The hotel

Anyone can stay on a beach in Mauritius — but the prime location of Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa will make your stay that extra bit special. Set on a sweep of lagoon-washed sand, the resort is also framed by preserved mangroves. In the marine village of Azuri, you get to immerse yourself in the cosmopolitan village life and experience the beach and island activities all rolled into one. Passionate about design and attention to detail, the resort offers contemporary interiors, such as an inviting lobby with iconic shell chandeliers, oversized headboards in spacious guest rooms and many more. Guests always stay connected with complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, including the beach. Of course some things reflect the ‘pure beach retreat’, like your balcony or terrace; the ocean and infinity pool option among its four restaurants and bars; and the al fresco activities like water sports and kayak safaris. Guests have also access to activities and restaurants (with credit) at the adults-only sister hotel Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa with the 'Blu Passport Concept' — a unique offering full hotel interchangeability with complimentary inter hotel transfer to enhance your holiday.

Where is it

Situated in the marine village of Azuri, in Haute Rive on the north-eastern coast of Mauritius. 20 minutes drive from buzzing Grand Baie, 15 minutes from Pamplemousses Botanical Garden and 10 minutes from sister hotel Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette (adult only). 25km from the capital, Port Louis, with its malls, shopping streets, and central market. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

Hotel information

101 rooms. All with balcony or terrace with garden or ocean views, floor-to-ceiling windows with sliding doors, smart TV with satellite channels, complimentary WiFi, Nespresso™ coffee machine*, mini-bar* and safe. Interconnecting rooms available on request. Crib on request, subject to availability. Premium Garden Rooms have a terrace and garden views, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults, 2 adults and 2 children or 2 adults and 1 teen.

All Inclusive option: includes buffet breakfast at Le Comptoir Restaurant. Buffet lunch at Le Comptoir Restaurant (or à la carte with a credit) or à la carte at The Nine BistroPub and Black Rock Bar & Grill with a credit. Buffet dinner at Le Comptoir Restaurant or à la carte at The Nine BistroPub with a credit or à la carte at Black Rock Bar & Grill with a credit or à la carte at Café Gioia with a credit. Sandwiches from 12:00am-5:00pm at Cyan Bar (upon request). Afternoon tea. A selection of wines and drinks during lunch and dinner and a selection of drinks at Cyan or The Nine BistroPub until 11:00pm, including a selection of imported brands. Pool and beach service* (selected items). Mini-bar (including beer, fruit juice, soft drinks and water (replenished once a day). Picnic baskets on request. Complimentary land and water sports (tennis balls*). Signature resort activities, including Mangrove Nature Track and Kayak Safari, swimming platform and guided tour to Folkloric Flacq Market. Sports Centre: cardio, body-building, aerobics and pool. Access to the sauna and hammam. Kids club.

Please note: All-Inclusive is available from your time of arrival at the hotel until your time of departure, regardless of check-in/check-out time. Some menu items and mini-bar items may incur a supplement. Lobster nights, special dinners and theme evenings are not included. Guests may also dine at sister hotel Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette (adult only): buffet or selected à la carte lunch dishes and à la carte dinner at Aqua Beach Restaurant (including transfers, reservations required, subject to availability).

Half Board includes: breakfast and dinner at Le Comptoir or at other restaurants with a meal credit. 

Premium Ocean Rooms have a balcony or terrace, and are just steps from the beach. Each has either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults, 2 adults and 2 children/teens.

Premium Beachfront with Plunge Pool Rooms* are located on the beachfront overlooking the preserved mangrove, and have a private plunge pool and either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 teen (please note that the minimum age in a Deluxe Prestige Room is 12 years).

*Please note that the Premium Beachfront with Plunge Pool Rooms will be upgraded to Beachfront Junior Suites with Private Pool as from 1st November 2024.

4 restaurants including Le Comptoir (local and international cuisine, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner), The Nine Bistropub Restaurant (overlooking the beautiful greens of the golf course - bistronomy cuisine open for lunch and dinner), Café Gioia (homemade pastries, pizzas and paninis during the daytime and Italian cuisine for dinner, open 8:00am-10:00pm), Black Rock Bar & Grill (a casual steakhouse to discover the best cuts and sensational burgers) and Cyan Bar (cocktails and light menu including tapas and burgers light sandwiches, open until 11:00pm). The pros far outway the cons. We arrived late as our flight was delayed for an hour so we only arrived at the hotel at around 23:30. Tirsha was there to greet us and ensure that we got settled. The following day we met with our guest relation rep Adarsh who has made our stay so special. He is an amazing young man, well versed with the most pleasant disposition and immediately knew our needs based on our character. Supplied us with all the information we needed to know about the hotel and our surrounds to ensure that our stay would be comfortable and pleasurable. Vinay ensured that the staff were looking well after us and was always visible liaising and engaging with the patrons. Made sure concerns were dealt with efficiently.. Then also much thanks to Ramesh and Angelo and their team of waitrons who made us feel like priority when we entered the dining area...Thank you to the chefs for all the yummy dishes. Rajesh the barman at the Cyan bar......thank you for engaging us and the lovely cocktails. Like I said there is just so much to say. It doesn't mean that this resort is all perfect, as it can only be experienced personally. I suppose if you as a patron have the right attitude and treat people with the respect they deserve then this review I wrote is exactly the service you gonna get. Just returned from an 11 night stay at the Azuri Blu. The hotel is excellent, spacious, clean and well maintained rooms with great facilities. The pool area has ample sun beds and the kayaks, paddle boards and pedelos were great fun. The hotels staff are incredibly friendly and so happy to help. Vinay the Guest Services Manager arranged excursions for us both of which were amazing. Angelo and the restaurant/bar team were all great too. We'll definitely return to Mauritius and the Azuri Blu for another relaxing family holiday in the future. Read less

My husband and I had a fantastic stay, we can not say anything bad about it. Sha hil is a credit to the hotel very polite, attentive and always a smile on his face. We found all the staff very friendly and couldn't do enough to help definitely would go back.
