping at the morning. 6. Asian Koel. To be simple: cuckoo. That BIRD definitely has a nest above our bungalow so we were hearing its calls and shouts EVERY MORNING, EVERY DAY and every afternoon (see videos: Asia Koel calls / shouts). For us, loving quietness, it was a torture. 7. The roof of bungalow is made of canvas or tarp. That great thing! It’s perfectly bright and sunny in the bungalow during the day. But get ready to meet with tropical rain. The rain pounds and it makes (again) impossible to sleep at the night or at the morning. It’s a rattle hearing from the above. 8. When you have all inclusive you have approx. 10-12 cocktails included in your menu during the day. Yeah, that’s sounds great, but each cocktail (if compared to Europe or the USA) has not so much in common with its original version. Cocktail serving is another pet peeve. There is no culture to select special glass for the each cocktails. No, the one half of cocktails were served in one kind of glassware, and the other in another kind. No highballs, snifflers, hurricanes and etc. Cosmopolitan serves in standard glass instead of a martini glass. They have only one white wine and one red wine. And there is one Australian brand: Berri Estates, which is arrived in 5L bricks (OMG), not 0.75 L bottles. But they don’t spare alcohol in cocktail. That is +. 9. We can’t find order-in-the-room menu. 10. There are no other restaurants on the island (except for the Crab Restaurant which upon our observations is not enjoy sympathy among the visitors and requires pre-reservations). 11. No fish swimming at the lagoon at all. We came across few kinds, not more. Please, consider aforementioned as a positive feedback. Overall experience was above our expectations. Read less

Been home a month and missing this island so much. Everything was just perfect .All the staff are so lovely and a credit to the island. The water bungalow was just amazing, everything you could possibly ask for. Even the pilot circled the island for me to video 😁. I cried when I left, thank you so so much, we truly had the best time.

This trip was only booked a week before we travelled as we had to cancel an earlier alternative holiday due to covid. This resort exceeded all our expectations and we are glad that our original plans were cancelled. It was our first time on a seaplane and we received a fantastic welcome on arrival. We were taken to our water villa and shown around the resort enroute. Our water villa was amazing with its own steps into the sea as well as sunlounges, comfortable seating area and overwater hammock on the balcony The bedroom was spacious with a really comfortable bed, free safety deposit box, plenty of storage space, large dressing table and mini bar with selective items being replenished daily free of charge. Selective branded spirits and snacks were available at an additional cost. The bathroom had two sinks and separate toilet and shower rooms each overlooking the sea. The bar and restaurant have exceptional standards. The bar staff were friendly and our standard all-inclusive drinks package offered more than enough variety. The food in the restaurant was amazing and all the waiters went above and beyond to ensure all your needs were met. The two main highlights for me were the watersports and evening entertainment. The entertainment team of Mishi and Chani played a good mix of easy listening music and would always make an effort to accommodate any specific requests. They even arranged for some additional karaoke for my birthday which was really appreciated. I had never fancied trying scuba diving but took up the offer of a free trial. Giulia the instructor was tremendous and put me at ease so much I ended up doing 3 dives - 2 of which were 12metres down. Whilst there is no house reef the resort offer 2 trips per day to nearby reefs free of charge. There is plenty to see snorkeling around the resort but the free trips are well worth the effort. If you are feeling brave why not try the night snorkeling where you can see reef sharks and stingrays. Special thanks on this one to Kalhey who totally put me at ease after I plucked up the courage to do it. On the cultural evening he even arranged a special version of happy birthday for me We did pretty much everything we could on this holiday including island hopping, jet ski, fishing, shark feeding and a visit to the spa. Everything is to an exceptional standard and should be 5 star This holiday impressed us so much that we have already made enquiries about returning next year Read less
