Where is it

Located 118km northwest of Malé in Baa Atoll. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 20-minute fixed wing domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Island followed by a 10-minute speedboat transfer to Royal Island.

Hotel information

148 classically designed Beach Villas. All with terrace, air-conditioning and ceiling fan, satellite TV, complimentary WiFi, telephone, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar*, hairdryer, and safe, bathrobes and slippers, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

All Inclusive option: includes breakfast lunch and dinner in the main restaurant and afternoon tea and snacks at the pool terrace. Drinks include bottled water, tea and coffee, canned or bottled soft drinks and juice. House wine, beer and selected house brand spirits (gin, vodka, rum, arrack, brandy & whiskey) plus selected cocktails, from the main bar and pool terrace, from 10:00am–1:00am. Mini-bar with two small coca colas and two canned fruit juices, replenished once per day (all other items at a charge). Sports including snorkelling equipment, dingy sailing and canoeing. One night-fishing excursion per guest per stay, when staying 6 nights or more.

Please note: Champagne and premium spirits are available at an extra charge.

Premium all inclusive: includes breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main restaurant. Guests can also select one a la carte meal per day at the pool terrace or Raabondhi restaurant. Afternoon tea, a wide range of wines, beers and premium brand spirits, cocktails, tea & coffee, soft drinks and bottled water throughout the day. Mini-bar (replenished once daily) and a selection of land and water sports such as badminton, tennis, snorkelling, windsurfing and stand up paddle boarding. $100 credit per person per stay can be used towards either the spa or diving.

Regular island-hopping excursions*. Overnight picnic trip*. 

Maakanaa Restaurant (buffet, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner) and Raabondhi Restaurant (à la carte specialty seafood cuisine, open for lunch and dinner). 3 bars including Boli Bar (lounge and fun pub) and Pool Bar.

Evening entertainment in the main bar, including live bands and shows.

Swimming pool. Fitness centre. Araamu Spa* offering a range of beauty treatments and massage, in indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, with sauna, Jacuzzi and steam rooms. Water sports including PADI scuba-diving*, snorkelling, day and night fishing*, big-game fishing*. Tennis (floodlighting available at a charge), squash, table tennis, volleyball, badminton and billiards. 

Room service*. Complimentary WiFi available in main reception, Boli Bar and Raabondhi Restaurant.

My wife and I decided we needed a break and what no better area to go to than the Maldives. We looked at many places and decided we wanted accommodation on the beach rather than on stilts over the water. What a better way to start the day then walk out of the villa and straight onto the beach and into the warm water. The accommodation was a good size and to our surprise had a private out door shower. The choice of food and quality was excellent, we didn't need to go to the A Al Carte restaurant although we was told that was excellent too. All the staff in the restaurants were very helpful and could not do enough for you. Every night had a different theme along with the everyday dishes as well. Guest services were very helpful anything you asked they were only too happy to help, Mark one of the guest services people was very helpful, thankyou. Also all of the people in reception did a great job of supporting people and going that extra mile. Thanks for a great break people. Villa is very clean & well served,They check on that twice a day!! Food was very nice & has multiple varieties. Madylene the main restaurant chef made the most delicious, Juisy & tender grilled steak & other barbecue. Araamu spa there is a piece of heaven on earth, where you Really pamper all your sense. I’ve been there 3 times during my 8 nights stay. Supar my masseute for 2 times & Mai for the 3rd were so professional therapists & They really well understood the language & needs of my body. Amazing property and staff. Everything was perfect. From arrival to departure Nipun took care of everything for me. He was very helpful!, very kind and always very friendly. So was the rest of the staff as well. I hope to return- the resort is amazing!
