The hotel

Anyone can stay on a beach in Mauritius — but the prime location of Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa will make your stay that extra bit special. Set on a sweep of lagoon-washed sand, the resort is also framed by preserved mangroves. In the marine village of Azuri, you get to immerse yourself in the cosmopolitan village life and experience the beach and island activities all rolled into one. Passionate about design and attention to detail, the resort offers contemporary interiors, such as an inviting lobby with iconic shell chandeliers, oversized headboards in spacious guest rooms and many more. Guests always stay connected with complimentary WIFI throughout the hotel, including the beach. Of course some things reflect the ‘pure beach retreat’, like your balcony or terrace; the ocean and infinity pool option among its four restaurants and bars; and the al fresco activities like water sports, sunrise beach yoga, and mangrove kayak safaris. Guests have also access to activities and restaurants (with credit) at the adults-only sister hotel Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa with the 'Blu Passport Concept' — a unique offering full hotel interchangeability with complimentary inter hotel transfer to enhance your holiday.

Our stay was the 08/07 - 20/07/24. I have to say that we found the team on the whole are amazing. All of them seem to work extremly hard in giving fantastic service and ensuring that your holiday meets and surpasses your expectations. The resort has several al a carte restaurants which can be used - and allonce of 800 mauratian rupees per person is allowed against the menu. This allows you to enjoy an alternative to the buffet if you fancy a change of scenery. Our favourite was the 9th, which we only found out was included on our penultimate evening, followed by the italian and then black rock (we werent too keen on the black rock due to an issue with the manager (name I belive begins with C - but removed his name badge before I could read fully) - the name badges need to be a little larger - those team members who perform will need to be recognised, as do those who under perform. Im glad to say that this was an exception and maybe a one off due to the bar being busy due to the Euros being on. The rooms are clean - ours was 1105 and had a partial sea view and was close to the pool and bars. The mini bar was filled daily, beer and soft drinks are included in AI. Entertainment was a little limited in the evening, but when there was music it was nice. The buffet food had themed evenings and there was always lots of choice. Would be helpful to have prior notice of the theme though, as this would allow you to plan a little better - eg we went to an al a carte one evening when it was chineese night - which we would have liked to have had. The theme is only notified at breakfast. The lady at the egg station at breakfast and I think she works at the Italian had the most welcoming smile - sorry I dont know her name, but well done to her as she was very helpful. The night manage at reception was very helpful - he sorted packed lunch, early breakfast for when we had an early start or a day trip - this was despite it being late - i think his name was Salvish - Thank you Another good thing is if you want a change of scenery the hotel offers a shuttle bus to its adults only hotel about 10 mins away. This is great for an alternative view and I have to say we really enjoyed having luch at this hotel. The Azuri resort feels very safe and the only downside is the early reservation of sunbeds - get up after 8am and you have no chance of getting a bed by the pool. The team do not feel empowered to address this, I note one night someone left their towels on two beds and even though the team were aware of this they felt they couldnt remove - in order to aid the situation I took them to reception as the owners must have forgotten them. I think putting notes on beds indicating that towels will be removed in say 45 mins if they are not being used is a fair compromise with the time on the card - I note on one of the days we had beds round the pool - we saw some which where not occupied until after 4pm which I think is so unfair. There are plenty of beds on the beach, but this was a little windy when we were there. all in all a great holiday, Read less

