Had a wonderful stay at beach villa spending 3 nights in November last year. Not only the property but the hospitality of this resort is just amazing as I enjoyed your hospitality from the get go - ! This is my fourth time to the Maldives but I can say with confidence that this was the best holiday ever ! The ambiance is pleasant, Underwater environment is beyond spectacular (Snorkeling experience was incredible !) and all staff without exception were caring, super friendly and willing to help in anyway. Villa I stayed is very spacious, spotlessly clean with marvelous and instagrammable bathroom which is truly second to none ! There are large selection of food ranging from Asian cuisine to South American cuisine. Particularly staff at Amazonico restaurant went the extra mile to ensure me have pleasant time ! Would have been better If I knew her name - I had the stunning and the most relaxing spa treatment twice during my three night stay which I’d like to give two thumbs up. With very professional therapist, they took the enough time to understand which treatment would suit me the most and helped me remove the stiffness in neck and back perfectly from the long flight journey. Also, So much loved beach café with breathtaking view and layout never forget spending almost whole day there :-) ! Could not recommend more highly ha ha. Literally Gem like the a name of this resort. Great place to come to relax and enjoy yourself and will definitely look forward to returning one day - Read less

About 6 months ago we decided we needed to cross the Maldives off our bucket list. After a lot of research in conjunction with Emma of GoAway travel we settled on Emerald Bay. While not fans of all inclusive operations, the reviews were so glowing and with each island its own resort we decided to book. We took our adult daughter and booked a Superior Beach and a Deluxe Villa for ½ the stay and A Superior Water Villa and Water Villa with Jacuzzi for the back half, our daughter even got upgraded to a pool villa. The accommodations are exactly as represented on their web site and we could not have been more pleased. Surprisingly, we enjoyed the Beach more than the overwater with our own pool and the trees and foliage outside the deck leading the 15 steps to the ocean. Food and service were beyond expectations. Special shout out to Asfar who coordinated everything and always was available. I wish I took note of all the staffs names as everyone could not have been more cordial and accommodating. The woman who greeted us every morning for breakfast, the barista who made lattes and the fresh squeezed orange juice, the various line cooks always eager to please and prepare anything they could even if not on the menu. We met KD and my wife mentioned how much she enjoyed the tres leche cake on the Amazonique menu and from that point on it was made for us every evening. All was so good it was easy to put on pounds from the excellence, abundance and variety. We are all certified divers and had a great trip with Chica and Jessi. Unfortunately, the Covid 19 crisis hit the fan during our stay and we were forced to scramble to leave a few days early. Also, the government shut down diving which was sad as we had travelled from California with the intent of diving at least 3 days. My stress levels were starting to increase as I tried to find flights back to the US after our scheduled Airline, Turkish Air, cancelled. I was able to get what turned out to be the last flight back and the resort supplied a speed boat to get us to a small airport to start the journey. The captain of the boat actually stayed with us to be sure we got the flight to Male and there we were met by an Emerald representative who made sure we got on our flight out of the country. While certainly remote and what required over 30 hours of traveling for us, I would certainly consider returning in the future after the current health issues get resolved. If you go to the Maldives, I cannot imagine any resort better than Emerald. Read less

We were staying in a water villa. The experience is awesome. Their restaurants are fantastic. All are very nice. The best part of everything as they had a surprise for us on our anniversary day. Not just the cake at our villa :) which we guessed. It was much more than that. They arranged a beachside dinner for us and the arrangement is breathtaking (some pics attached). That's possibly the best ever feeling we had in our life. All set up was on the beach under the moonlight with beautiful lights. Chef Benny made our fav Italian and Indian for us, that was based on our request. Thanks so much, Chef Benny for all those lovely food. Thanks, KD for all the set up who arranged everything. And last but not the least Afsar, who was there for us always whenever we needed him. A place which you can't afford to ignore. Remember to take a seaplane to reach there. That experience is just out of the world. Read less

Well, I normally do not write long comments following my trips but in this case I have to make an exception. Everything at Emerald Maldives is perfect. The Staff’ courtesy puts you at ease on every occasion. Literally everyone from the gardeners to the waiters is available and polite. A special mention to the Chefs Aldo and Benny who were so kind to organize a private kitchen lesson for us, with a focus on local/Indian cuisine. We stayed in a water villa with pool. Great choice!! Large bed and impressive bathroom. You can wake up and simply dive into the Lagoon’s warm water. I think I would have enjoyed a beach villa too: the white sand and crystal clear water are inviting and the accommodations are perfectly nested among tropical vegetation. Minibar is always full and complimentary (!!) but most of all, food served within the 4 restaurant is really great. This is a special thing, ‘cause very often food quality in tropical resort is questionable. This is totally not the case at Emerald. French rosé wine, sushi, grilled lobster, reef fish tartare, fresh yellowfin tuna... simply perfect (said from an Italian!). We also enjoyed few excursions: I would totally recommend the “swim with turtles” and the “desert island”. Finally, the SPA must be mentioned too. Therapists are very well prepared and we particularly appreciated the intimacy and silence of each cabin. You can take a shower there at the end of the day and then sneak into your cabin for a relaxing massage to relieve sunburns. Once you are staying there, there’s a very convenient app you can download to navigate through the resort: map, activities, restaurant or spa booking, ... Very well designed and conceived! Do not hesitate!!!! Read less
