The hotel

This intimate hotel offers simple wholesome Mauritian hospitality and sits in lush, tropical gardens, across the road from a lovely beach. There is a generous array of activities and sports on offer, and make sure you discover some of the hotel's Otentik experiences — a Mauritian cookery class, maybe a home-cooked dinner in local home or enjoy local music and sega dancing at sunset. Alternatively, there are two lovely pools, an outdoor terrace and a spa offering a range of signature treatments, making it a little bit too easy to do absolutely nothing! The cosy guest rooms have a cool and contemporary style, just ready and waiting for you to kick back and relax in.

Where is it

In the north of Mauritius, close to the beach near Cap Malheureux. Approximately 4km from lively Grand Baie. The lovely beach is situated across the road in front of the hotel. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

Hotel information

122 rooms on 2 floors in buildings throughout the gardens. All rooms have a garden view, balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, TV, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar* and safe. Superior Rooms with 1 double-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleep maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Interconnecting rooms available.

All Inclusive option: includes breakfast in Le Cap restaurant, lunch in Le Cap restaurant or Taba-J (traditional Mauritian street food), and dinner in Le Cap restaurant or Kot Nou (reservations required, open 4 times per week). Local beverages including water, tea, coffee, local beer, soft drinks, local wines and local spirits 11:00am–11:00pm. Selected drinks from the mini-bar. Afternoon tea/coffee and pastries. Local snacks served with evening drinks. Picnic basket for guests on day excursions. 20% discount on one 'Mauritian massage' between 9:00am–2:00pm (minimum stay 5 nights). Selected land and watersports and entertainment.

Please note: All Inclusive is available from your time of arrival to time of departure. Selected menu items may incur a supplement, charged locally. Guests may also take breakfast, lunch and dinner in one of the other Attitude hotels (applies to a selection of restaurants subject to availability, prior booking required, transfers not included). 

Half Board includes: breakfast and dinner in Le Cap Restaurant. Dinner may also be taken at Kot Nou (reservations required, open 4 times per week).

 

Deluxe Rooms are larger with 1 double-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Deluxe Family Rooms with 1 double-size bed, plus a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Family Apartments have two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with bunk beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Le Cap main restaurant (buffet breakfast, à la carte or live cooking stations at lunch and buffet and live cooking stations at dinner). Kot Nou (typical Mauritian cuisine, open 4 days a week for dinner). Taba-J (Mauritian street food concept, open for lunch and tea time). The Shaker Bar.

This beautiful resort is as warm and welcoming as the weather here. We stayed as a large family group of 14 and the hotel team could not have been more accommodating. This beautiful resort is as warm and welcoming as the weather here. We stayed as a large family group of 14 and the hotel team could not have been more accommodating. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean each day and I absolutely loved the many initiatives this hotel have for reducing their carbon footprint and remaining as eco-friendly as possible. From zero single use plastic, to the refill station at La Boutik and the opportunity to join the team for morning beach cleaning - as must do on your visit! Included in your stay are also fantastic varied entertainment, excursions, use of paddle boards, kayaks and pedalos, and fun activities such as cooking classes and learning to play instruments. The Gym is basic with some fairly new equipment, but sufficient to keep moving while away. Air-con included!! The food quality at Le Cap is good and the buffet is varied. I feel the chefs and serving team really tried their best to cater for differing nutritional needs in our family including dairy free, gluten free and vegan. Sometimes there were miscommunications so if you have a severe allergy, be vigilant! But overall I was very happy with the effort they made, by preparing a dairy free dessert separate for my daughter and I each evening for example, and keeping dairy free yoghurt in the kitchen for us… served with a smile! During your stay, a dinner at Kot Nou is included and I highly recommend it as a beautiful dining experience. The bar staff make beautiful drinks, from cocktails, Mocktail and special tea blends, there is something for everyone. The hotel is well situated to nearby attractions (it’s a small island you can travel the length of in under 2 hours!) but also peaceful and relaxing, with a clean beach and ample sun beds opposite. Overall the hotel and both swimming pools are clean too. Again, the room cleaning team do a great job. I would recommend this hotel and be happy to stay again. Had quality time with all family. Service was excellent. Very warm welcome. All activities indoor or the seaside was well organised by the staffs. Food was amazing. Very cozy place. Will surely come back with all my family again to this place.

The staff was very friendy and our room was beautiful and we had a great few. There is also a gym with good epuipment. The food was delicious and varied. It was easy to get to the beach and you can borrow kayaks and pedal boats (its includet). Over all it was very nice!

It was a nice view from the room to the sea. The rooms were always clean and comfortable. The foot was excellent and varied. The staff was very friendly. The beach was also beautiful and you can do a lot of different activities, there are also equipment for swim in the sea (kayak,…)
