When a person avoids you and tries to evade the matter by making false promises, I told Damien, I know his type. I have sent numerous emails requesting a refund but Preskil Island Resort management just refuse to refund me. They have never explained why they failed to respond to my emails dated 27 and 30 August 24. I shall never recommend Preskil Island Resort to anyone after they ripped me off Read less

Having been to Preskil Island Resort a few times now, I feel compelled to leave a positive review for this business. I am thoroughly impressed by the service provided by the staff of this resort, from the staff at the reception to the managers. They make you feel welcome and comfortable. There is always some type of activity and entertainment going on especially on weekends which makes the dining ambiance there enjoyable. The restaurant 1810 is constantly trying new menus and the chef there and the cooks are very good. Special mention to Mr. Krishna Sanmuthiya who has been friendly, approachable and went above and beyond to make my experience at Preskil memorable and pleasant. You can also ask for Linda who is also always helpful in whatever way she can. Read less

Me and my partner (28 & 30) are first time visitors from the UK to Mauritius and we booked Preskil Island resort for our 2 week stay. We have come to feel at home at Preskil and highly rate the hotel for anyone wanting a relaxed, friendly place to stay whilst on this beautiful island. Staff - the staff are incredibly friendly and hard working. The service during meal times could be a little hit and miss sometimes when it was busy which is understandable but when in the Medley bar the service was fantastic at all times. The man looking after our room (3041) was 10/10 and was so friendly and polite. He is a real credit to the hotel. Our waiter in the 1810 bar for an evening meal was fantastic as well and provided great service. The staff are a real credit to the hotel and go above and beyond for guests. We only had one interaction with a member of staff when we first arrived and were checking in who didnt quite meet the standard as other staff as we felt it was quite a rude/ blunt interaction for our initial welcome but our worries soon went after meeting other staff. Also on my partners birthday, we were surprised with a cake for his birthday and a little sparkler by the staff which they had arranged on their own accord which was such a nice touch and really showed how the staff care for their guests! Room 3041- as mentioned before the man looking after our room was amazing but also when we had an issue with the aircon it was quickly rectified with a quick message to their whatsapp and sorted within half an hour which we were really impressed with! The rooms are pristine and have great facilities. Our room has the most amazing view of the beach and is the best hotel room we have stayed in. Maintenance of the grounds /overall hotel grounds - the hotel itself is maintained beautifully and really well cared for with regular landscaping and cleaning going on. The security take their job seriously and it feels extremely safe around the resort. The beach is clean and everything looked after well. Lots of wildlife such as bats, geckos and birds around which adds to the experience. Spa - we had a couples massage at the spa with Tantely & Cathy ( sorry if spelt wrong) who were professional and friendly and gave a beautiful massage! The whole experience from start to finish was lovely and the spa is also a credit to the hotel. The ladies in there are very welcoming and friendly. The beach is stunning and plenty of space along the whole shoreline to sit depending if you want to be near the pool with music etc or more in the quieter area where you can watch kite surfing etc. the hotel has its own catamaran which was 2400 rupees per person which we thought was a bargain considering its a full day with food! The staff on board were incredible and the whole experience was great! The little shop onsite has beautiful souvenirs etc and also toiletries such as suncream and toothpaste etc which is really handy! You can organise taxi trips directly with reception and the entertainment in the evenings are great - we especially liked the Moroccan night entertainment with the dancers. A note is that each order wether it is food or drink is followed up with a receipt that needs to be signed each time - this was something we had to work out after a few days as we didn’t quite get the process at first. Even with all inclusive your bill will show a price for drinks but it will be deducted once they put it through. I think it would be helpful if each room had a little booklet explaining bits around the hotel to save having to ask staff. The only slight area we feel didnt quite hit the mark for us was the food in the buffet restaurant. We mostly put this down to our own dining preferences as this is our first trip outside of Europe and haven’t experienced such a varied cuisine before so for people with a more varied palate it could provide a great dining experience. However, we did find sometimes the food we did eat wasnt to a high standard that reflects the rest of the resort. The different themed evenings offered variety throughout the week and if some nights weren’t to our taste we would book in with the other two restaurants so there is always options. There are a lot of reviews regarding the food so although this hasnt affected our experience at Preskil too much it is something to consider if you are a fussy eater who doesn’t try new foods. Overall Preskil is a beautiful resort with amazing staff and facilities which has really helped us with falling in love with Mauritius! The people of Mauritius are wonderful and we want to thank Preskil for providing a home from home whilst visiting! Read less
