The Le Chateau De Bel Ombré in the Resort offers creative cuisine. We went there for dinner on the day we arrived. We chose a 4 course dinner from the menu. The food was fresh and is the Michelin class. We had tried different restaurants in the Resort and the food were good. Noor, our personal concierge, was very helpful. Our rooms were upgraded including an ocean suit beach front with a private beach😍 Rooms were all sanitised before we checked in. Staff wore face masks and hand sanitisers were in public areas. Because our return flight was in late evening, out of our expectations, manager in the concierge offered us a complimentary late checkout. We had a memorable stay and will certainly come back again next year! Read less

Parent seem to think the whole resort want to listen to their babies constantly crying! There are no obvious adult only areas /pool which is very sad. It is a lovely hotel, the food and facilities are excellent but the constant din of babies and children would put me off of booking this hotel again. Read less

I am a bit late with my review. I spent nearly three weeks in November 2021 after a two year covid break. This was my third visit to Le Telfair and it was my best yet. It already began with the booking process where the reservation staff went out of their way to make my visit despite covid related problems (hotel didnt open up on my first planned visit in September and we had to reschedule three times). Finally i got my reservation fix for November (for the much lower September price even!). After Booking i contacted Jimmy from the TelFair reservation desk to accomodate my early check in, transfer and suite wishes. All wishes were fullfilled and i was delighted to meet jimmy in person on my arrival even, as he came out of his office when he learned i arrived :) Check In already is a pleasure at this ressort. You sit down at a comfy couch in the beautiful lobby, enjoy your welcome drink and the staff does all the necessary orga stuff for you. No hassle. Your luggage already is on the way to your room at this time and shortly after your host, who will be a fix contact person for the whole stay accompanies you to your room and explains everthing you need or want to know. Unlike in other "Butler"-Hotels in Le Telfair your host really is a personal contact person who you will see every day. They will visit you at breakfest or on the beach/pool or on the room every day, look out for you, greet you with your name when you pass by and always ask if everything is ok or you need something make proactive suggestions give information about specials of the day or what you should pay attention to etc. As a single traveller this was a big pleasure as it gives you a warm feeling and reduces the kind of anonymity you can experience in big hotels when travelling alone. My hosts this time were Ashish and Savilen whom both i already knew from my previous visits. Getting greeted by them was really a kind of "coming home" feeling :) Both went out of their way to fullfill any wishes i had and always were reachable via their personal whatsapp accounts. One of the main reasons i initially chose Le Telfair is the Ultra All Inclusive Concept called „Gourmet Bliss“. Unlike in other All-Inclusive-Plans (which only other the buffet restaurant for lunch/dinner) it includes all 12 a-la-carte restaurants for Lunch and Dinner with nearly unlimited food and drinks selection from the respective menue. Some items are with surcharge like Lobster but the surcharges are reasonable. The food in all restaurants is just excellent and you have a big variety of food style (international, italian, mauritian, pan-asian, indish, steak, fish/seafood, pizza, sushi, burgers etc. etc.). If you do like Buffet, at some night these are available at annabellas, the main restaurant and there is a all day/night buffet restaurant at the sister hotel awali which you can also fully use as Le Telfai guest. As i am not a buffet guy, i only tried it once and it was good but i just prefer a la carte. The new gem of the ressort is the totally rebuild Beach Club which also offers a restaurant, pool and beach service and a cocktail bar. The restaurant offers a small breakfest menue with egg dishes. For me this was the way to go every morning, its a quiet place then cause most guests prefer the breakfest buffet at annabellas. The beach service is outstanding and the cocktails come in a steady flow and in excellent quality. Shoutout to my beach waiter Akshay with whom i am still in contact even after my visit. He visits butler school right now and perhaps will greet me as Telfair Host on my next visit, who knows :) Some things new visitors of the area should know: Its always quite windy at the beach, the water has a strong drift most of the time and is very shallow, you basically only can walk not really swim in the ocean. For Kite Surfers on the other hand this is a dream come true and you can watch dozens of them all day :) The sun, while you do not necesarily feeld it due to the wind, is brutal, even with high protection and experience i caught a sun burn on my shoulders on my first day. The big rooms, the beautiful ressort, the wonderful and friendly staff (from the garden keeper up to the management) other reviews covered very well i can just agree here :) One evening of my stay the General Manage of the Hotel Christophe Ramdiane, invited me to a little apperitive chat at the Cavendish bar. It ended up in a very nice and nearly one hour long discussion about the ressorts, the challenges especially after covid, my little nitpicking on small issues and some really nice hors d'oeuvre and glases of champagne :) Mr. Ramdiane listened carefully, as e.g. i mentioned it would be good to have a real chair at the rooms for the secretary desk as more and more people need to work some time even during vacation and it only has a little bench in the room. Coming back to my room a staff member knocked and brough me a chair :) This is a good example how the staff in generally works at Le Telfair, they are listeners and problem solvers and obviously this trickles down from the very top! On a last note: The ressort emphasizes on environmental issues too, e.g. there are no platic bottles, they produce their own drinking water on the island etc. All in all i can recommend Le Telfair 100% if you visit Mauritius, go there, you will not regret it. My next stay is scheduled for September and i cant wait to be back :) Read less

Heritage Le telfair exceeded all our expectations! Pure luxury and understated elegance - an absolute must to experience. From the exquisite hotel suite overlooking the river, to the unspoilt sea and beaches. The relaxation around the pools with daybeds all surrounded by the best restaurants which are absolute culinary delights and so varied that you want to eat at every restaurant to experience the food. The service throughout at Heritage is beyond excellent! From the minute you arrive, the service at front desk, the porters, your designated assistant (thank you Noor) to the waiters at each restaurant is just unbelievable. The attention to detail is SO noted - the signature scent, to the gardens, to the exquisite linen, the toiletries, the comfort and the relaxation that is just beyond! The Cavendish bar is delightful that has live music every evening to suit every guests’ taste of music. Heritage Le Telfair has magnificent facilities for families with small children, incredible wellness spa and a phenomenal golf course and fantastic gym. Everything just WOW! A special thank you to Kavi, the manager at Heritage Le Telfair for operating this exclusive, superb hotel that just topped the most wonderful experience we had at Heritage Le Telfair. Read less

We were a bit disappointed in infinity blue, would not eat there any more. Also le chateau has been better. We enjoyed le palmier the most. Had our candlelight dinner there and twice the lobster dinner. Also the other meals were excellent. Ginja is also excellent and such a nice setting. The gym is good but not very well looked after. We could not register as the pen was empty for at least a week. Sometimes there were no towels in the morning.( we always came at 7) The golf course is excellent and the service very good. Read less
