The hotel

With a stunning sunset location, flanked by UNESCO World Heritage Site Le Morne Peak, this LUX* resort also overlooks an endless stretch of golden beach. Sheltered from trade winds and on the quiet side of the island, it’s an ideal place to catch up on some R&R. Landscaped gardens surround you, dotted with five swimming pools — select your favourite and pull up a lounger. Romantic in feel, the hotel is also ideal for families, with a superb kids' club offering activities such as treasure hunts, art classes and tennis lessons. Water sports abound, try your hand at snorkelling, water-skiing or kite-surfing perhaps. If you prefer dry land, no worries — team up with friends for a game of volleyball or hire a bike to explore the lush interior. Come sundown, the pace picks up slightly. Head to The Bar for cocktails and live music, or while away the hours in East, feasting on delicious Thai cuisine. Set right beside the ocean, The Beach is also highly recommended, serving up Italian fare in a relaxed setting.

Our recent stay at Lux Le Morne was a vacation of the highest class. Ten days in one of the most breathtaking landscapes we have ever visited – at the foot of the mountain, surrounded by palm trees and water as far as the eye can see. In the expansive resort, you will find many uniquely designed spots, such as the Wish Tree, the ice cream spot, various bars, pools, beach huts and the tree house, and wonderful loungers with bean bags. These spaces give you the opportunity to make the most of your vacation. What makes the hotel unique is its proximity to key tourist attractions on the southern coast and the friendliness of the staff. From cleanliness, restaurant service, beach or poolside service, to a romantic dinner, the staff always made us feel special. A special shoutout to our friends Paul, Shahi, and Outam, who made our stay unforgettable. Thank you for your exceptional and warm service. Until next time, Dani & Basti Read less

Beautiful location set with the back drop of Le morne Brabant a unesco world heritage site. It took us a few days to get into the swing of what restaurants were serving what and what’s included. Do check the drinks menu as some of the spirits are not included. At other hotels we’ve been only charged the difference but here they charge the full cost for the drink. Eg tanqueray gin. All the food we found to be excellent. The kitchen is buffet for breakfast and dinner and a la carte for lunch. The Beach, you must book for dinner and serves lunch at dinner from a menu. This clearly shows what’s in your AIP. We tended to order a bottle of wine in the evening as it could be slow by the glass. There are 3 pools one heated. Plenty of beds and they said the hotel was full. Plenty of shade. We loved the eco things they have implemented. Keep up the good work. You could also loose the wooden sticks in drinks or offer them? Tips: Check out is 11 but you keep the all inclusive until 6pm. Bring rock shoes. The beach although sandy has a lot of sharp coral within the sand. The hair dryer is not very strong so bring your own if needed. Room We stayed beach front ground floor. We loved sitting on our terrace. We did find the cleaners left the service door unlocked. If you locked it you would then not get drinks topped up, so we had to leave it unlocked. I found this a bit odd as anyone could enter your room from the service door. Room 122 on ground floor. There was a nice selection of snacks provided and we loved the outside day bed with its short work to the beach. Staff are super friendly Megane doing drinks, Audrey who moved between restaurants and Paul and Kavashina in the Kitchen. To improve Proper ice buckets in room. Steps from the middle pool to the path, people had to walk across the grass and did so frequently. The Wi-Fi was terrible and that impacted ability to watch telly. Wi-Fi Read less
