The hotel

Famous for the continuous white sand beach surrounding the entire island, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is an idyllic setting for romantic and family trips alike. The 52 acre island allows for space and seclusion when you want it, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants with a great atmosphere and live music, when you’re ready for an upbeat evening. Sunset Horizon Water Villas are great for couples getaways – savour that Maldivan sunset each day from your private outdoor jacuzzi with a sundowner in hand, these are some of the most coveted accommodations on the island. If there’s a group of you, you might want to opt for a Pool Beach Villa, with ample space for outdoor drinks on the beachfront terrace and a dip in the private pool. If you’re feeling active then there’s plenty to keep you on your feet, from watersports to tennis, or for a more relaxing activity then visit the award winning spa for a treatment, the kids will be well looked after in the kids’ club whilst you get some much needed “me time”. Where is it

Nestled within the Noonu Atoll, a group of unspoilt islands just a 45 minute seaplane journey north of Malé (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Board basis options

Half Board option includes: buffet breakfast at Iru Restaurant, and a 3-course dinner menu at either Trio, Flavours, Islander’s Grill, Taste of India, or Bamboo, or buffet dinner at Iru Restaurant.

Full Board option includes: the same meal options as the Half Board plan, with the addition of lunch at Iru, Reflections or Fluid Bar.

All Inclusive option includes: the same meal options as the Full Board plan, with the addition of 40% discount on food at Islander's grill at lunch and 50% discount on In villa dining (food only) at lunch and dinner. Enjoy selected beverages in all operational bars and restaurants, one snack per person, per day at Waters Edge from 11:00am-5:00pm, daily ice cream at La Cremeria, mini-bar with wine, beers, soft drinks, water, tea/coffee, and 4 coffee capsules, refilled once per day. All Inclusive of the following activities: stand up paddle boarding or kayaking (one hour per day, per villa). One local island experience excursion per person per stay. Guided snorkelling at Nimo Park. Sunset Golden cruise, once per person per stay. 50% off 'Try Mermaid' experience (guests aged 6 and above). 30-minute organic facial, once per stay (ladies aged 15 and above). $50 credit towards a spa treatment lasting 60 minutes or longer, per adult per stay.

Deluxe Beach Villas with Pool are the same size and layout as the Deluxe Beach Villas, with the additional of a private pool stretching out onto the beach, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Family Deluxe Beach Villas with Pool are larger in size, with a sliding door separating the bedroom and living area, as well as a private pool stretching out onto the beach, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 3 children.

Pool Beach Villas feature a curved private pool with daybed and canopy, as well as a separate living area and bedroom with king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 3 children.

Water Villas are perched above the lagoon on stilts, with steps leading straight into the ocean, and feature a glass viewing floor, private sun deck, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Horizon Water Villas are similar to Water Villas, with the addition of an outdoor jacuzzi on the deck with uninterrupted ocean views, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Sunset Horizon Water Villas offers the same layout and features as the Horizon Water Villas, but are positioned for sunset views from the deck.

Have just got home from a wonderful 7 night stay here for our honeymoon. The service was second to none. From arriving at Male airport, we were greeted by representatives from Sun Siyam who made the whole process of baggage, transfers and seaplanes a breeze in what could be a stressful situation. Everyone we met were friendly, happy and professional. The hotel itself is beautiful. We stayed in an Overwater Villa that was spacious and had everything you needed - along with a stunning view and access into the lagoon (which was like swimming in a heated pool!) Our fantastic room attendant, Hassan, was absolutely incredible. A lovely man who went above and beyond to make our stay personable. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he always had a smile on his face. As it was our honeymoon, he arranged some fantastic bed layouts for us and notes which were really lovely. All the food in the resort was 10/10. We are foodies and admittedly I can be fussy with quality but I loved the food. The restaurants all had a wonderful setting with different cuisines and great menu’s - something for everyone. For breakfast and lunch, the Iru Restaurant buffet had a wide selection of everything you could want. I will massively miss the freshly grilled Tuna steaks, perfectly cooked by Dinesh! We also were looked after here by the very kind Ibrahim who was so attentive. He knew our drinks order after the 1st day and from there on, would greet us everyday with our drinks already on order. He was just lovely and so nice to get to know him. The island showed a wide array of wildlife which was magical. I don’t think I could ever get tired of seeing them all! Manta rays, turtles, black tip sharks, reef sharks, lizards and most surprisingly the huge flying fox bats! The island is clearly well looked after and I think there were more staff there than guests! All very polite and always smiled and said hello. We had our own butler Corinne, who was available throughout our stay if we needed anything. There are plenty of activities to do if you want to, but for us, we were more than happy to just relax, have a stroll along the beeches and go for dinner and drinks in the evenings. Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to any of our family and friends and it truly was the perfect, most special honeymoon, made even better by the wonderful staff. They clearly love working there, many had been there for a long time. A really special mention to Hassan and Ibrahim for those personal touches in making our stay that bit more magical. Thank you! Well, everyone tells you that the Maldives is paradise, but Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is truly beyond all your expectations. From the moment we arrived at Male airport we were welcomed back by the Iru Fushi team , We had short wait in the Sun Siyam seaplane lounge where we were able to freshen up after a long flight .Then a short 45 min flight with the seaplane. We were blown away! Seeing the Maldives from the sea plane is a stunningly and beautiful experience on its own. On arrival we were met by our butler Azzam. This was our second time at Iru Fushi and Azzam once again look after our every need, he familiarised us with the island, our accommodation and all the facilities and all our events for the week ahead was already planned out on arrival. Thanks again Azzam. Every morning, he would greet us and advise us of our itinerary for the day. As per the previous visit the all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, it really added to making the trip memorable. We had a surprise romantic dinner in the wine cellar that will always be remembered. Many thanks to the efforts of Beverage Manager / Head Sommelier Damir.D.Djordjic, we had such a great evening, much apricated. Our Pool Villa was amazing, the Infinity Pool Villa even more so, stepping down into the beautiful ocean was the real highlight. The snorkeling excursion was fantastic! So many colorful fish and amazing sea life . We enjoyed our trip to the local island to see how many Maldivians live, our guide has such a great sense of humour. The 2 hours with him was much too short. The resort boasts five a la carte restaurants all serving food to a very high standard as well as pool and beach bars and the main buffet the Iru restaurant. All of them exceptional! Very hard to choose where to lunch or dine because all are exceptional. We would happily have stayed longer if we could and were very sad to leave. Incredible place, a genuine paradise. Staff very helpful, friendly and polite. They really went the extra mile to make sure our honeymoon was special. Food was some of the best we’ve ever eaten. A wide breadth of different cuisines/restaurants included in the all inclusive package. Good range of activities and things to do, it would take a long time to become bored. A holiday like no other. A few points to improve: We could only have hot showers, would have liked cold for the extreme heat. Cats roaming around during meals was off putting. We didn’t know you had to prebook restaurants before arrival, we had very few choices of time slots left as we had to book them last minute. Our butler overloaded us with information as soon as we arrived from a day of travelling. This was stressful and it would have been better giving us it in writing so we could look at our leisure/figure things out for ourselves. Overall though, it was the best place we’d ever been and would highly recommend. Read less
