The hotel

Here you will find carefree, barefoot relaxation, whether it's in a beachfront villa with your outdoor sofa swing, or if you opt the overwater option where you can lie on your hammock and watch the beautiful sunset. However, if you're unable to get a babysitter for the little ones, the hotel is still a great option for families, with a kids club on hand to ensure you still have some alone time! Where is it

Situated on Meedhuffushi Island in the South Nilandhe Atoll. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 35 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

The Deluxe Beach Villas feature an outdoor shower, and 1 king-size bed, in-built sofa bed, a spacious in-room closet, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

All-Inclusive includes: breakfast at Aqua Restaurant. Lunch at Aqua, Well Done, or The Spice Restaurant. Daily afternoon tea. Dinner at Aqua, Well Done, or The Spice Restaurant. Unlimited soft drinks, tea and coffee; draught beer, selected spirits, house wine, and selection of cocktails. Complimentary mini bar replenished once daily. Jacuzzi Deluxe Beach Villas feature a bathroom jacuzzi as well as outdoor shower, swinging sofa on the beach, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Beach Villas with Pool are located on the beach with a private pool, swinging sofa on the beach, outdoor shower, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Reef Villas are overwater villas featuring with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Sunset Reef Villas are the same as above, facing in the direction of the sunset.

Aqua Villas with Pool are overwater villas featuring a private pool and overwater hammock, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Grand Water Villas with Pool feature a private infinity edge swimming pool on an oversized sun deck, ocean views and steps down to the lagoon. With 1 king-size bed, separate lounge area and a bathroom with separate shower, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Two Bedroom Water Villa with Pool - situated at the end of the overwater jetty, features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living room with dining area. Plus outside features a private pool, daybed, loungers and dining table.

They also have fantastic photo spots all over island with hammocks, cool chairs, sandbank, .. They is not a single bad thing we can share about the hotel and we can recommend it to everyone. Me and my now wife just had the most incredible stay here at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef. From the moment we landed we were greeted with warm welcomes, where the Sun Siyam team took care of our bags allowing us to relax and enjoy the journey to our resort. Our resort manager Didi was absolutely brilliant! He took care of everything for us, booking our excursions, providing information clearly and promptly when requested, and tended to our every need during our stay. Sabiul our room cleaner was also fantastic. Always greeting us with a warm smile and very accommodating, working around our time scales to provide his service, making sure our over water villa was immaculate, clean and feeling fresh every morning and evening. The whole staff at Vilu Reef were so friendly and happy to help with any request. They really made our stay feel so relaxing and enjoyable. The island resort itself is incredible! Great size, not too big or small with a 5min walk from one end to the other, with fantastic facilities throughout. Picturesque beaches surround it with amazing reefs that you can swim and snorkel over at your leisure. The resort is teeming with wildlife, which was lovely to see each time we walked anywhere around the resort. I don't think there was a single negative that either me or my wife can think of and can't recommend it enough! So many incredible memories have been made on our trip, the pictures don't do the resort justice! The manta ray and whale shark snorkeling trip done directly from the resort was an absolute highlight.
