Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon

We had a wonderful five days on Elliadhoo. The island, the snorkelling, the staff, the food and drink were perfect. Unfortunately our holiday was cut short as we had a family emergency and had to leave urgently. The reception team were quick to an act and booked us on the next transfer back to the airport with compassion. We are so sorry that we did not have the chance to thank you all, especially some of the staff in the buffet and bar. The service we received from them was outstanding, so kind and friendly. We definitely plan to revisit and finish our holiday in paradise. Read less

Excellent resort. This our first time in the Maldives and it really exceeded our expectations. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially at the bar, Madawa and Jesica, and Anik who did a great job keeping our room spotless. There is live entertainment every evening at the bar which we enjoyed. The food was very good (so much choice even for vegetarians). The best thing for me was the stunning house reef! So much marine life including lots of reef sharks, turtles, sting rays, manta rays and beautiful colourful fish. It was the perfect relaxing break! Read less

We had a wonderful und memorable time at Ellaidhoo Maledives! Great Hotel in the middle of the paradise! Especially we want to emphasize the Kindness and helpfullness of the staff. They are spreading a positive vibe all over the place. Namely we want to mention Akram (waiter, Restaurant Team), Madawa (Bar Keeper) and Athif (Room Cleaning Staff) who fullfilled any wishes we had and always brought a smile to our faces. Other than the highlight the great organization of all processes and departments. We didn't face any ussues during our stay. Last but not least the house reef is incredible and unic. Snorkeling aroubd the island was a real adventure. All in all we absolutely want to recommend the Ellaidhoo Maledives! Read less

Thank you ELLAIDHOO the Cinnamon group must be so proud of you for providing your guests with outstanding service to provide them with the best holiday ever. We flew with Qatar from Birmingham to Doha then Doha to Velana International Airport Male who delivered on service and punctuality to ensure our connections went through smoothly. I would look at a 2 hour layover to get here having read and heard some passengers did not receive their luggage some two to three days after arriving due to delays on the first leg of the journey. Our speedboat journey was only 60 minutes too and I think we all nodded off on it after such a long journey so it that shows how comfortable it was and we enjoyed it even more coming back being refreshed from the holiday. Don’t bother looking at the weather reports which say rain and thunderstorms every day. We did have a little but nothing to write home about and the majority of the time it was around 30 degrees day and night so it was a little relief to get some cloud or a short shower on the odd occasion. The beach side part of the island and inside gardens areas are stunning. We had a garden room which was spacious with the most gorgeous outside bathroom modern decor and decent A/C!! It was 104 located just outside Seanic Cafe and Bar which was the A La Carte restaurant lunch and evenings. My absolute favourite place to eat serving up 3 course meals to order which was why you had to wait but I much preferred that than the buffet restaurant which I never find relaxing so please Cinnamon do not change this to buffet as I had heard as this truly made our holiday with memorable food and service from our outstanding waiters Irfaan (Mr 007) Azmoon (Mr Transporter) and Shifaau (Mr Waterbottle) you guys absolutely made our dining experience and holiday with your banter but also your professionalism with the intimate meal under the stars which made us feel the most spoilt guests there thank you x Special mention to the chefs Singh/ Suneth/ Sampath and Debi hope I got your names right! They even cooked my partner curries off menu with extra chilli’s which were divine. Thank you x Our housekeeper Rameez cleaned our room to such a high standard and provided us with extras when required always one step ahead of us with beach and room towels. We had wine and chocolates left in our room such a lovely touch thank you x The reason for our visit to this island was the house reef and yes the wall to protect the island is not the prettiest but it’s a necessity and you do forget it’s there after a while. As amateurish snorkellers we thought going outside the wall would be beyond us but with the life jackets provided it was absolutely fine. You will be blown away with the marine life which is absolutely incredible. Just watch out for Titan trigger fish they concerned me more than the sharks who pay you no attention! Evening entertainment was mixed from disco, guitar singers, movie night? karaoke etc but you can choose to be part of it or move away as bar stretches right back next to the sea. We met a mixed bunch of nationalities and spent our evenings making conversation instead with our lovely guests and the incredible bar staff. Shout out to lovely Jessica who absolutely made our evenings with her cheeky banter we loved it!😂 Naïf always remembered our drinks plus Osanda Chandana and Madu they all provided exceptional service and greeted us daily with genuine kindness. We used a Chavana Spa twice and the ladies there provided us with the most relaxing Balinese massages. Sorry for the snoring😂 We went to Meeru some years ago and thought it could not be beaten but this place exceeded it and then some. Our takeaway from this holiday is not just the breathtaking beauty that the Maldives offers everywhere but for such a small island it packs a powerful punch with its eco stance, sustainability but above all its the staff, service and kindness that shines throughout.
