First half. Arrived mid evening after a 12 hr journey. Not even offered a drink of water. Told to sit in reception and that was the last we saw of the staff member for 20 mins. Tried to give us details of the complicated All inclusive system while a loud jazz band was playing . By the way the term “all inclusive “ is incorrect...partially inclusive would be more honest. Too many if's but's and maybe's. Be prepared to check almost everything you order to see if it is included. The waiting staff in the bars and restaurants are in need of serious management and the managers are in need of serious training. Waiting 15 -20 mins or even longer for service is just not acceptable. In fact at the Italian restaurant we waited for almost an hour for our meal. Second half. My husband complained after 3 or 4 days of dismal service and then things did improve a great deal. The staff couldn’t do enough to help. But this should have been right from the start...I just hope other guests are now benefiting from our complaints. The hotel is definitely not 5*. Rooms especially the bathrooms are very tired. I know rooms are being refurbished but unfortunately we had ones that hadn’t been. Some steps and paths are badly lit ...dangerously so in a dark evening. One of our party fell down three steps in the dark...luckily onto grass. This could be a lovely hotel ...the grounds and beach are beautiful and many of the staff couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. But it does need some strong management....both senior and middle. The service was very poor and slow. Waited for more than 30 min after we have ordered our drinks, specially in the Buddah bar. This was an ALL INCLUSIVE package we bought, but they must rather call it an ALL EXLUSIVE. Only allowed to drink the cheap wine, gin, whiskey, brandies and beers. Also on the food menus (except the buffets) at all the restaurants just a limited list of choices. The breakfast buffet was terrible and boring! We even had to pay for our coffee that was available in our room. This was a first for us!! The room was fine but our air con wasn't working at low temperatures. So overall not a 5 star....maybe 2 star! Read less

Tonight we leave after 7 nights here. It’s been the most relaxing and fun honeymoon we could wish for. Love that you can eat and drink at a number of different places Rather than just one dining room. All inclusive package was VERY worth it. Make sure you do the free snorkelling trip and gym activities like yoga and tennis - it will make it a great stay. Also the band breakers are amazingly talented singers - make sure you check them out. Mainly thank you to the following staff who made it great: Adam - our bartender buddy at citronellas, thanks for all the ice :) Dillan - always a smile and a dance! He was great at letting guests win ping pong and taught us his special hand shake meaning blessed Astrid - always Looking after my many requests for vodka and soda by the pool Soobis - the best brekky waiter who was so attentive and had such care in his work. And finally to Vishager- the legendary lifeguard who almost beat us at bingo, drew us a beautiful drawing and chatted with us every day. One day we witnessed him have to handle a difficult situation whereby a guest refused to abide by the “quiet pool” rules - V-man as we liked to call him - handled it so well even when he was being spoken to so rudely. Well done to everyone - a very special place!! Love the happy aussies from 555 x Read less
