The hotel

Renovated in summer 2017, this intimate hotel offers simple wholesome Mauritian hospitality and sits in lush, tropical gardens, across the road from a lovely beach. There is a generous array of activities and sports on offer, and make sure you discover some of the hotel's Otentik experiences — a Mauritian cookery class, maybe a home-cooked dinner in local home or enjoy local music and sega dancing at sunset. Alternatively, there are two lovely pools, an outdoor terrace and a spa offering a range of signature treatments, making it a little bit too easy to do absolutely nothing! The cosy guest rooms have a cool and contemporary style, just ready and waiting for you to kick back and relax in.

We enjoyed our stay at the CdMA very much. The rooms are decorated with beautiful details and the greenery throughout the complex makes it a place of relaxation. We also enjoyed the many activities at the beach - right across the road - sponsored by the hotel. A special thank to Vish, Avikesh, Bhavesh and Manuella for treating us like queens!!

I loved the decor and set up of CdMA relaxed and the abundance of greenery makes it so gorgeous! Our family room was clean but I will reiterate another review to agree that the mattress was hard and my body did have to adjust! But there were lots of cushions and pillows to help with comfort! The beach across the road was visually stunning however with daily use I would say have beach shoes as the bed of the water had some strange muddy/a little rocky and slippery seaweed areas. Also it’s a shame that motored boats are allowed so close to the swimming areas... the smell of gasoline is unattractive. However the use of the water equipments... pedal-boats, kayaks, boards etc was excellent! Half board buffets are what they are... difficult to have the satisfaction of selection but they had some good grilled meats and the pizza was actually great! And the bread selection were excellent. Try dine at KOT NOU at least once, although the main was spicy it was a delightful meal introduction to Mauritian cuisine. I had a scrub at the spa and although the scrub was good I did feel that the scrub was short of the 30mins allotted time as I was in and out of the treatment room and showered by 5:32 when my appointment was 5pm! However relaxation was what I went there for and indeed that is what we did! Read less

We had a huge family holiday last summer to Mauritius which was the first time our children had been over for about 14 years. I’ll start with a bit of a negative, my son and youngest daughter we’re sharing a room (our eldest had her partner in tow) and we had insisted on a twin room which on booking in took a day to sort out and being on a 10 night trip took a day out of our visit. However this was sorted and the rest of our stay went off without a hitch. The staff were all very friendly and our party got to use their limited French language skills. 2018 was the 25th anniversary of my wife and my Hindu wedding in Mauritius ( a year after our UK wedding) and the staff aided us in our Renewal vows on the beach across the road from the complex. We all had a great time, the evening entertainment was varied but fine. Worldwide buffets each evening from a personal point of view was a bit boring. As I have adult children I would probably not return but if we had visited when the children were much younger then this is a great resort with two pools and a kids club. We paid for us to go on the hotel organised catamaran trip to Gabriel Island which was a lot cheaper than the one offered by our holiday rep and was a great day out with the added bonus of whale watching which was totally unexpected. If you need a taxi book from the reception which is cheaper than getting one from outside. This was my wife and I ‘s second visit to an Attitude Hotel and we are looking forward to trying another one in the near future. Read less

Perfect location for a lovely holiday. The rooms are well designed and very clean and comfortable. We had half pension and the breakfast and buffet was not very special but totally fine. 5 days we eat at different places just to have an other Experience. The spa was also very good, I enjoyed 2 lovely massages.
