The First Impression is the Best and Last impression as the saying depicts it. A Friday 13 Sep 2024 not like any other Friday 13. Indeed, as i stepped in the hotel, i was welcomed very warmly by the reception ladies and minutes later, Mrs Roshina came to greet me and welcome me for my day pass to be spent yesterday Friday 13 Sep 2024. In fact, i won a competition organised by Sunlife on Waste Reduction Process and they arranged to extend the date for me despite the voucher expired on 31 August 2024. Mrs Roshina gave me a brief intro about the day to be covered and soon after i met Miss Nitisha, the Marine Scientist who is in charge for the snorkelling trip in the lagoon to watch our corals and tropical fishes in our lagoon. Both guided me for a complete walk around the premises of La Pirogue and i was utterly impressed by the standard of the hotel for its 48 years existence. Thank you to both ladies for their professionalism and friendly approach which made my very first time at La Pirogue memorable and unforgettable. Congratulations and gratitude to the corporate team for their excellent leadership in seeing the dedication of one and all in their part of duties of each department in the compound. I was impressed also by the dedication of the team and management for the dedicated role in sustainability and eco friendly approach and projects be it at sea and on land to satisfy the residents. Thank you 🙏🏼 thank you 🙏🏼 thank you 🙏🏼 for this unique Friday 13. Peace ✌🏼and love ❤️ to you all. Marvellous job well done 🫡 Read less

I really enjoyed La Pirogue. From the time we landed in Mauritius the people were so friendly. Were welcomed at the hotel reception with a welcome drink. While we completed some forms the staff took our luggage to the room. Everybody was so professional and friendly. If you phone for something you received immediate attention. The place are beautifully and well maintained. All the restaurants and bars are beautiful. Most of all the scenery. From my verandah we had the most beautiful view. The staff at the eating places are excellent. They walk the extra mile for a person. The are also a lot of free activities that a person can participate. I Will definitely recommend the hotel.
