We didn’t mind so much as it was one night and we were tired anyway. The food was amazing soba and the team really looked after us. The french fries at breakfast went down a treat with our omelette and bacon 😂 The pool was immaculate and the perfect hub We saw so many fishes and baby sharks it really is another world. The room attendants are spot on. I would return a million percent! We were sent to their new resort the velifushi, in my opinion this is the better one my review of the velifushi will followv👍 Read less

Loud music is being played. Not a relaxing holiday. The worst place ever. Talked with hotel management three times and nothing happened. We stayed in the water bungalows and the noise was carried well over water.

Staff - so friendly and helpful throughout the resort. The bungalow was kept spotless by Nazir who was lovely to talk to and was informative about the Maldives. The chefs always greeted you with big beaming smiles and always asked about your day. Shouka our waiter was fabulous and again very informative 're the Maldives however his weather forecasting skills were not so good - a standing joke between us. The bar, spa and reception staff were equally as friendly and helpful. Accommodation- we stayed in a beach bungalow and loved it. It seems that they have recently been renovated. They are spacious with an open air bathroom with all mod cons. There is a super king sized bed which is extremely comfortable. The storage is excellent with a single wardrobe for longer clothes, a double wardrobe with hanging space, a deep double drawer and also a safe. Another single wardrobe which has deep drawers. There's a mini bar and also tea and coffee making facilities. Aircon and a ceiling fan in the main bedroom. Outside there is a veranda with chairs and a table as well as sunbeds in front of the bungalow. Outside the side and front doors are showers to wash the sand from your feet before entering the bungalow. Fabulous. Food - the food was fabulous, varied and plentiful. There is a salad station which is highly recommended, other stations where pasta or noodle/rice dishes are cooked for you while you wait. There is also pre-cooked meat and vegetable dishes plus curry dishes and vegetarian. There is fruit avaiable at all meals and sweet treats at lunchtime and evening meal. The variety is amazing and made for difficult choices. We enjoyed every meal during our 12 night stay. Bar - there are 2 bars, one near the restaurant and the other smaller one by the pool. There is entertainment on some evenings. There is a large range of drinks including cocktails but depending on what all-inclusive package you have you may have to pay for premium brands and some cocktails. Spa - we had a Balinese massage which was amazing and I would recommend. There are a large selection of treatments and you can have a free shoulder massage outside the dining room each day. Reception - this was always manned and the staff we always able to assist. Island - this is a very small island that takes around 10 minutes to stroll around. Everyone is barefoot and tended only to wear sandals or flipflops in the evening. There is white sand all around the island but there are also concrete sea breaks all around the island and also near some of the accommodation. Where they are near the accommodation they create a lagoon where fish are easily visible. Most go to the island for snorkelling and diving. We did not participate but others were praising the coral reef and marine life including shark and rays. There is a dive centre on the island. There are also a variety of birds including herons, ghekos and fruit bats to name a few. Health - there is a doctor on the island All in all we had a fabulous time even though the weather was not at its best. The only thing I could find to criticise was that on some paths behind the bungalows the lighting was not so good, but not in all areas. Well done to everyone at the Ellaidhoo and thank you for making our holiday so enjoyable Read less
