The hotel

Nestled in beautiful tropical gardens, Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel is a gorgeous adults-only boutique hotel, offering guests a secluded retreat from the world. Aptly named, it really is paradise here with a pristine white beach and exceptional views of the lagoon and the northern islands from the peninsula. Highly romantic, the resort even offers ‘love nest’ twin sun beds. Also recommended is a visit to Spa Cinq Mondes. Not only does it boast a pool, hammam and flower baths, you can treat yourself to an Indian Ayurvedic massage — sure to banish any lingering cares! At the Paradise Cove, water sports are very much the order of the day, from snorkelling to water-skiing. Come dusk, Stay Bar is the place to sip on tropical cocktails whilst admiring the sunset. There’s live and unplugged music here too but first enjoy dinner at a choice of restaurants. For local dishes, the Dining Room is ideal or experience Asian fusion cuisine at XO. For a real treat, book a table at The Cove — highly romantic, tables for two are set in small huts, right on the beach, beside a coconut grove.

It was an extraordinary stay. Eveeybody was very kind (even when we had a problem with luggage). Food was perfect. Music every night. Nice spots to relax in sun or shadow. And good watersport options.

Amazing stay at Paradise Hotel. Rooms were fantastic, we stayed in a deluxe room, 2nd floor but the steps were worth it with lovely views and a vaulted ceiling. Beach/pool towels seemed to be changed daily along with bath towels. Loved the no reserving sun bed rule, always lots of sun beds in so many locations, you feel like you were in a different place every day. We were All Inclusive which felt like great value. Good selection of wines, try the local Lychee wine. Food was varied and excellent. No need to pay extra for the Cove. We loved the Peninsula for long lunches then “buffet” restaurant for dinner which had an excellent choice of themed meals. XO the Japanese restaurant was a lovely experience. The team at PC were first class, so many to mention but shout outs to Deepak at the Peninsula, Micheal who never stopped all day and Ashina who was a ray of sunshine at the bar. The only 1 disappointment was the water around the hotel wasn’t clear so made snorkelling impossible. The hotel did free bike hire and a 20 min cycle to Grand Baie helped scratch the hitch a couple of times. They also do snorkel trips and a glass bottom boat but it wasn’t swimming from your sun bed as I’d hoped. Looking forward returning next year. Read less

The hotel was first class in all respects. The staff were all helpful and friendly and the service was excellent. The food was very good at all the restaurants and the breakfasts were brilliant. There was a lot to do at the hotel and plenty of space so it never felt crowded. I have never slept as well as here. The beds were really comfortable. I… Read more

What they manage so well is to make it so calm and chilled, there are so many sunbeds, daybeds and cabanas around the hotel grounds all discretely hidden there’s no rush or pressure to find a spot in the sun or shade by the pools or beach. The food was really good, we especially liked the tuna burgers for lunch. Breakfast buffet fantastic as were the a la carte restaurants, and well worth a walk round to the public beach and try some kite surfing. Read less

Each and every staff member made us feel part of their family. Special mention to Rajesh, Francesco ( bambino!), Sangeeta, Michael, John, Pooja ( both in dining room and housekeeping), Lilly. Sorry I cannot remember everyone's name but they were all amazing. The food was the best we have ever eaten in all restaurants. Our room was superb. Entertainment was excellent. Thank you to management ( who we met on a couple of occasions) and to everyone at Paradise Cove. Everything was of the highest possible standard. What a team you all are, congratulations x Read less
