Coin de Mire Attitude

Mauritius, Indian Ocean

The hotel

This intimate hotel offers simple wholesome Mauritian hospitality and sits in lush, tropical gardens, across the road from a lovely beach. There is a generous array of activities and sports on offer, and make sure you discover some of the hotel's Otentik experiences — a Mauritian cookery class, maybe a home-cooked dinner in local home or enjoy local music and sega dancing at sunset. Alternatively, there are two lovely pools, an outdoor terrace and a spa offering a range of signature treatments, making it a little bit too easy to do absolutely nothing! The cosy guest rooms have a cool and contemporary style, just ready and waiting for you to kick back and relax in.

We had a really lovely stay in the hotel recently. Sadly the island is still quiet, but the staff did all they could to make our stay more enjoyable, from Cocktail receptions to games and more. There are so many staff who made our stay enjoyable that i couldn’t mention them all, but they really went above and beyond with their service.

Our stay at Coin de Mire Attitude was wonderful. Luck has it we were the first guests after the Covid lockdown and the whole staff came to great us. That was impressive. And we would very much like to praise the hospitality of the staff, whom in our honest opinion , is the greatest staff we have encountered in our life. Noble mentions to Mr. Vish, Mr. Richard, Mr Kevin, Mr Gangesh and Madam Manuella, who gave us extra attention for the days spent in the resort. Although we had a really small incident with our room , that did not bother us at all. They changed and upgraded for the trouble(it was almost no trouble at all). Another important mention is the fact that everything was sparkling clean. They had a lot of activities programmed. We participated on a special Mauritian dance night, a concert and jazz. All free of charge. They also have water sports included and a beach with sun beds. Breakfast was rich and diverse. We would say it was fabulous. They also have 2 restaurants where you can eat. One of them is with traditional Mauritian food. We tried it and it was a great experience. They also have a Taba-j . A Mauritian kiosk where you can get traditional street food. The kiosk is inexpensive and tasty. I feel the need to mention that the resort is near the road. Cars pass by and make a bit of noise. It didn’t bother us. Value wise I think it is the best option on the island. Can’t wait for the next time we come on the island to visit again. Read less

We stayed at Coin de Mire for our two weeks quarantine before entering Mauritius. Let me tell you that it was a great stay in every single way. First of all we want to point out how amazing the staff is here. Everybody was really friendly and the kitchen team took great care of us and our delicate dietary requirements. Vinay, who basically was there for us 24/7 from Day 1 until Day 14 made us feel like home away from home. We stayed in the Family Apartment and we highly recommend this room category as it gives you an additional room and it feels more than a flat than a hotel room. The balcony also features a small kitchen with a sink, microwave and a hot plate. For more information feel free to watch the Youtube Video about our quarantine stay on our YT Channel "Ricky & Shaton". Read less