What a wonderful holiday. From check in where we were greeted with a drink and clean towel, to check out, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Radisson blue Azuri. We were on the all inclusive package and I will try and breakdown our experience which may help:- Rooms - We upgraded to a sea view room which was clean, spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had both a large bath and a shower which was perfect for us. There was a kettle with tea and instant coffee to use free or you could pay and use the Nespresso pods. The mini bar was stocked with soft drinks and beer which were again free. We were on the ground floor so couldn't really see the sea, but it was in a good location facing the pool area. Le Comptoir (Buffet Restaurant) - This serves buffet style meals and in my opinion was exceptional as it wasn't normal all inclusive food. We have stayed all inclusive in the past where there has been an overwhelming amount of choices which is packed high and sometimes a little tasteless. This was different as each night was a different theme. Food was being cooked fresh in front of you and it was very tasty and well seasoned. The salads and cold meats were lovely as was the soup for starters. A special shout out to Ramesh who was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. BlackRock Grill - I had read reviews which said that this wasn't an all inclusive restaurant. I strongly disagree with this as there was something for everyone. There was a 3 course menu which was part of the all inclusive package or you could order off the menu. If you order from the menu, you have 800 rupee towards your meal - for example, a wagyu burger is 715 rupees (and delicious). If you wanted to upgrade to T bone or fillet steak then you could and you could put the extra money towards. You can also eat here for lunch with 600 rupees towards your bill. A enormous shout out to the barman, Nayush, whose cocktails were to die for. He was an absolute wizard at creating the most wonderful drinks and never let my glass run dry. The manager, Kanden, was also very pleasant and made room for us on a couple of occasions, even though we hadn't booked. Cafe Gioia (Italian) - For me this was the restaurant with the least atmosphere although the food was very good. As with the BlackRock, you have 800 Rupees towards your meal which is plenty to cover most pizza and pasta dishes. The Nine (Restaurant at the Golf Club) - Stunning views overlooking the lake at the golf club. The food here was stunning. Very rich and delicious. There is a golf buggy which takes you from reception to The Nine. We were invited to dine here for our 25th wedding anniversary celebrations and the team had made us a beautiful cake. Cyan Bar - There was so many wonderful cocktails, again made fresh by hand which were part of the all inclusive package. Beer, bottled Guinness and wine too. The rose, red wine and sparkling white wine were all nice - the white wine wasn't to my palate. The entertainment on a night is low key with singers 3-4 times a week and background music the rest of the time. The staff here are very attentive and Sahib in particular never stopped smiling. Very welcoming atmosphere. Pool and Beach Areas - The pool was lovely and heated during the winter months (we visited in July). There is a distinct lack of sunbeds around the pool with people getting up quite early to reserve one, although there was always sunbeds on the beach or adjoining areas, so we didn't struggle to sit out. The beach and sea are lovely although on a few of the very windy days, there was a lot of sea weed washed up. The staff work very hard to clear this and do an amazing job. Plenty of activities on the water to keep you entertained. Lafayette Poste (sister hotel) - There is a free shuttle which takes you to and from Lafayette which is an adults only hotel. The all inclusive package works here too and it made a nice change to spend the day here. Weather - This is totally out of the control of the hotel but it may help some people who are looking to travel in Winter. We visited for 2 weeks from the 7th July and the weather was perfect. The wind was quite strong for about 5-6 days but this didn't stop us from sitting around the pool. The sun was warm and strong and perfect for sitting in. We had the odd splash of rain but there wasn't a day where we could not sit out. Overall, our holiday was exceptional, made all the better because of the wonderful staff. - thank you! Read less

From the Reception team, to the Restaurant team, the cooks/chefs, house keeping, the bar staff & the spa team -all gave an excellent service, the best any resort could provide. The resort is exactly as described on their web pages so I won’t go into details here- it’s an absolutely wonderful place for a relaxing break which is what we wanted this holiday. However It is the amazing staff which makes this resort the superb place it is ! Planning our next holiday there already :) Read less

Staying at Radisson Blu Azuri Mauritius was by far the best decision we ever made. Second time around staying here for us and honestly no better place for comfort, food, facilities and above all customer service. Special thanks to Customer liaison Manager Vinay and his wonderful Reception team, House Keeping and on-site facilities teams. Also big shout out to Vinod and Ramesh the catering managers and their fantastic catering and bar teams. Honestly, I have taken the names of 20+ staff members to thank personally but sadly too many too mention on here. The staff know who they are as we speak and thank them daily. Nothing is ever too much to ask any staff member. Spa, pools, boathouse, golfcourse, restaurants, shops make for a very pleasant stay. We feel safe and secure here to as the in-house security are outstanding . There's everything you need on site for a comfortable stay but hotel reception can offer so many excursions and trips off site if you fancy an away day. We are sad to leave but more determined than ever to return for a third visit here (already planned). Blu Azuri Hotel is a fabulous stay but its the friendliness, warmth and sincerity of the staff who make it doubly worth it. Thank you so much. Read less
