Toiletries are of a poor standard, bring your own! Was very noisy on occasions with companies hiring out parts of the hotel for bbqs etc.... not a tranquil spot for couples! Our bill was also added up incorrectly at the end of the holiday ... to almost five times the actual amount due!! Read less

We chose the Heritage Awali for our wedding in May. Everything was perfect, the staff just can’t do enough for you. We’d especially like to thank Manuella, our personal wedding co-ordinator, for helping make our day exactly how we wanted it. And if you’re debating whether to pay for a photographer for your wedding—you honestly don’t need to. We didn’t, we asked the staff to help take photos for us, and they’re some of the best photos we could have hoped for! It really was the icing on the cake. And let’s not even discuss the size of the wedding cake we received! We had to leave most of it in the room when we left! The food and the facilities at the hotel are some of the best we’ve experienced. Definitely make sure you go to Infinity Blue for dinner—it was one of the highlights of our trip. The heritage nature reserve is excellent too, I would definitely recommend the quad biking—it’s easiest to book this with the hotel when you’re there, rather than in advance (you get a 10% discount for being a guest). And don’t worry about taking photos as you go round, the staff can do this for you and will provide you with all the photos for 1,000 rupees. And remember to wear your swimwear so you can go swimming in the waterfall. The beaches in Mauritius are coral, so i would definitely recommend you take some water shoes so you can make the most of them pain free! Thank you for making our wedding/honeymoon such a memorable experience, we will definitely be back! Read less

Only breakfast could have better selection. Perhaps larger variety of fruits. Try to book all restaurants on the day of arrival as tgey might get booked up. Room: smaller than we expected but well equipped. Compared to other hotels we stayed the awali standard see view room was basic. Do not be alarmed! There is everything you might possibly need and the room has its charm. Housekeeping services absolutely amazing. Big thank you to Sheila. Grounds: Amazing! You will be staying in immaculately maintained garden. Spa: Again 5*. Fantastic service and very good massage. I joined yoga one morning and I found it to be excellent! Gym: According to my partner gym is good as well as all advertised sports facilities. Activities: We went snorkling and it was brilliant. No idea how it happened there was only two of us on the boat. Glass bottom boat trip must be booked well in advance. Our trip was cancelled due to the weather. Golf course: Definitely a highlight of the week. Course itself if challenging, well kept with amazing views. Club House is another asset to the hotel! Food and service absolutely amazing! It became our favourite spot for lunch. Buggy €50, 35 range balls €12. Big thank you to caddy masters for keeping our clubs clean. You will have fantastic holiday ! Read less
