The hotel

In the Maldivian language of Dhivehi, ‘Lobi’ means love and ‘Gili’ means island, so therefore Lobigili is, in essence, the island of love. If you’re looking for a romantic trip for two, this is it. Set in an idyllic location with white sandy beaches and sparkling waters, OBLU SELECT Lobigili offers some experiences to make this a trip you will never forget. The largest underwater restaurant in the Maldives, Only BLU offers modern gourmet cuisine with a front row seat to the coral reef – and it’s included in the excellent Lobi Plan. This indulgent plan also includes a complimentary sunset fishing trip and a guided snorkelling trip, so you’ll get to see the best of the island and it’s surroundings after that relax with the included spa treatments. Both the beachfront and over water suites have a modern feel with semi open-air bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes, why not upgrade to the water pool villa for that added luxury of a private infinity pool overlooking the lagoon.

Located on the island of Lobigili, just 15 minutes North West of Male International Airport by boat.

68 stylishly designed villas, all with air-conditioning, tea/coffee-making facilities, iron and ironing board, complimentary mini-bar replenished daily, robe and slippers, hairdryer, flat-screen LCD TV, in-room safe, separate bath tub and rain shower, and complimentary WiFi access. All villas have 1 king-size bed, sleeping 2 adults.

SunNest Beach Pool Villas feature an open air bathroom, cosy veranda, walk-in wardrobe, and a private pool just steps from the beach.

Please note: all rooms have a minimum occupancy of 2 people. Single occupancy is not accepted.

All Inclusive - The Lobi Plan: includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner served at Ylang-Ylang. Selection of freshly prepared local snacks served between 4:00-6:00pm at The Swing Bar. One a la carte fine dining experience per guest per each four nights stayed at Only BLU (pre-booking required, subject to availability). One dining experience per guest per each four nights stayed at Gaadiya 17 Food Truck. Unlimited orders from a wide selection of liquor and premium wines at Ylang Ylang and The Swing Bar, and unlimited orders of signature cocktails from a selected list at The Swing Bar. Soft drinks, mineralised water, and an assortment of tea and coffee available at all outlets. Complimentary use of snorkelling equipment throughout the stay. Complimentary selection of non-motorised water sports. One complimentary sunset fishing trip per guest per stay (weather permitting). One complimentary snorkelling guide trip per guest per stay (weather permitting). In-villa minibar replenished daily with an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with a selection of snacks. Unlimited access to the over water gymnasium. Daily live music performances at The Swing Bar. One 45 minute spa treatment per person per stay (4 night minimum stay required).

Nest Water Villas are situated over the ocean with direct lagoon access, an outdoor shower, and a private overwater hammock.

SunNest Water Pool Villas are similar to the Water Villas, with the addition of a private infinity pool.

Her attention to detail and friendly approach made our trip extra special. We stayed in an all-inclusive water villa, and it was absolutely stunning. The views were breathtaking, and the villa was luxurious and comfortable in every way. The food and cocktails were some of the best we've ever had, with a great variety and impeccable quality every day. The staff at Lobigili were incredible—from housekeeping to the team in the bar and restaurant. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They truly made us feel welcome and added to the overall amazing experience. This was easily the best holiday we've ever had, and we can't recommend OBLU Select Lobigili enough. We had our honeymoon in Lobigili last month and we were glad we did it in OBLU. It was definitely a paradise and what made it more a pleasant experience was the excellent customer service. The food was excellent! Alot of variety which is good because you wont be sick of eating the same food during your stay. The restaurant and bar staff ( Ivy, Puja, Nady, Wintiri, Maya) were amazing. They were always smiling and even knew what drink we want everytime we dine. The employees were very professional, accomodating and very friendly. Our Island hostess, Maryam, is amazing. She was very kind and thoughtful in ensuring that we would still have a good time despite the bad weather. She addressed our concerns efficiently. Our housekeeper, Yeshi and her team kept our villa clean and neat (they do it 2x a day ). They would surprise us with cute towel arrangements everyday, randomly prepping bath to leaving honeymoon cake. Also, they all made sure the bar and fridge are well stocked everyday. The resort also offers excusions as part of their oblu plan. Rishi one of the snorkeling guides was so nice. He really tried to make sure that we can see sea creatures in our trips despite the challenging weather and he even offered to capture a video of my husband doing a free dive. I have been to 5 star all inclusive resorts but the service here is just good. Also, they give you a complimentary dinner at their underwater restaurant, Only blu, which is apparently the largest underwater restaurant in Maldives. We were just glad our first visit in Maldives was with Lobigili. The island was really beautiful and the people made it more lovely. Read less

Amazing service. Happy faces, everyone happy to help and always greeting with a smile. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would recommend to everyone. We stayed in an ocean villa with pool and the place was immaculately kept, always tidy and felt like hole within a day!
