The hotel

When you step through the doors of this adults only resort, you'll instantly know you've reached paradise. Soak up the splendour of your surroundings with typical Mauritian architecture, decor inspired by the sea, and a roundabout bar with 360º views of the pool and glistening ocean beyond. The resort is located in front of one of the largest lagoons of Mauritius, Anse la Raie lagoon, and you can spend your days trying out the complimentary water sports, including glass bottom boat rides, or sail out on the resorts catamaran with daily full day excursions (at extra costs). There's also a luxurious spa (not forgetting the 3 swimming pools too) for those relaxing days. Either way, we guarantee you won't want to leave.

Where is it

In the North of Mauritius, on the shores of one of the largest lagoons in Mauritius, Anse la Raie lagoon. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: 1 hour 30 minutes.

Hotel information

182 rooms. All with private terrace or balcony, air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, WiFi, hairdryer, and safe. Couple Rooms are 375 sq ft and are located amongst the gardens, with 1 double-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.  All Inclusive of: breakfast in the main restaurant, Bénitier. Lunch at Bénitier, Taba-J and Coral. Dinner is on a dine-around basis and is applicable in 5 restaurants. A selection of local beverages including water, beer, tea/coffee, soft drinks, table wine, local alcohols and spirits. A selection of local drinks from the mini-bar. A selection of tea/coffee and snacks at the Bulk Shop. Afternoon tea from 3.30pm-6.00pm (self-service, pastries at the Coral bar and local goodies near the main pool). Local snacks served with evening drinks.
Couple Poolside Rooms are 375 sq ft and ovelookng the gardens and one of the pools, with 1 double-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Couple Seafront Rooms a 375 sq ft and have views of the ocean, with 1 double-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Suites are 485 sq ft and have a private outside bathtub and terrace, with 1 double-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

5 restaurants; Le Bénitier (local and international food, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner), Coral (à la carte fish and seafood, dinner), Lemongrass (Asian cuisine, dinner), Kot Nou (Mauritian dishes, dinner), Taba-J (Mauritian street food concept, lunch). 5 bars including a juice bar and tea bar. 

Live music 5 times a week. DJ parties twice a week including one beach party and one pool party (weather permitting).

3 swimming pools. Spa POZ*. Fitness centre. Non-motorised water sports including kayaks, glass bottom boat, pedal boat, snorkelling, lazer boat and stand-up paddle boards. 2 paddle courts and 1 tennis court. Yoga. Otentik Experiences (a meal with a family in a local home, a Mauritian cooking lesson and a stop at the Otentik Bazar). Eco-workshops. New yoga activity on the hotels catamaran including meditation exercises and sunset drinks* (once a week, reservation required).

Superb hotel! The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are great and the pools and beach are beautiful. Superb hotel! The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are great and the pools and beach are beautiful. The food is excellent, particularly the a la carte restaurants. The buffet had everything you could imagine. Special mention goes to Raja one of the managers who not only remembered our names (impressive given the number of guests) but went out of his way to come and chat to us and make sure we were good. It is a really nice touch that the reception staff call throughout your stay to see if all is ok. Overall an excellent holiday. Highly recommended. Read less

What an outstanding hotel, how this is only 4* is beyond me, this is by far the best hotel we’ve stayed at. The hotel was beautiful, well kept, clean and welcoming, there was plenty for us to do over the 14 days. Our favourite restaurants were Kot Nou Al a carte and the Taba J street food. Ther service throughout the hotel was very intimate and friendly. The Buffett each day was well staffed with additional chefs on each food station, we were never short of choices and my wife was well catered for being vegan and lactose intolerance. The pools were clean and spacious with plenty of areas that were private and plenty of sun loungers available. Our room was amazing it had all the amenities needed including the hot tub on the balcony over looking the sea. Were were room 323 with our housekeeping kept looked after by Begum, she was a delight for us and went over and above with little things each day rose petals, animal shoes towels and offering a turn down service each evening, she also helped give my wife a special birthday with flowers, petals and a romantic scene over the room. We also used the spa facility having the Grand mama massage as a couple which was delightful. Along with other treatments. The evening entertainment was different everyday with no two music groups the same and live performances every night. There is plenty of daytime activities, we did the snorkelling, kayak tour, peddlos, pool activities. We ultimately couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon destination. We also found a taxi driver at the beginning of the trip Rayan who took us out over the course of the week to the nature reserve a tour of the island, Port Louis including a tea tour and a dolphin trip which was incredible. We stayed for 10 nights at the Lagoon Attitude at the beginning of September to celebrate our honeymoon and we are so pleased with our choice - the resort is a real slice of paradise. Upon arrival we were met with a welcome drink and cold towel which after 12 hours of travelling was welcome and the staff explained the resort to us. We could immediately start using the facilities and by early afternoon we were shown to our suite which was well appointed and had a bottle of champagne waiting for us which was a lovely touch. The main restaurant had a great selection and a different theme most nights, we particularly enjoyed the Creole night and Chinese. We also ate at the three al-la-carte restaurants as well as the "street food" lunch area which was delicious and a great opportunity to try new and local Mauritian delicacies. Our favourite restaurant was Coral, where we were also spoilt with a special honeymoon dinner which made our experience memorable, and we also used the spa twice and had great service from the ladies there where we each had a full body massage and a facial. The only negative element to feed back from our experience was on one Saturday night during our stay when the resort hosted a Mauritian Party night - it wasn't communicated to us at check-in and we had a note on the door on the day telling us it would be until 10.30pm, but the music went on until 11 and was really loud - we'd chosen the resort specifically as we're not party animals and it had a relaxing vibe and it took the shine off slightly - although we didn't let it ruin our otherwise overwhelmingly positive experience, and we would love to return one day in the future. Krishna the head waiter and sachine the supervisor We loved the food and service at the Kot Nou restaurant, service fantastic and food amazing. Would highly recommended and would definitely go again. We ate there 4 times in 2 weeks and it always delivered! Wendy the chef is amazing!! Thank you so much!!
